      I responded to an ad on social media looking for all types of models and was contacted by ***** of SOUL Studios and scheduled for a shooting on 8/11/23 at 1;30 at ***** ********* in Atlanta. (soul-studios.us). A $50 deposit was taken and promised to be returned , When I arrived the space was dark and doors locked. My phone was out of battery but another couple called and got no answer, I went to shop at Estate Sales and when I returned nothing changed. There was no directional signage at door or phone number to call, I later got a text that I had not showed up for appointment. WRONG. ***** told me since I didn't show the $50 would not be returned.This seems like a sham/con/fraud. If SOUL Studios' intention is to book photo shoots then site should be occupied or directional signage attached to door. I SHOWED UP AND WANT MY $50 BACK!e

      We had our first client show in at 9:17am and was put through - our doors were open. You did not show up to your 1:30 schedule appointment.  Our 2pm client showed up early at 1:26, we saw  a total of 8 clients that day.  It is sad that you need to make false statements to recover the deposit you were aware of would be lost if you did not show up.  However I will issue your deposit refund as we will not book you back in.

      I was sent by Atlanta scouts We had a test shoot/modeling assessment on 8/12/2023 I paid 50 deposit that was to make sure I showed up at the photo shoot When we got there I asked if they needed to see my ID as they said I would need to enter the building but they said no not right now then they instructed my daughter to hang up her clothes on hangers and she did then they started make up and all of that while they were doing that I was handed what to me looked like a simple questionnaire form it had questions like height eye color hair color & if I would allow them to use her photos for promotional use and since we assumed they were legit we agreed & we planned on paying 399 for the photos assuming we got to take them home After the shoot was done we were told to wait and then we were called into the modeling consultants office we were rushed through a contract which was said to be emailed to me but I have not received I have looked in spam folders and everything all i got was the receipt for the down payment I put down towards the **** because she said that my daughter was model material & we should go for the starter package for **** but when I said that was too much she brought it down to **** In that package I was to get all 28 of my daughters photos a comp card a list of agencies to send the comp card out to for me to find jobs for my daughter also said my daughter would have a web page & needed to create a brand new instagram for promotion purposes Also told ******* daughter that they would also use my daughter's photos for promotional purposes and if a company came & said I want that model that they would set up a gig for her with them that my daughter would get paid **** for shoots and **** for commercials per gig It's all false I want a refund & to cancel all contracts and release forms It's all a scam I found out with a real modeling company there is no such thing as a starter package & test shoots don't cost ***************** don't get web pages Red flags

      I am rejecting this response because: I have a legit email address. So can you explain how I got the receipt and did not get the email with the contract? I have checked all folders including spam and have not received any copy of my contract. I have also done research through my bank and the transactions are coming from cherry blossom ***** not icon studios or even atlanta scouts. The emails are fishy because I'm pretty sure they are all fake names that don't even include a last name. I'm even having the police look into it as well. So if you would please just cancel all photo release forms that i signed for promotional use ,delete all my daughters photos from your system and cancel the contract and send me a refund of my $250, I'll be satisfied. I have tried to contact ********** and guess what her number is not available anymore and she told me it was her direct line. I did contact icon studios but always get a automated response saying you are closed even during business hours and the stylist said icon was open 7 days a week so how would it be closed on Sunday or even especially today Monday. Also I have talked to several agencies and they said as u said your not an agency your just a studio so how would you be able to tell someone how much they would make on a gig because you told us **** for shoots and **** for commercials. I chose to have a middle person mediate this between us so you couldn't fill our heads with more lies. I have seen all the reviews for your company and all clients have said the same thing as to what you did to us. Also every modeling agency I've talked to said there is no such thing as a starter package especially for **** let alone **** and they said the fact you even dropped a price so low from the asking price was a red flag. The agencies have pointed out so many red flags and said you and your company were definitely scamming me and everyone else with the same issue. Just accept your faults I have accepted mine which was not doing research before going ahead with all of this. Just refund my money and cancel all contracts and photo release forms and erase my daughters pictures and we can go about our day.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have received the copy of the contract finally was sent today. If this is all legit I will take action to insure I resume as planned with the payments ect. But it's still questionable considering ********** has no available phone number all of a sudden. I'm still doing research and talking to my bank for investigating this whole mess.       I was invited to do some test photoshoot to see if I could do some modeling at this studio on August 12, 2023 at 11:30 am after being selected from an online model search.I DO NOT wish to proceed in doing any business with the company for many reasons. 1. Failure to disclose what the company is about by the consultant that initially contacted me.2. The service provided yesterday, hair, makeup, and photos taken, is NOT satisfactory to me (I was clear on this).3. The high upfront fee charged for providing services without an agent ($4270). 4. The urgency to make a forceful decision on the spot or risk having all of the photos deleted after I asked for a couple of days to consider it.5. No contract or photos received.6. Upon doing some research after I got home, so many complaints of the company being fraudulent and scam.I do not wish to proceed with this company. Please refund all funds taken from my credit card. I contacted the credit card company and informed them of the transaction, which is currently pending.Also, I am requesting that all pictures taken of me be deleted and never used!Thank you.

