I have lived at my current residence for 11 months . Recently a new neighbor has arrived to the left of me, we live in a townhome community. My neighbor has had her trash can removed four times and says she is unsure why the company does this. I have never experienced this in my 11 months until today. I came out at 8:50am and noticed my trash can was gone but my neighbors trash cans were still there. I naturally assumed mine was taken thinking that it belonged to the neighbor who has had this happen on going issue. Today 10/30 at 8:55am i called the company and spoke with a woman who refused to give her name and told me to search the community for the trash can and if i couldnt find it to contact them in a week. I attempted to explain that i have a full house and cannot go a week without a monthly service i pay for! She said thats her only solution, over talked me, and then hung up. I immediately called back at 9:01am and asked her why she wouldnt let me speak and asked for a manager , she hung up again! I have no trash can that i am forced to pay for by the county and now i cannot get anyone to answer the phone!Initial Complaint

I stopped using this company in November 2023 because they are insufficient with picking up trash on trash day. I decided to try them again and its been all week of were sending a driver and three different occasions in one week they havent dumped my can. The office has horrible customer service. They dont offer any solution and they can either take my trash or just take the can back. She stated its too heavy but I am able to roll to the street, theres no reason why they cant dump it other than laziness and incompetence.Initial Complaint

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the appalling conduct exhibited by your company, Burgess and Sons LLC, in recent interactions. I had cancelled my service with your company last week due to an extremely unprofessional and distressing experience with your customer service representative. During a discussion over a billing issue, the representative persistently yelled over me and showed a complete unwillingness to address my concerns, compelling me to terminate the service.However, the situation has unfortunately escalated further. Today, May 21, 2024, I discovered that representatives from your company trespassed on my private property. They proceeded to remove my trashcan without consent and, disturbingly, stole my daughters shoes from behind my house. Such behavior is not only illegal but also deeply unsettling and violates my family's sense of security and trust.Following this incident, I contacted your customer service once again to seek clarification and resolution. To my utter dismay, I was rudely hung up on, and the representative threatened me, stating that she knows my address. This threat is both intimidating and unacceptable, exacerbating my concerns regarding the professionalism and integrity of your company.I demand an immediate and thorough investigation into these incidents. I expect a written apology and a full explanation of the actions taken by your staff. Additionally, I require assurances that such egregious behavior will not be repeated, and I insist on the immediate return of the stolen property.Failure to address these issues promptly and satisfactorily will compel me to escalate this matter to the appropriate authorities and consider legal action to safeguard my family's rights and security.I anticipate your prompt and serious attention to this grave matter. On 2/23/2024 this company did not pick up my trash and lied and said that they did not pick it up because it was too heavy when my landlord's daughter and boyfriend witness them not even trying to pick it up and they just left it saying that the trash stunk and they left the trash not dumping it. I called and complained, and they told me that they will pick it up next Friday and then hung up on me! I paid for a service and they did not provide the service!The next bill is due on the 25th.They need to do theur job and not lie!Initial Complaint

Burgess and Sons is training there waste management guys to pull trash bags out of the trash bins and leave them on the ground if the tops are not fully closed. I contacted customer service and this is what I was told. The lady stated that the trash is considered extra trash. I have been using this company for over 4 years and have never been told this. My tip has been partially opened before and never had this problem. Please choose another company for trash pickup if you can. They are just trying to find more ways to get extra money out of people. At least they could have taken the trash and left a note stating that we will be charged extra but instead they left 3 bags of trash scattered in my yard. This is bad business!Initial Complaint

I am renting a property from AH4R and they use Burgess and Sons for trash pick up. After being in the property for 2 months they continue to miss the trash pick up for this address. I now have maggets all over the trash can. I was able to get in contact once to confirm this was an active address and they said yes. The other residents get their trash picked weekly and I saw the truck pass by and not pick up my trash. I have reached out to the property manager and to the business directly and no one can get a response from Burgess and Son on the missed pick **** I do not wish to continue service and stop charging me. If anyone can get in contact please tell them to pick up the trash, the trash can and discontinue service that they are not even providing.
