    Dupree plumbing (*****) came to our home on 8/8/23 to address a leak in the basement ceiling. They determined the kitchen sink was clogged and thus leaking. They stated that our kitchen sink was not up to code, and we needed all new plumbing as well as a pump. In addition, they destroyed a significant portion of our basement ceiling dry wall chasing down other problems that didn't exist nor were they asked to investigate. They stated that we needed to replace this piping as well. They also looked down the basement toilet and said the pipe was clogged under the foundation and we needed to tear up the flooring and replace the piping. Once again we had no problems with this either. They quoted us $34,000 for all the repairs which didn't even address the significant damage they had caused. We wisely obtained 5 additional quotes and found out that the ceiling pipe and pipe under the foundation were fine and did not need to be replaced. In addition, they all said that a pump was not needed and would lead to more problems. We had the kitchen piping replumbed (which was up to code but clogged) for $1500. This company was either incompetent or trying to rip us off. The manager came to our house and basically said nothing they could do even though he agreed that the damage ***** did was not entirely his fault and not warranted. This company should not be allowed to continue services to customers in the Atlanta area.