      I was invited for a photoshoot and then offered to get a $1,500 modeling package. The lady in the office said I have to make a decision right now. So I couldn't call anybody to ask for advice so I agreed and paid for the package. When I got home a did some research and I feel like I was scammed. She was very persistent that I need to be a model. Honestly, I don't really know what I paid so much money for since I never got a copy of the documents I signed. It really feels like I was scammed. I am supposed to be receiving photos on Monday. I don't really want those photos anymore. I would like to get a refund.

      This business is a scam!!!!! They took 600 dollars from me only allowed me to view photos of my child like they are holding them hostage till more and more money is paid. It's pretty sad you have to pay thousands of dollars to a company for photos they took of your child. I should have definitely did my research on this company before driving two and half hours away to only be scammed. No actual modeling company should make you pay thousands up front, no company should make you wait weeks and weeks to see your photos. I want a full refund and also I want to know my child's photos have been destroyed because at this point after the reviews who knows what they are doing with the photos. Sincerely, one very upset momma. Sad business you are running here to get peoples hopes up only to be lead on by a scam. They even go as far as showing other people's pictures to get you to believe them. Again I should have went with my gut and not went but my child was so happy to finally be able to pursue her dream. And she will get to but just not with being scammed.

      Your response on the BBB is absurd. I have all the proof of me contacting this company from the moment I realized I had not received a contract, I text ***** the marketing person whom I was in contact with, called the number on the card given, once ***** gave me another email address on Monday I emailed it and not till I made a complaint was I called or messaged back. (Still have not received any contract from you, I received receipt and refund information but NO CONTRACT(which is useless now just as much as the day I was there)I have checked my scam folder since Friday 6/16/203.) As all your responses have been to everyone who has put in a compliant. Especially the member of ***************** Military, I mean how could you not care about someone who is fighting for your freedom and allowing you to work for a company that is a scam. 
      I did receive my refund but still no contract which isn't even a concern now however you are lying to make your company look good and that is not how a business should be ran. 
      Also I didn't say the pictures were being held hostage I stated it's ridiculous for your company to make someone pay that of money before getting the pictures of my child and not to mention how much of a scam this is that y'all are doing. 
      I will let it he know that this company is a scam. 
      In closing I ask for proof my child's photos are destroyed and not used on black market along with our information or the photos be released to me or I'll take legal action. 
      I want a response ASAP. 

      AGAIN I WANT PROOF THE PHOTOS ARE OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM OR ALL PHOTOS TAKEN OF MY CHILD SENT TO ME AND THEN DESTROYED OUT YOUR SYSTEM.

      On 11/29/2022 I received an email stating that I had an outstanding balance and I responded that I do not have an contract with this company and have someone validate the debt and no response. On 12/15/2022 my account as I am now being told is now being put in collection agency called ***************************. I called collection company and requested them to send me the contract that I signed for this. It was given to me and My signature on the contract isn't even mines. I am taken back to see that months or maybe about an year later I was charged ****** dollars off of my credit card on 8/1/2021 for this payment. Which I have to ask the credit company if I can dispute this due to this was not authorized. I contacted Icon Studios regarding this, and no response , I only contacted them regarding this and I will be sending dispute letters and taking to a lawyer about this. The pictures I did take but I walked out right after and did not sign up for services. I went through the whole process of talking to the manager/sales person and gave her my information but decided not to go through the process. Please let me know if I have to file a police report because I did not want services with them and pay a lot of money for photos thats why I declined.

      I am rejecting this response because please supply me with video documentation and yes I did review documentation and photos with the agency, even got as far as giving my car info but then my spouse who is the witness said that I declined to move forward , second the contract doesnt have my actual signature which is alarming because I sign my name completely different from what was presented on the contract, please advise on the proper way to start this investigation on who signed me up for this, I will be consulting an lawyer regarding this.       Soul Studios charged $4000 and promised to give information on modeling agencies and all we had to do was send the pictures. However, all of the contact information they gave were websites and more than half are no longer available.

