1 starI decided to get the vonage app for my new company because I thought it would be more convenient than carrying two phones around. The concept is great but the app was terrible. Half the time when I would get calls they wouldn't come through if the app wasn't opened. I would be at my desk and get an email notification that I had a voicemail but my phone hadn't rang. I would open the app and then it would show the missed call. I started to keep the app open in the background but if I was using a different app when someone called, it would ring but wouldn't let me answer the call. I would then access the call log to try to call them back but the missed call history would take almost 30 minutes to update so I could see who called. I finally had enough and decided to get a second cell phone. Before activating my account with ********************** I asked the sales person if I could port my number if it didn't work out. This was important because I would have thousands of dollars spent on marketing that would have this number on it. They assured me I could. What they failed to inform me about was that the number they were giving me was a landline and only a few cell providers can port landlines. After spending hours to find a provider that could port the number for me I found out that land lines typically take 7 to 10 days to port so now I won't be able to recieve any calls for up to 10days for my business. Although this may end up costing us thousands, it is money well spent to not have to deal with them againReview fromDara F

STAY AWAY! You will never get them to stop charging you even after canceling. When you call they ask for your bank statements as proof of charges! They admit I canceled the month prior but say I still need to pay this month. Then they state they can't transfer to management.Vonage Business Cloud

1 starVonage Business is the worst service I ever had and had to cancel service to switch to a landline. It's extremely difficult to call anyone in **************** and even after cancelling service, they continued to charge me. Don't waste your money or time with this company.Review fromRebecca M

Have tried to resolve problem for months. Cant get calls from multiple **** land lines. Vonage has been of no help resolving the problem. **** says they are a peerless provider & will not help. I called today to try to cancel service for my business and was told I wasnt an authorized user for a ********************** I own. Working now to try to get out of the contract without a penalty because the service is terrible. We have opened several call completion tickets with **** regarding the issue associated with their land lines. Since the issue is isolated to their local wired POTS lines, **** has informed us that said **** customer(s) affected will have to contact them and open up a call routing/completion ticket. We closed our account with ********************** several months ago, but we're still being billed almost $100 a month. We've opened cases, had back and forth communication, and the company has verified that they've closed our account. WHY ARE WE STILL BEING BILLED??? 1 starI signed up for their services back in November 2022, its July 2023 and they charge me $97 every month for a service that was NEVER ACTIVATED. I've been reaching out for MONTHS and there's no way to reach a live person, everything is automated and useless. I have been scammed by Vonage. Its been 9 months of charges for VOIP services that are not even activated at all and its impossible to cancel the services. 1 starYou know when you are so unhappy with a company that you go to leave a negative comment on their site and wish you had researched them before signing up with them to save yourself so much frustration. Well hopefully others will learn from my mistake. HORRIBLE. reporting to BBB, telling the world not to use this company solely based on their HORRIBLE customer service. Almost makes me think they are NOT EVEN A REAL COMPANY and I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED. Currently disputing all charges from the company on my credit card. Keep getting lip service that my case is sitting in que of the cancellation department. Looks like I may be heading to court- just to get rid of this company!!! Absolutely worse phone company. I would not advise anyone to use them. Horrible customer service. There are termination fees which are hidden. Please be aware. I have many small business and will not be using them ever.Vonage Business Cloud

I have attempted several times to send an email to the specified email to resolve this issue and also have called the customer service. It hasnt been helpful at all. I have charges on my credit card. They promised to fix the caller ID as it was registered to some DJ out in ******... We were supposed to run a trucking company and half the time we call it showed as a number for someone else... Even if I called my own cell phone from the business number it showed as the ***** Asked multiple times to fix it and this is not 5 months into it and still not fixed even though they've said they fixed the multiple times... Today I try to cancel and told them that they have not held their end of the bargain by providing the service they promised, she said then why didn't you complain... I said I've complained five or six times and they should have the case numbers on file for that I was on the phone for closer 2 to 3 hours each time... And when I try to close the account today they want to charge me for the rest of the year or remaining months of the contract... Honestly he was worth it canceling them and not using them even though I have to pay for the rest of the months it's worth it to get rid of them and even pay and I'm so happy that they're not going to be part of my business anymore.. The lady named **** who was the account manager who was trying to close the account was horrible, absolutely rude had no understanding and just plain careless... She kept on getting upset and blaming me and telling me that I was not being charged different prices every single month while I showed her all the invoices that prove otherwise... When she had nothing else to say then she said then you should have complained and give me the case number that I try to cancel the account before... Absolutely rude and no regard for anything... I'm glad they have finally closed my account and it's worth it to pay them to get rid of these people from your life and business...!!!Vonage Business Cloud

If your outbound Caller ID name shows up correctly on some calls but not on others, this indicates multiple Caller ID records exist for your phone number. This can happen when Vonage sends Caller ID updates to various providers, but providers have not yet updated their Caller ID database.
