I was billed by National EMS for an ambulance visit I had in 2021, I paid the amount that my insurance told me I had to pay in my EOB however earlier this year I received a credit collection on my account saying that I did not pay the total amount I needed to pay. I contacted the insurance company, the ambulance, as well as the credit collection however none of them provide me with definitive answers. The ambulance and my insurer both just tell me that their EOB is correct and the other is incorrect and the ambulance says that they already sent my bill to collections so I just need to pay it. The ambulance is requiring me to pay the remainder of the bill even though I had already previously paid the maximum my insurance company is telling me to pay because they say that they do not go by my insurance company's EOB. How can they both go by separate EOBs? How can they have that significant of a discrepancy? Should I be required to make up this difference even though my insurance company is telling me I shouldn't need to?