      On June 11, 2022, my daughter went to the ICON studio. There was a $50 refundable fee to schedule the shoot. The representative presented my daughter with a package of $2,800. My daughter to the rep that she needs to talk to me first before agreeing on the contract but the rep insisted that once she left the premises the offer is off the table. My daughter agreed to pay a $450 deposit on that day. My daughter told me that the studio will send her photos within 8 weeks. My daughter was a student and had no source of income. She spent money in my bank account. Then the studio charge my bank account another $300 on July 11. The total of $750 should be more than enough to cover the photos that my daughter took on June 11. After 8 weeks, I didnt see any proof that my daughter ever gets any photos or service from the studio. I am very upset so I cancel the credit card. I have forgotten about that incident for a few months, until October, my daughter showed me a threatening message from the studio to her. Below is the text message from the studio: DEFAULT NOTICE from Soul Studios. You have 7 days to contact us with regard to your arrears before we commence legal proceedings to recover the monies owed. Please contact us at ************ or email ******************************************. We are open to discussing favorable remedies including reducing your order to a more manageable amount.The studio pressured young and **** people like my daughter to pay thousands of dollars from their parent's bank account without providing any photos or services. Then they threaten those young people with a legal proceeding. My daughter paid for the studio with my money and the **** representative did not let my daughter ask for my permission. I want my $750 back and want the studio to stop contacting my daughter.

      I went in for photography portfolio pictures on September 13th, 2022. I was very pleased with my photos and intended to purchase the $800 package for 12 photos. I began talking to the talent recruiter. She told me that I was born to be a model and could get modeling jobs If I purchase the $3999 package. I stated that I would like the 12 image package, and she stated that with my potential and if I was serious about modeling, I needed to go with the much more expensive package that would BOOK ME JOBS. This package included 36 photos, a website, and cards ready 6-8 week after purchase. I have no use for these, I purchased this package for the placement and procuring of modeling jobs. She told me that I could book multiple jobs if I purchase this package, and that I can earn the money I invest back by booking two gigs which she would facilitate. She stated that they are not an agency, but continued to imply that ICON Studios would be getting me jobs with the job services included in this package. She pulled up a contract on a tablet for me to sign. The text was tiny font I could not read because the tablet was small. Therefore I did not read nor consent to the contract that was presented to me, and fully trusted what this so called recruiter was saying matched the contract - which did not and therefore is FRADULENT. I left and read the email, it stated that the services provided by the seller DO NOT INCLUDE ACTUAL JOB PLACEMENTS and services cant be cancelled or reduced once I leave the premises. This was NEVER TOLD TO ME. I was misled and deceived. It was less than 24 hours since this purchase. I've contacted ICON Studios via phone and email and have not gotten a response. I have not received any services yet therefore a refund can and should be rendered.

      I see you reached out to us two days ago regarding how to book jobs and were replied to the same day with instructions to call and book your conference call with us so we can go over all these details, however I do not see a record of your scheduling this call. I will have someone from the mentorship team reach out to you so we may set this up and provide guidance as to how to best move forward with your package. 

      Lastly, please note you have received all the products, images, website and z-card, you were not misled or decieved - the contract clearly states in bold " The provisions of this agreemen have been fllly explained to me and I understand that the services to be provided under this agreement by the seller do not includle actual job placement." - this statement is in bold and by itself  - which you initialed,and were fully aware.

      On June 22nd 2022, I went to a photo shoot that was scheduled with a rep who called me about the application I submitted for my daughter. There was a $50 refundable fee to schedule the shoot. It was expecting that I was going to be presented with a package for my daughter at the end of the shoot but had no idea it was going to $4,000. When the representative told me the amount I told her I was not in the position to do that amount right now and I also stated that I will need to consult with my husband who was at work at the time before I could make any decision. I was not able to speak with my husband so I told her Ill have to come back. She insisted that once we left the premises the offer is off the table. Sitting there looking at my childs face after the rep ask her if she want to model I was pressured into paying $1,000 and the balanced was on a payment plan before I left that day. I did not feel confident in what I did so later that night I spoke with my husband. He then called the company 2x that I know of and he gets no answer. The following Tuesday he told me he spoke with a ***** man (cant remember his name) but he said the ***** man promised to refund the $1000 and not charge my **** again. Today is August 1st and I still have not receive the refund on top of that my **** was charged on the 7/28 in the amount of $******. Im not happy right now and is requesting that the contract be cancelled and my initial $1000 plus ****** be refunded back to my card.Thank you.
