Placed an order March 21, 2023 and I still have not received the product. I called and emailed about the order multiple times over the course of 6 months. Every time I would get the same answer “it will be shipped soon”. Recently I was told that I can pick another pattern or keep waiting. I finally asked to cancel my order and I was told a refund would be issued. It’s been over a month and I’ve not had the refund. Or any communication. This company is a scam. I had ordered stair treads from Deans Stair Treads on April 28th, 2023, in the amount of 729.00. At the time of the order I was told to make payable to ***** **** **** ******** as Deans was going through a system change. I was told my order would take approx 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I followed on July of 2023 on status of order. Was told this was a special order and will ship soon. Followed again in on September 6th 2023 of status and requested a refund if unable to ship. Ordered (Order #*****) and paid for Two Dean Urban Legend Brown Washable non-Slip Carpet 2 ft by 3 ft landing rugs ($110) and Dean Non-Slip Tape Free Pet Friendly DIY Carpet Stair Treats 27" x 9" (set of 15) ($269.99) for a total of $325.27. on 11/21/2022, i placed an order for a set of stair treads. After several months of no shipping, i followed up, was told that the order was being worked on, but still nothing. I followed up again on 2/6/2023, and was told that the original carpet was on backorder. I was given the choice to select another color, which i did, and was told it was available. I followed up again on 3/13/2023 and was told it was being worked on and would ship soon. More than two months later, on 05/24/2023, i emailed again since it had not shipped, and was told that the new color I selected was also on backorder. I then requested to cancel and get a refund, which they agreed to, but the refund was never received, and I haven't heard anything from them, despite trying to contact them from several email addresses, contact forms, etc.Initial Complaint

In January 2023 I ordered and received some treads, I was billed USD $379.99 on my credit card. I was not happy with them so I returned to Dean Stair Treads and asked for some samples to place a new order. It took until April to receive the samples, I immediately made my selection and contacted the company again to ask them to fill my new order and also pay the difference that I owed because the cost was different and I added a mat to the order. I was billed USD $105.00 on May 6th by the same company.

after reading some of the other complaints, mine are identical. Slow or absolutely no

Also the customer service number listed *********** results in voice message / instructions
to leave number for call back. I have given up on that as I have never received a call back at any time.
Earlier this week I contacted my credit card provider to request a chargeback due to non-delivery of goods. My thought was to seek a similar product locally here in Ottawa. I was advised that this can be done only within about 3 months of the charge.
Dean Stair Treads has been advised all of this in a rather large email trail.
What I would really like is to receive my order. If they cannot send me my order, then I want a refund.
If you need any receipts, copies of emails, please let me know. I will gladly send them to you.

I paid this company $230 for 2 sets of 3 brown stair treads on 2-6-2023. I heard nothing from the company so I called them on 5-9-23 and spoke to a male person. He told me that product was back ordered and that he had no idea when it would arrive. I was told I could choose another product that was in stock. So I did on 5-10-23 and was told they would start making my product. Again I heard nothing and this time no one would answer the phone or the emails I sent. Finally I was able to reach someone by phone in early mid September that told me the company was sold in early 2023 and that the new owner would contact me. That has never happened and no one again will answer the phone or respond to emails.Customer Answer

Order #*****. I placed an order for stair treads on May 17, my credit card was billed on May 19. After waiting almost 2 mos. for the treads I was told that the carpet was on back order. I have purchased from this company without issue at least 4 times in the past, so I was not worried. I called numerous times and emailed as well. There is no phone response, my last communication was August 20 after they said they would send a replacement. They have not shipped my order, or replacement and offer no update or refund. I have loved their products in the past, but after 4 months, I have no confidence they will ever ship. I am seeking a refund. We ordered June 30 stair treads on order number ****. We paid over $700.00 via ********** at that time. We had ordered from this company several years ago and had great customer service and delivery of a great product which is still in use today. Friends had recommended them and had an equally great experience then. We can no longer reach them via telephone or their chat on their website and email goes unanswered. We have asked for either a delivery date or a refund. No action on either at this time. I have seen all the other complaints here which are very similar to our experience. We ordered a carpet runner on January 14, 2023, and they charged *** *** $755
Since then, we have repeatedly checked on the status, and were told they were waiting on backordered material. In mid August, I told them I have sourced from another vendor, and wanted a refund. I spoke with someone yesterday who said she would "email management about this matter.
It seems this a common ploy with this company. I have notified ****** and my bank.
