    Issue - Unlawful Eviction Process

    Today I spoke with Moody Road Storage about a reasonable request to not put the Thank You sticker on my personally owned lock on my storage unit. (Its my personal property that I wish to have engraved) The adhesive overtime has made my lock sticky and I do not want stickers. The clerk Shannon argued with me as to why she would not honor my reasonable request.

    Minutes later I received a voicemail from Shannon of Moody Road storage that I have 48 hours to remove my items from the storage unit.

    The storage unit is paid for the month of September 2024. According to Georgia Law I have 14 days after receiving written notice via personal service or verified mail.

    I am seeking legal help in the event I am prohibited from accessing my belongings . Thank you.

    Thank you for your feedback regarding the tenant's recent experience with Moody Road Storage. We appreciate the opportunity to address their concerns.

    We have reviewed the request and will allow the tenant to move out by the end of the month as requested. While our month-to-month lease agreement does grant us the right to terminate the agreement, we are committed to handling each situation fairly and in line with the terms agreed upon. The tenant's unit will not be locked during their move-out process, and the tenant will have access to the property to retrieve their belongings.

    Regarding the sticker placed on your lock, I want to clarify that it is a security measure intended to protect the safety and integrity of all items stored at our facility.  We understand your concern about your personal lock and regret any inconvenience this may have caused. However, this security procedure is a standard practice at our facility.

    If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to ensure a smooth transition and to support you throughout this process.

    Thank you BBB for mediating this issue. It was solved in a timely manner and I agree to cut ties with Moody Road Storage at the end of September 2024 when my property is removed. I am satisfied with the action of the BBB investigator.
