I reserved a full size car online to be picked up on November 7, 2024 from the Budget in ******** Ga. I arrived at 12pm anticipating a wait time. Once I began checking in ***** informed me that I needed another document. I confirmed that it was ****** that called me and I asked why didn't she inform me of the needed additional document? ****** the manager, looked me in my face and said I had only asked about the insurance document. I went on to state that you're the one who works here, once the question was asked the customer service part should have kicked in and you could have explained the policy in full. This was a failure to be the subject matter expert, ****** was the location manager. I attempted to return the vehicle at 1pm on November 10, 2024. ***** told me to go vacuum the car or get charged $450. I finally found a location, vacuumed the car. When I returned to the location 8 minutes after 2pm the gate was locked. Oh yes! did I fail to mention, on the 7th it took me from 12pm till 2:21pm to finally check the car out. I returned the car at 8am on November 11, 2024. I told ***** that when I came back the gate was locked, she went on to inform me I would be charged an additional day. I did not understand, because technically I didn't receive the car until 2:21pm. But could not return because Budget closed. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The experience could have been prevented by a little due diligence on Rayanns and ******* part. What I received from both of them was non-informative, indifference, no apologies, poor customer service bedside manner, non helpful, and poor attitudes. Finally, when ***** knew I went to vacuum the car she could have called me at 1:30pm or told me before I left , just as a courtesy to let me know they were closing at 2pm. I feel this act was done maliciously to accrue additional cost that I think was unfairly assessed. I would like a refund for the additional day.
