On Feb. 11, 2023 I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Badcock. I also purchased a 3yr warranty with both of these appliances. The Maytag washer 3yr warranty was $249.99 and the Maytag dryer was $199.99, totaling $449.98. On Feb, 24, 2025 my Maytag dryer stop drying clothes. I reached out to ******* where they informed me that my 3yr extended warranty ended on Feb. 11, 2027. They told me I had to reach out to ********* I reached out to Fortegra *************) and they first put sent the ticket to Web Traffic Guru's. No one never showed up to fix my dryer and no one Fortegra bothered to reach out to me. I had to call them back and that when they sent he claim ( #*******). This is when ******** sent the ticket to Vehtechnology. I reached out to Vehtechnology on Feb. 25, 2025 about getting my dryer fixed. It took a couple of days to get things moving. First parts had to be mailed to me and then once I received the parts I had to call back and schedule a technician to come out. On March ******* a technician came out to work on my dryer once he was complete the dryer was smoking from the inside and set off all of my smoke detectors. I have tried to communicate with this company but their commincation is awful. I spoke with ****** multiple times and left messages for management to call me, I go no reply. I finally had to tell ****** I was reporting them to BBB, then she got me to Mr. ******* I spoke with Mr. ****** and he said someone would be out on March ******* to repair my dryer and still and to have parts mailed to me. No one showed up for the repair. I am a single mother who is mad and frustrated. I have to go to a laundry mat to dry my clothes when I purchased a 3yr warranty to have my dryer fixed which is not being hononed. The $449.98 for the warranty has been stolen from me. I could have purchased a new dryer with the money I paid for the 3yr warranty that is not being honored.Business Response

Throughout the process of Ms. ****** claim we sent emails and text messages to the email and cell phone number provided as a point of contact to inform her of each stage of her claim. We also notified her when the parts were due to arrive so that she could schedule an appointment that was conducive to her work schedule being that she works later hours. All of this information will be shown over the subsequent days from 02/25/2025 -03/10/2025.
Additionally, Ms. ******s was scheduled on two separate occasions where a technician performed a service call on her unit on 03/12/2025. See notes from technicians reports
Marked work order as complete. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:23 PM(EDT
Provider's closing notes:I removed the non working heat element and replaced it with a new heater element. Now the dryer is working good.Customer called next day and said that dryer was causing smoke and set off fire alarm in home. This could mean that the new heater element is faulty. Please send a new heater element, thermostat, and control panel/touchpad.
This information was sent in an email request to Fortegra and requested the parts be ordered.
2nd trip was Marked work order as complete. Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 11:39 AM(ED
Provider's closing notes:the part that was sent was only the case of the component. also, the part that was being replaced wasn't connected to anything in the dryer. it was just in the dryer and it also appeared to the wrong model because it didn't have any connections that match the dryer connections. This information was sent in an email request to Fortegra and requested the parts be ordered.
We have tried to repair this unit with several heating elements, each time the unit is filled with smoke. This unit have internal electrical wiring issues. I deem it unrepairable.
What are the next steps for the customer? This is the last conversation that we sent to ******** regarding this
customer on April 16, 2025. **************************, followed every step and
attempted to make sure that we serviced this customer to the best of our

I am rejecting this response because:
The communication is poor. I have my call logs where I called. Also the dryer does not work. The dryer could not be fixed. ******** sent me a check because of this. I had to end up purchasing a new washer and dryer.
Sincerely,

I am not sure of what Ms. ******* is rejecting. The last email that was sent to ******** was our recommendation to replace her unit due to we deemed it irreparable (meaning--- it cannot be repaired, fixed). As a third party we are only authorized to perform the actions that the Warranty Companies allow and nothing further. We make recommendations all the time but it is always the Warranty companies discretion in how they proceed with each individual claimant.Initial Complaint

Vehtech is the repair company that was sent out by my warranty company to repair my dryer. The technician that came out repaired the part that was the issue but then broke another part rendering my dryer inoperable. The company could not find a piece to replace due to ******* not making the dryer anymore so they replaced the unit. The repair company Vehtech was responsible for the damages because their tech broke the dryer not my warranty company.Business Response

The customer ************************* had a service call performed by Vehtechnology back on 06/27/2024. Two parts were ordered to repair his unit a control board and thermostat. The customer called and advised that he had received both parts. However, after the tech arrived on site he realized that the customer only had the thermostat. The customer wanted the part installed in hopes that it may repair the unit. During the repair the technician noticed that old control board had a broken connector which was the reason the unit was malfunctioning. Vehtechnology had ordered this part and it was to be sent to the customers home along with the thermostat to complete the repair, but it was not in the shipment that the customer received. After a failed repair the technician advised that new control board is still needed to resolve the issue. Vehtechnology called the **************** to advise when the parts would arrive they advised that it was on backorder until December 2024 (see email to **************** below) We attempted to outsource the part that the customer would be no longer inconvenienced but it was unavailable due to the model of the unit no longer in stock.
We then reached out to the **************** to seek further assistance. The **************** advised that they would give the customer a buy out of $700.00 to replace his unit. We advised ************** of that decision and we did not hear from him again until July 2024. He sent us an email demanding that we pay him $181.00 to cover the taxes and delivery that he was charged in the purchase of his new unit stating that it was our fault that he had to get a new unit. We advised him that the part actually belongs to the unit company and if any damages were due to be paid that it would be owed to the ****************. We actually reached out to the **************** and they advised that we were not liable for the parts nor his taxes for the purchase of his new unit. The taxes are state or county fees due and delivery charges are responsible of the purchaser.

