      Don't sign up with this company!! You will go threw many obstacles to cancel when you realize its not worth 1 penny! They are so unorganized I wish I did not need to spend weeks following up on my cancelation. Finally cancelled but yet my account still shows active? I call get transferred around to many nice representatives who try their best. Please be ware

      Don’t waste your hard earned money on this- please. I just went through ****** cancer diagnosis and 2 surgeries and they gave me minimal money. And I had to beg , plead and fight for it on top of what I was going through health wise. The amount of money they gave me wasn’t even enough to cover one car payment and electric bill payment. They took far more money from me than they gave!!! I would give a no star rating if I could. This is a total scam!!!

      As others have stated, I would leave a zero star review if I could. Regarding my short term disability claim, my surgery date was */*/2025. My return to work date was */**/25. I am officially back to work. And stillll my claim has not been approved. Since week 3 post op I have been adjusting paperwork with doctor and employer to meet their needs. Each time called ONLY ONE ITEM THAT THEY FELT WAS INCORRECT. I had to have my doctor fill the paperwork out 3 times.. now my employer has to do it again because of an informality. They even stated in their notes that they thought the second time, my doctor filled it out, it was fraudulent, because half of it was done in print, and the other was in handwriting. I am beside myself at having to correct all of these things in pay.Extra fees with my doctors just so that they can be appeased. To me it seems like they do not want to pay you and they will do whatever they can to make you give up. This is a very cruel, ignorant, incompetent, incompassionate, and disrespectful company. I have dealt with 5 other short term disability companies in my lifetime and NEVER HAVE I HAD SUCH A GRAVE EXPERIENCE.

      Filed short term disability claim on 5/19/2025 after spending a few in the hospital and off work per doctor’s orders.
      Now it’s June 9th, and claim still hasn’t been processed.
      I call everyday for a status update, just to be told it’s in the “final review” stage and should be processed soon.
      Going on a month since filing claim and submitting more than enough paperwork from the ER, hospital, doctors and my employer.
      Will cancel as soon as open enrollment rolls around.

      If I could give this 0 stars I would. I have never been so upset with a company in my entire life. Beware of this company as they will not pay you what you are owed and deserved no matter how many documents, notes, dates, and signatures anything they can magically think of will do you no good. They thrive off denying claims for no reason! They owe me over 5000 dollars and I have not seen a DIME. I gave birth to our 3rd child and we have been struggling for months as they have not paid me for almost 3 entire months. They keep stating they need more information, or a signature is missing, or a date is wrong or better yet THAT THEY ALREADY PAID ME, when they never did! Even when I had called and spoke to several several Aflac agents they all said the same thing. They have no idea why these “claim auditors” keep giving me the run around and stating things that are untrue. You can’t speak to anybody in the claims department. It’s just a brutal fight to get through to anybody who actually tries to help you. It’s sad that we pay this company every single month but when we are needing help and file a claim they deny them immediately for false reasons. I have kept every single letter of denial and request of information and every single letter is different or stating false gaslighting information. They will put on the letters threats stating they have asked you several times for information (when they NEVER did) and give you a deadline to complete it by. But still make you wait WEEKS for your claim to be “reviewed” just for them to deny it for no reason or they will change incident dates to make it look like you aren’t eligible. Even though on ALL the forms from my doctors it states a date but Aflac still tries to change it on there end because they think we are stupid.
      This company needs to be shut down and with the amount of bad reviews I have no idea how they are still allowed to be in business!

      Representative informed me that with the waiting period, they will deny reimbursement for dental work done before 6 to 9 months. Essentially, you have to wait for your teeth to worsen (and the price gets more expensive) before you can submit a claim. Mutually destructive for the consumer and even for the insurance company itself. Ripoff insurance.

      I have never submitted a review of anything before but I have also never been this angry before. I obtained coverage in October 2024 and gave birth to my child in ***** 2025 (***** *********) I applied for coverage afterwards and was informed that my time would be covered up to 6-8 weeks. For the next 6 weeks (as I did not work and was not paid) I was sent on a wild GOOSE chase with AFLAC stating I needed to upload "office notes from my initial consultation". Proceed to me recovering form after form to submit until my claim was denied for "failure to receive" the form that I submitted two weeks prior. After several calls to Aflac and my hospital to figure out what they needed, Aflac informed me they need the form sent to them directly from my physician. I initiated this process and after calling three times over the next week for updates and being told to wait, I was informed a week later (after I had gone back to work) that no one looked into my policy far enough and that I would not be paid due to my "pre-existing condition". I was assured SEVERAL times that all I needed to do was to provide the necessary paperwork. Now I'm out 6 weeks of pay when I could have been working from home and I have officially canceled my coverage. Absolute worst business that I have ever dealt with.

      Beware!!! I’ve been a single mother on maternity leave for 2 months!!! THEY HAVENT PAYED ME A PENNY! IN 2 FLIPPING MONTHS!! I’ve been told (don’t you worry just alittle more reviewing) I’ve been relying on my family to help feed my baby! Because Aflac doesn’t wanna rightfully pay me. But they didn’t have a problem taking my money every 2 weeks outta my paycheck. But when I NEED that money they make it impossible to get it! DO NOT RECOMMEND AFLAC TO ANYONE

      We called on May 1st to cancel our policy and still got the premium taken out of our account the next month. So I had to call AGAIN to get a rep on the line to see why it wasn’t cancelled as requested previously. Of course I get a non-answer as to why it wasn’t done. Now I’m stuck waiting for a check to come in the mail as a refund? They also couldn’t tell me how long it takes for the check to get here. Are they going to pay me interest on the money held for my premium? Reeks of a scam to me.
