I have been pursuing fertility for about 2 years. ****************** is pretty knowledgeable, but I take issue with some staff. I don't know if they are understaffed, unknowledgeable or if they just don't care about patients. *** lack of clear communication, lack of empathy, severe delays in treatment and oblivious to patients needs is incredibly disgraceful. I feel the behaviors are due to age, color and financial discrimination. I pay over $800 per month out of pocket for insurance and not 1 IVF completed. ***y refuse to respond timely if at all. Refuse to allow me to speak with the dr. *** billing practices are all over the place. Main communication is by email and billing has to confirm payment before moving forward, but they don't respond for weeks to months at a time. I wasted time and thousands of dollars waiting on responses. *** information provided changes in every discussion. This is the worst treatment I have ever received in my life. For a 40+ single woman of color whom is also a cancer survivor, I have never felt so frustrated and defeated in my life. During my cancer treatment I had overwhelmingly the best doctors and staff. This place will keep you in tears daily. Who wants to go through that while trying desperately to have a baby. $500 for storage for a year and when I try to find out about transfer to the new storage, I'm told the previous person and manager provided the wrong information and they are sorry, but no refund. 4 months to clarify it could have been paid for months of use, yet I couldn't use since no one would respond. So I paid $750 more for nothing. ***n $1.7k for program that I'm running around doing all the work as there is no clear coordination. ***y cancel the next appt saying it's only 1 "small" egg which was expected, with no proof of results. ***y (not dr) changed my program and want $3k more. ***y want another MFM after the dr already waived that. So far, I've paid $10k with nothing to show for it due to their poor practices.

My wife and I used RBA for IVF treatment in 2017 and 2018. We had one successful pregnancy for which we are grateful. We did have additional embryos that were put in cryo storage with a fee. We attempted implantation of each of these, unfortunately w/o success, leaving us with no embryos. About a year after this disappointment (in early 2020) we, actually my wife, received a bill from *** (via their embryo storage solution) that we had a $500 fee for embryo storage. She was very distraught at having this wound reopened. After lengthy conversations with the *** admin staff, the doctor, and even the *** at *** we finally had the bill reversed and made it clear to them that they should NEVER contact us about this again as there were no more embryos. That was the end of it. Or so we thought. Except, today, March 2023, my wife gets an email with a $750 charge for embryo storage. This is now 3 years since the issue was "resolved" and they make the same "mistake" again. We've now spent the day writing emails and having emotional calls with them where the admin argues there's a "mosaic embryo" (i.e. non-viable) and they need another consent form signed. No explanation why this is suddenly coming back up after 3 years when that issue was already closed and there ARE NO ADDITIONAL EMBRYOS.This has yet again led my wife to relive the emotions she had right after the final embryo we had also failed to implant. Supporting docs in form of emails from 2020 and 2023 can be provided although many conversations was by phone or conference call.
