On 7/22 I brought my car to United Auto Care regarding an issue with an engine light and the shop quoted a watergate and camshaft totaling $1,800. 3 days after receiving my car back my engine light came back on and my car completely lost power. I towed the car to the shop 7/28 and was quoted that the electronic ignition switch needed replacement after 2 weeks of diagnosis. I was repeatedly mislead on repair time until the owner eventually admitted that he did not have a tech to complete the work. Upon repair my engine light persisted, my car started with a prolonged crank, my steering wheel controls were inoperable, my cruise control was inoperable, the horn was inoperable, my steering wheel was locked in a tilted position and I was told that they broke a part that was not included in my repair and needed 6 weeks for the part to arrive. The shop confirmed that they repaired the steering wheel issues on 9/27, but when I received the car none of the above fixes were reflected with the exception of the steering wheel controls (volume) were working. My engine light is still on and the shop quoted me $3500 repair after the misdiagnosed $3400 I already paid.

FIRST time of events: March 13th to March 15th 2024. I followed my son to United Auto Care to drop off his 2003 **** F-150 ***************** that had ******* original miles on it. We got a quote from United Auto Care. They told my son that they would fix all of the issues happening with his truck for a total of $3,200.00 to $3,400.00. My son told me what they said and I was hesitant to transfer my son the majority of the money to pay for said repairs. We discussed this decision thoroughly and thought if the truck could run smoothly for another year that it would be worth doing it. Otherwise we would have started looking at a newer truck to purchase. They called ****** to tell him his truck was ready to pick up at 4:35 pm on Friday, 4/15/24. I drove him to get it and picked it up while this place was closing up. His truck seemed to be ok for the first couple of days but still not starting right up. ****** was being way too kind and didnt want to say anything to United Auto Care. I didnt know how badly his truck started getting until my son came home after leaving one morning from work on 4/11/24. He said he couldnt make it safely to work and had to turn around. My mom was put into ******* and I had to go to **. I didnt get back to ** until April 10th. My son told me that United Auto Care wanted another $2,700 - $2,800.00 to fix the truck! I said NO!!! I still cant believe they did this. I dont think anything was done to this 2003 F-150 Lariat. I want my money back. This is a scam in my opinion. This truck was bought brand new by my dad in 03. I bought this truck for my son in 2015. It was taken care of and all records kept. Even had a new transmission put in it by **** right after buying it from my dad. Please help us to get this resolved. Thank you for listening to me.
