    I booked a rental on 8/9/24 for 8/23-8/26/2024 to be picked up@9:00 am to travel out-of-state to a family member funeral service. I received a called on 8/23/24@8:30am from the manager ******* stating that they did not have any cars of the lot and they were waiting for cars from the airport location. She further stated she would call me when the had a vehicle, I asked if there was an estimated time frame and the answer was no but she would call a soon as one came available. I received a called around 10:30am stating that a car was available---the process took about ***** minutes a did not physically get the keys until 11:00--2 hours later. The caused my other family members who were suppose to ride with me to the services to travel with others in a crapped car with others because they wanted to ensure they were on time for the services which was 3 hour drive, because of the delay I was stuck in traffic and did not make the services. I was devastated that I missed the services, I spoke with *********************** and ********************* in reference to my concern about the delay and the only solution was to call customer service; I spoke with with customer service and they offered a half day refund-absurd a real slap in the face. I was also told because this was a private location that they would file a complaint and get back with within 5-7 business days. I have not heard from anyone on behalf of Budget rental or customer car...I am seeking a full refund for my inconvenience to me and my family.

    Good afternoon, 
    I am sorry to hear of the delay in Ms. ******** receiving a vehicle during the time of pick up on August 23rd. We strive to have a comparable vehicle for each customer when they arrive. It is difficult to ensure that every customer will receive the exact vehicle that is reserved based on customer's returns, vehicles being returned needing preventative maintenance, those returned with damage and others that simply aren't returned at the scheduled time.  The reservation was set for 10:30 am. 
    Again, we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused during Ms. ******** rental transaction. Her concerns will be addressed with our local team in order to better our level of service to our customers.
