  American customers please do your research and beware.The owner of this company filed for bankruptcy in 2019 in *********. He was identified as scamming small food business start **** You can find the article about *********************** and his old company trade names: "Food Convoy," "United Food Concepts B.V.," "ChefPlaza," and ********************** opened shop in ******* and is running a ponzi scheme. The proverbial "robbing ***** to pay ****" with their customers. After being scammed myself out of time (18 months and $25K) I had to hire a lawyer and file a claim. Which ruled in my favor. During this time and after thorough research, six other small business owners were identified as also being either scammed or receiving faulty/mechanically unsound vehicles or over priced items (where Karpatia doubled their original quote).As a fellow ********, I feel its my duty to be honest with other small business owners on my experience and on behalf of the other small businesses who have to remain anonymous for the time being.Karpatia has no verifiable positive reviews with any small ******** business. The ones you see on ****** are all very recent (over the past two weeks since my investigation started). Karpatia social media is telling, no photos of recent builds, no happy customer reviews of real clients with their vehicles. It's all smoke and mirrors.This review will be posted on BBB and safe there. Please be careful with this company.

  This company uses bait and switch tactics to scam small businesses out of their products and services. There are up to seven companies that we are aware of that this company has scammed. We have a full review on ****** of the issues that we faced while dealing with this company. They file for bankruptcy in ******, and set ******* in ***************** to continue their fraudulent business practices. They take deposits and monies and do not deliver the trailers that they advertise, we do not want any other companies to fall prey to this companys Ponzi scheme.

  We had been working patiently with Karpatia trucks since late June of 2022. Karpatia gave us a quotation for $32257 for a UK horse box trailer. On July 21st, we paid the deposit of $4838.55. In the first zoom meeting, we were over 100% clear with the design and of what we needed for the trailer. We were very explicit regarding the areas, such as the need for our design to have specific cabinets, drawers, racks, coolers, doors, ramps, and numerous aspects. They advised we would receive an Auto CAD rendering in one week or so. In the months that followed many staff and the owner delayed the process. On November 1st, they finally provided the Auto CAD render. We received an payment link for a 60% installment on Nov 4th but the price increases by 50%. We called the Atlanta office to ask for an itemized invoice prior to paying a 2nd installment. It was incredibly concerning that this company provided us with an online link to pay more than we were expecting to pay and could not, at that moment, show us why the price had increased. It seemed as though we could be a victim of a bait-and-switch tactic or scam. We asked the owner how they came up with the figure provided within the invoice link of $47909. The figure was arbitrary. Karpatia was expecting us to pay them almost $28,000 by November 11th without proof of where the money would go in regards to our specifications. The overall service and support was unprofessional and unresponsive over four months. The owner said his company was unprofessional to me directly in an email exchange when I was asking for the itemized invoice. He placed blame on us even after we told him we have our custom items were ready to ship to Mexico City. The company raised its price by nearly 50% and never provided a real invoice/receipt. The quotation for the trailer was $32257, and Karpatia sent us the payment link for $47909. The entire company and the business practices were unbearable.
