I purchased a Raze AmeriGlide Raze unit and within a year it stopped functioning. I called multiple times and finally a tech came out, dismantled it and it again stopped working within hours, I called APRX 17 times to get another tech to come out to no avail. They then recommended another company to come out and fix it and I had to purchase a 3 year service contract with them to get them to fix it. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone! They were great at taking money and installing it but they only have 1 tech from ************ and the unit was in ***********. They didnt offer any kind of compensation whatsoever. I would give them 0 stars if that was an option.

Initially I thought this company was great, but recently it all changed. I purchased a stairlift for my mother a couple of years ago. I have had 3 service calls from Ameriglide since purchasing the stairlift. I did not have to pay a service call fee for the first visit. For the second visit, I was told the service fee would be $150. I was never told the service fee would be any more than $150. The third visit this month 1/2024, I was told after the service tech arrived and checked the stairlift, he told me the service charge is $150 for the first hour and $80 for each additional hour. This is absolutely ridiculous. He misdiagnosed the initial problem, as being the motor, but the actual problem was the motherboard, and of course the time was extended to over an hour. I was only charged an additional $50 for the time over the hour. When I complained to the owner, she told me due to the warranty, the manufacturer was called. Of course calling a third party will extend the total time needed for the repair. The owner waived the additional $50 as long as I know in the future if a repair is needed, the service charge is $150 for the first hour and $80 for each additional hour; this does not include parts if the part is not under warranty. Since I was not told about the fees prior to the service technician's arrival, I believe the service charge for time over the first hour is something new the company is doing to make more money for repair services. I would not recommend this company due to the excessive fees.
