1 starThis company was, on its surface, a wonderful place to buy furniture. However, over the first 5 months of ** own the furniture this company has really shown how little it cares about its products, its business relationships, and its customers.We bought a matching sofa and chair combo for about $3000. We have cats, so of course we got the pet protection plan for $500. About 2 months into owning the furniture, one of our cats scratched up the chair, so I called this store to get the furniture fixed. They told me to call ServeCo, the company that handles the protection plans.ServeCo informed me, incorrectly, that the protection plan would only take effect after the first year of ownership and that all damage incurred would be manufacturer warranty. After calling back and forth between ****************** and ServeCo a number of times, ServeCo eventually figured out they needed to fix the damage.We bought the furniture in November. It is now March, and I called ServeCo to figure out what the hold up was. They asked for updated pictures of the damage, which I sent, only for them to tell me that due to a "number of months of accumulated damage" that it was no longer covered in the policy and they are not liable for the repairs. I was quoted by ******** that the repairs would cost $1400. ****************** then told me to simply call back this ******** location and simply get a refund for the pet protection plan.There is one major problem though... THE WINDOW FOR PROTECTION PLAN REFUNDS IS FOUR DAYS. FOUR DAYS. The window to get a refund on the pet protection plan expired BEFORE MY FURNITURE WAS EVEN DELIVERED.Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FURINITURE HERE. Their corporate red tape will prevent you from doing ANYTHING other than pouring thousands of dollars into their pockets while they leave you metaphorically on the side of the road to fend for yourself.Review fromBarb Z

My husband and I went to Lazy Boy in ************, *********** store yesterday to buy a couple of recliners. We were the only couple in the store and no one came to help us. One salesperson was in front of a computer and didnt even look up. The other salesperson was vacuuming and went from one outlet for electricity to another and never acknowledged us. After 10 minutes we walked out. Very disappointed and will never shop there again.La-Z-Boy

Since we posted online, Corporate Headquarters contacted us and said THE "La- Z -BOY Store in ********************* was a franchise, and they would call the store and have them get back to us. Today, March, 9th, 2023 the store manager from ********************* location called and said we could buy a new cushion at our expense. Informed him the sales person who sold me the furniture said everything was covered for 5 years. I think they call that an implied contract. I told him I would be happy with on of three solutions 1. Fix the chair 2. Give me my $449.99 back since the warranty wasn't honored. 3. Give me a new chair.He said sorry that wasn't going to happen and abruptly just hung up.So let me sum up my experience:The franchised store takes no responsibility. The independent warranty company didn't even get back to ************ headquarters says it's not their problem because the store is a franchise even though they profited from selling the franchise. Remember when you buy from the "La- Z -BOY Store you're buying from all corporate independent entities that don't honor their customers. The worst part for me is I had to post this review because another corporation just didn't care.La-Z-Boy

My wife and I bought a new couch and Recliner. First it took ONE whole year to come in. Then when it did they had to change the cushions in both the couch and recliner. It looked like they had stuff them 3/4. Very sad! So it took another 3-4 months to get them fixed. Good thing the store (*******)selling the furniture was very helpful and did everything they could. No discount by Layboy for these issues and delays. On top of that my recliner came back with a big ******************* on the back of the chair so they had to take it back again. Good thing I could use my chair until the new one came in. I can say this I am very very disappointed with ****** and will never buy any furniture that ****** makes. *** for the furniture store where we purchased yes we will buy again from them since they sell other brands.La-Z-Boy

Received a sectional. One piece had to be replaced and a second had to be repaired. Quality is terrible. Seams dont match up correctly and seats are not real comfortable.La-Z-Boy

I really like La-Z-Boy however, if youre going to purchase their product have it delivered because you sure dont wanna go to the warehouse in *********** ***** I went there one time to pick up my product and they were bad attitude. I just thought they were having a bad day, but then I went back three months later to pick my other couch up and they were even more disrespectful. I had my daughter with me, and even she said that they were a bunch of mean mean people and thats saying it politely if I didnt have my daughter with me I think something wouldve happened. I will not do business with this company ever again in ***********. The people at their La-Z-Boy showroom are very very nice people.La-Z-Boy

We purchased 2 new recliners a week before Xmas. When they were delivered on 1-27-23, both were defective. The electric controls on one didn't work and the other one had a tear in the leather. We refused delivery of both. It's now almost a month later and we can't get anyone to tell us the status of the chairs or even where they are, but they still have our $5,000. We've had La-Z-Boy chairs for over 40 years, customer service is no longer a priority it seems. The ******* store was recently purchased by a new owner who also owns all the La-Z-Boy stores from ************ to ***************. I'm sure that's why customer service has vanished. The owner is too removed from the store to care. Very sadLa-Z-Boy

My wife's chair broke after a year. It took 2 weeks to get a service man out to check it. He said it needed parts which would take 3 weeks to get. We waited 3 weeks with no response, so I called La-Z-Boy. They had not placed the order and still had questions, but had not called me about their questions. They took no responsibility for the break, as I had not taken the lifetime warranty. I paid for the parts to fix the chair and got the parts delivered, but when the service man was supposed to come out (6 weeks later) there was a snow storm and he couldn't make it. Next scheduled time to come out was 1 month later. I can't recommend ever buying another chair from La-Z-Boy.La-Z-Boy

Terrible product. Terrible Service. We spent a lot of money on our furniture and even purchased additional protection. The seams are ripping out of the furniture that has been barely used. La-Z-Boy refuses to correct the issue because we are just outside the 1 year warranty and the additional protection won't cover it because it is a "manufacturing" defect. They had the audacity to ask if we wanted to schedule an appointment to pay almost $200 / hour for repairs. And the first hour was just a fee to look at the furniture and quote the overall price to repair. HA! Are they serious?La-Z-Boy

Wow ! Do I wish I had read these reviews before buying from La Z Boy in **********. I bought 2 recliners on 12/10/22. They were delivered on 12/16/22. I went from manual to motorized. I was not told I had 4 days to determine if they would work for me. My mistake for not reading the entire contract. I hated the motorized function early on, but decided I needed to give it more time. I was away from home from 12/24 to 12/30 having emergency surgery, so was unable to deal with the chairs. When I finally was able, I was told it had been too much time and nothing could be done. They couldnt be resold due to Covid. Im kind of tired of blaming bad customer service on Covid, but I guess it is an easy out. I am very disappointed in the lack of understanding and will certainly never buy from La Z Boy again. I will try to sell these chairs as they are good chairs, just not for me.La-Z-Boy
