    I placed an order on 12/2/24 with **************************. Amount paid $234.00. After trying 1 of the 2 sets ordered, I was very displeased with the quality. I sent an email to berkey water filter on 1/18/25 to express my concern. I received a response the same day (1/18) ****** Thank you for reaching out to us,if you are still not satisfied please take the filter put it in a zip lock baggie break it and send us a picture and we will issue a full refund. You can try the 2nd set to see if they work to your satification otherwise send pictures of all 4 broken filters and then we will issue you a full refund, if the 2nd set work then send a picture of the 2 broken filters and will will issue a refund for 2 of the filters.I replied on 1/19 with the requested photo of the broken filters. I followed up with an email on 1/21 & 1/23. I attempted to call and sent a chat message on 1/24. To date I have not received a response or refund as promised.

    On January 5, 2022 my unused Berkey water filter and stand were received by Berkey Water Filter as a return from my December 2021 purchase. I have not receive a refund for my purchase though I have been requesting it from Berkey and Berkey corporate for more than a year. Each reply says that my inquiry is being forwarded to another person for handling. To date I have not received a refund.

    I purchased the Royal Berkey from Berkeywaterfilter.com on May 27, 2023 (Order No. BWF-******) for $367.20. It arrived June 1, 2023. Upon opening, the Berkey box looked as if it had previously been opened, as it had a second layer of tape over a bottom layer that was missing parts of the tape. Regardless, I continued opening the package and once I pulled the Berkey out, I could clearly tell it had been used. It had watermarks on the top of the cylinder/canister and the lid - amongst other places. There were deep scratches on the inside of one of the canisters, and the bottom had scratches all over. I called the company 3 times, never reaching anyone, but leaving a message all 3 times and never receiving a return call. I sent 2 emails, which included numerous photos clearly indicating previous usage. When I finally got a return email from the company, the response I received was simple ****** mfg warranty helpline ************. Nothing more. Deflection of responsibility. I was in disbelief that a company could operate this way. This is NOT a warranty issue, this is an issue of receiving a used product. At this point, I am no longer looking for an exchange for a new Royal Berkey (since I no longer have trust in this company) I would like a full refund for the price I paid of $367.20 (and not with a 20% restocking fee deducted!!). This company does not operate like an authorized dealer, nor does it take any responsibility for the items it sells. It appears to operate more like a scam company than a respectable business. Additionally, please help other consumers become aware of this company so they do not become another victim with their hands tied. It truly is a shame that a business is allowed to continue to operate in this manner with no recourse or accountability.

    I purchased a Berkey water system from berkeyfilters.com back in July 2022. We had an issue with the filters making our water cloudy at first, and we reached out to the company then with no response. Luckily, the water did clear. Fast forward to November 2022, and although we have four filters, the water filtration rate has slowed significantly. I used to be able to put one and a half gallons in the top chamber, but now I can barely put 1 gallon. Berkey almost sent me replacement filters twice but then conveniently would switch out which rep I was speaking to once we got to the shipping information. Every time the new person would give me more things to try. After doing everything they asked, They concluded that the slowed filtration rate was normal (even though I spent extra money to get 2 extra filters, which should have cut the filtration rate in half). It mostly seems like they just didnt care, were saying anything they could to brush me off and avoid having to send me new filters. I would not recommend this company to anyone simply for the customer service.
