Take 5 oil change messed my truck up my oil pan is messed up it leaks the plug is messed up my rear seal never had this problem till I went to them they used a impact on it the oil was black that was dripping out of it was all under my truck. It burn 2 quarts of oil going home now I want a resolution of the damage they did to my **** Truck. I have enclosed paper and the oil that came out my truck tell me this is new oil I have done a lot of oil changes and never seen bo looking like this.Initial Complaint

On 5/17/24 I went to TAKE 5 for a simply oil change upon leaving I went to wash my truck as usual when I was drying it off I heard a ticking noise so I went back to them and they said by some odd coincidence that just happen to have happen right after the oil change ?? say what now so the employees reach out to the manager but before reaching out they said they would drain it and rechange the oil (whatever that means) but then says she says they can't do that so I'm stuck with dealing with the issues myself this Take 5 is located in ********* HWY 29 bad business and service but im reaching out to see what can be done cause my TRUCK been just fine til I visit this place never again and they need better management saying they did everything right no that's a lie cause u caused a issue with my TRUCK...SOMETHING must be DONE $106.00 for a oil change knock it off you ain't even the dealershipInitial Complaint

Take ******** Change ************** I called last Saturday 5/11 to verify the the price on a full synthetic change for my 22 ******* Santa Fe. i was told ***** up to 5 quarts plus 8.99 per additional quote, and was directed to their website for a $20 off coupon. Cool! I went there early on 5/12 (Mother's Day), and before they started my change I re-confirmed (mind you I am sitting in their service bay, hood up, sitting in my car) the price and I again was told ***** up to 5 quarts plus 8.99 per additional quart. My ******* calls for 6.6 quarts, so that would have been ***** plus 8.99x2 for the two additional quarts, should have totaled ****** plus tax and BEFORE my ***** off coupon making it ***** plus tax after the coupon They finish my oil change, and hand me a credit card machine to pay ******. I asked why, and was told, "Oh, your car takes a special oil, it costs more" to which I replied, "you never told me about any additional charges other that the *****+8.99 per extra quart we agreed upon." He told me that there was nothing he could do, the oil is in the car and to take it up with the phone number number on the back of the receipt *************. We were late for Mother's Day breakfast, and I was not in the mood to get in a confrontation so I paid the amount and left.When I got home I looked closer at my receipt and the total with tax for the change was ****** before my ***** off coupon. Way more than the ****** it should have been. This was a complete deception and a bait and switch. At no point in time was I ever told that my oil would be more because of my engine. I get that they had to use ***** 1 0W30, I saw him fill up the bucket with it so I know it went in my SUV, but I was not told it would cost more or I would have refused it. 7 quarts of this is only 47 bucks at my local walmart.If anyone from Take 5 reads these, leave me your contact information and I will contact you immediately to resolve this matter.Initial Complaint

I have a major issues with my car **** x4) after my service at (TAKE 5 Oil Change) on Oct 24, 2023.I went in for an oil change and AC filter. They recommend a free washer fluid and coolant oil, I accepted it. After everything was done the manager will told us that the coolant leaking and he wrap it with duck tape, he also shown me the plug I need to get and that h*** fix it for free. Throughout the conversation he didnt once told me he broke it and the car cant be drive with that major issue. When I got home my car started to smell as if something is burning, I ignored it because I just got it serviced. On my way going to work going to work my car was going under speed limit I call and let them know they told me to take it in the after noon. While heading to the store the afternoon my car notified me the coolant was low and the vehicle overheated. Minutes after the car stopped. When I open the wood the tape was melt and the coolant had leaked out. However a mechanic stop to help me fix the issue and he told me that the coolant plug is broken and thats what led the car to overheat and stop. Before going to take 5 I never had a problem with my car. Nevertheless I went to take 5 the next day due to the fact they were closed the Wednesday by time I had got help, I ask to see the manager (Will) and the video footage of the day my car was being serviced . **** refuse to acknowledge us but a worker showed us the footage of the incident which shown the everything in place until **** ands other worker try to remove the filter and thats when the pressure of them pulling the filter broke the coolant plug. They refused to fix my car saying they didnt break it and that I came in with the plug broken apart. In the video I got from their office you can see my plug intact until they tried removing the Ac filter. How you put coolant in my car if you saw that the plug was brokenInitial Complaint

I took my car in for an oil change at Take 5 at ************************************************************************ on 3/1/23. A couple days later my oil light comes on and I also discover oil leaks where I park my car. To make a long story short, when I took my car back in on 4/18/23, thats when it was discovered that my oil cap needed to be replaced. The previous mechanic did not carefully inspect my oil cap to know that it needed to be replaced which could have been catastrophic. I would like a refund for my initial oil change and oil that I had to continuously purchase to put in my car. Mechanics need to be retained on how to spot a defective oil cap or they are going to be paying for a lot of customers car repairs.Initial Complaint

I went there for an oil change 30 days later my car starting running hot and the oil light continued to pop on and off. I went back up there for them to say they topped it off this occurred twice and the second time they said there was a crack in my oil gasket and causing it to leak but there is no oil spill. I have a new engine with not even ****** miles I never had this problem before I went there and they continue to ignore the issue at hand this is not ok and very expensive Ive had to buy oil to keep from breaking down with my children and on my way to work and all they can say is we topped you off. Horrible I will never go back there again a 50$ oil change ending up costing me hundreds.Initial Complaint

I went in for a oil change on 01/05/2023 to get regular oil change the next morning I look in my drive way all my oil is gone out my car i immediately drive to the place I got it done at ************************************************************* one of the workers come up to me and say we forgot put oil pin back in and gasket will ********************** for free the next day taking my neice to school the car started tattooing and it shut off I went back there got it towed they tried to blame problem on me now Im out my pocket ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* front of police which is all on there cameras.Business Response

This email is in regards to a letter we received in the mail ID #********. I wanted to let you know that we looked into this incident. The work was done correctly at our shop. We had our best 2 managers working on **************************** car. I spoke with our shop manager at that location, he mentioned to me that ************************ was very IRATE and THREATENING THE EMPLOYEES at the shop, all while other customers are at the shop getting serviced. ************************ was acting in a very ALARMING manner that the POLICE had to be INVOLVED. The shop manager called the police to the shop for the safety of our employees and the safety of the other customers at the shop.

They change my oil with a bad oil pan. All the oil leaked out and my motor locked.
