In April 2023 I received a bill from the Aiyan Diabetes Center/Center for ******** Care covering over a dozen service dates (for my wife) back to January of 2021. The bill seemed higher than expected (about 1,500 dollars) and I called my insurance company ******/*******. They said the problem seemed to be incorrect codes for some of the procedures. Aiyan Diabetes said that many other patients were experiencing similar problems, and the errors would be corrected. In May 2023 I received a ******/******* statement indicating that I owed the Aiyan Diabetes/******** about 470 dollars for what ****** didn't cover. A day or two later I received a bill from Aiyan Diabetes/******** saying I owed about 2,000 dollars. I called ******/******* and they said (as they said before in April 2023) that the problem was with codes, and they could correct the current medical referral (and bill) to reflect the correct codes. ****** even tried - to no avail - to contact the Aiyan Clinic to work this out with them on the phone. I physically drove to the Aiyan Clinic and the billing tech had left for the day, but a clerk gave me the phone number to the outsourced billing agency used by Aiyan and said the tech would return in the morning. I will go there tomorrow to again give them the phone number to ******/******* and encourage them to work this out. Suffice it to say, Aiyan billing did not fix the codes as they claimed that they would, and indeed the May bill was higher than the April bill. Bottom line I should not and will not pay a bill that Aiyan will not bother to fix despite ******/******* being more than willing to offer their expertise to the Aiyan staff to help resolve the issue.