I am rejecting this response because:
The response from the company is not true. My dryer only had one issue. Error code HC. There was only one part mailed to me from the warranty company as there was only one part needed. The warranty company asked several questions to come to the conclusion of what part was needed and that is what was sent. My dryer would run for 15 min and shut off with error code HC. I never asked the tech to try to fix the dryer with the one part absent the second part. I would never say this as there was only one part sent and no other issues that required additional parts so why would I asked to disregard a part that I had no knowledge of because there was only one part ever discussed from the beginning. The technician had replaced the part and was putting the dryer back together when HE ADMITTED I was trying to put the dryer back together and I broke this little piece right here, but Ill be back out Monday to fix it. Which I learned later was a lie. I called the company Vehtech on Monday July 1st and they advised me that the technician should have never told me he would be back out on Monday because they had to try to source the part that he broke. During the entire encounter the company Vehtech took responsibility for their tech breaking the part up until I requested compensation for the damages then they tried to say that it was an issue that I had to take to my warranty company. This company has tried to cover their technician negligence by lying and shifting blame. I can get proof from the warranty company that only one part was sent because there was only one issue to begin with. The dryer was operable when the tech arrived it would just cut off mid cycle due to the heat sensor. The technician ran the dryer while he was their prior to starting the repair. If the issue that he caused (damaging the panel) was present all alone the dryer would not have worked the day he arrived. This company has several complaints on ****** and I see why. They are very dishonest and careless and I am not accepting this response as they know it is not true and they are trying to cover their negligence.
Sincerely,

Vehtechnology called the **************** to infer if we in fact should pay the compensation requested to the customer and they advised "No". Once again all parts are under Warranty and belong to the ****************. If any compensation was due it would be to the **************** being that all parts are covered and belong to them. We inquired if we needed to pay for the parts and they advised NO and that they would reach out to the customer and deal with him according to his contracted agreement with The ****************. ************** is saying very egregious and slanderous statements against our company which is liable for a lawsuit. We have done all that we were contracted to do via the **************** and that is our last statement regarding this matter.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I will continue to reject the response as this company continues to try and hide the fact that their technician damaged my dryer!! I will continue to speak facts about the situation every opportunity that I get because this company is negligent and unprofessional. My warranty on my dryer is of no consideration to their company. They cannot use my warranty company as a scapegoat to cover damages as a result of their technician Im not sure why this company continues to try to spin the facts of this situation that hide their negligence. I will continue to pursue any and all necessary actions to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions both in poor workmanship as well as honesty and integrity as a company.
Sincerely,

Vehtechnology received this call on 12/19/2022, we spoke to the customer and determined that the dryer is not heating up or drying the clothes. Based on experience and years of servicing appliances we concluded the necessary parts for the unit and pre-ordered them see here:12/20/2022 PARTS ORDER Confirmation 1640373 , Authorization Req. Submitted (External) REQUESTED HEATING ELEMENT AND THERMAL FUSE. . This is standard practice among Service Appliance companies and is highly recommended by the Warranty Companies to resolve the issue of delayed shipping and handling. The parts have been ordered, however we are experiencing a back log of parts availability from our preferred vendors. We have spoken to our vendors and they are making every effort to ship the parts out as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience are in contact with our vendors daily for updates.Initial Complaint

Placed online repair request for my washer on Dec 17, 2022. Receives email confirming the request. Received email on Dec 19, ******************************************* which is not true. I contacted the company who asked me information about the washer, which was already provided in the initial request. I said I got an email that set up a service appt for Dec 22, 2022. The person I spoke to said that was a bunch of c*** and "they" don't know what their doing. He said he ordered the parts and to call then back at x **** when I received them. Received followup email saying parts were ordered. Never received parts. Dec 28, 2022, called and left voicemail also emailed requesting status- no response. Check status via link provided on Dec 28, 2022 and it said my order didn't exist. Called on Dec 28, 2022 and finally got customer service who apologized repeatedly and said my experience is unacceptable. Tried to put me thru to parts department and I refused and told her that they won't answer the phone. She contacted them and told them to answer the phone and transferred me. Spoke to female there and told her about the first guy I spoke to, who told me he ordered the parts. She said, no ma'am, he doesn't order the parts, he is supposed to send the request to the parts department to be ordered. Apologized left and right and said she'd take care of it and that I would receive a text when the parts were ordered. No text received. Email received the same evening saying parts were ordered and I should have in 1 week. Still have not received the parts. Called again Dec 30, 2022 and got no answer from parts department, customer service or branch manager. They will not return emails or phone calls and now they aren't answering the phone at all.Business Response
