The transaction with DealBadger occurred on January 23, 2024. I was charged $39.15 for four items. I was given four days that I could pick up the items; if I did not pick up the items within the four days the company would charge me a 17% restocking fee in addition to keeping the $39.15. I contacted the company to inform them that I would like a refund as their pickup service has made it impossible to receive the items. It takes well over two hours for this company to assist 20 people every day. I shared with them that I did not have the days to continue waiting in their lines and never get my items. When I called customer service they shared that customer service doesn't help people or give refunds only answer questions. The only way to get a refund is to keep going back and waiting in line until I finally get some service to get the items then give them the items right back. Once I get charged the 17% restocking fee I will have had $45.80 stolen from me. This is a complete scam. They make it beyond inconvenient to get your items clearly hoping you never make it in their time frame so that they can not only charge you for items you never receive but to also charge you an additional restocking fee on items that you never had an actual opportunity to receive.

Deal Badger listed a message chair on there auction website. In the listing theres a product description. In the products description it stated the only thing wrong with the chair was that it would not power on. Deal Badger had two other chairs also listed about the same time. In both other chairs that were listed there product description stated they were both missing pieces. I won the chair that wouldnt power on for the amount of $50. When I went to pick the chair up and they brought my chair out, the floor manager stated it was all there. Upon getting it home I discovered it was in fact Not all there, it was missing both sides and the remote control that you have to have in order to use it. I traveled back to deal badger the following day and was told they listed the chair wrong and to contact there office for a refund. The first email I sent asking for a refund was answered with an answer that had absolutely nothing to do with my refund. The second email I sent was answered in the same fashion. The third email I sent was never answered. Now on the fourth email I sent, I got a response that said they basically were not giving me a refund and I had made the mistake! Im not the one who falsely advertised an item then refused a refund. Ive spent quite a bit of money with deal badger over a six month period and this isnt the first time theyve done this and its basically every time now. Im afraid of left unchecked and to operate in this fashion of what would they would do to consumers next.

Date:9-7-24. Items provided in picture and on box was not the model I received. The pictures they provided was a newer model. I received an older model. I included pictures of what I actually received. I paid $260.59. I believe that is false advertising. Thank you for your prompt attention.

      Dear Miss ****,
We are sorry that your item was not the model depicted in the Lot.  This is a misidentified item under out terms and conditions and would be eligible for a 100% refund, before removing the item from the ************** As we explained in our communications with you, our terms require that any request for refunds must be done before removing the item form the Pick-up Center. Once an item is removed from the *** we do not offer any refunds. These are returned items, we do our best to correctly identify and describe items but inevitably we make mistakes. We ask every customer to inspect their items before leaving the *** to confirm they are satisfied with their purchase. Again, we are sorry that you were not satisfied with your purchase.

      Best Regards,

A product was sold that stated it was an open box when it should have showed damaged box. It was either that or 1 out 3 boxes was missing. It was a vanity was missing all the walls. I tried to return it and they stated since my account was over 90 days old, they would not give a refund. I have purchased other items from that do not work and I have accepted my lost but this one was mislabeled.

This place is horrible not only did they discriminate against my service animal by telling me I had to be outside of the building with him, they also are very inaccurate on their listings and on the slight chance that they do list that there's an issue with something it's usually on the second page in the very bottom small riding corner. The latest thing that has happened is I actually won a pallet of stone for $66.59 that instead of the auction ending the time rolled over and added on another 6 days! When I contacted them they told me they could not list the auction early that I would have to bid on it again. When it rolled over instead of starting at 50 cents like all of their auctions do it started at my winning bid of $66.59. They absolutely end auctions for incorrect listings all the time they should in that auction and allow me to have the product that I want at the price I won but instead I feel like they're just trying to push it for more money. The owner who I thought when I first met him was nice and cared actually is all about money! As a matter of fact one time when we were talking he said "it's just money." Well not everyone has "just money" money!

      Dear **********************,

We are sorry that you had a bad experience at DealBadger. We do our best to describe the items and their condition. These are returned goods. We are not able to find every issue. We offer a return with restocking fee if you do not want your items. Regarding the auction, we do not have a record of what you describe and our software is not designed that way. We do cancel and reauction items when needed, at our discretion, as our terms and conditions explain. No documentation was provided regarding the animals training. We do not allow pets in the Pick Up Center.

We are sorry that you were not happy with your item however our terms are clear that no refunds are given after you leave the PIck Up Center.

We are always working to improve and we will use this feedback in our training.

      Best regards,

I am rejecting this response because:

First of all you never asked for anything to know if i have it or not,  but as i tried to SHOW you and explain to you by LAW i do not have to have anything!!! The way he acts should tell you everything. There were 3 of you standing there around me and he stood right by my side without doing anything. Before that he was laying on the ground beside me almost the whole time i was in there unless i moved then he would get up to move too. That is because he is in time with my movements and actions. What you did was FLAT OUT DISCRIMINATION and when i tried to explain that to you & the possible consequences and fines,  you basically were like oh well I'll pay the fine then. ************************************************************************************************************************************************'s%20disability
There is the link so YOU and YOUR EMPLOYEES can review it. Because if you are going to run a public business you should know what you can and can't do. You CAN NOT look at a dog or person and decide oh no that's not a service animal just because you don't like the looks of them or an employee don't. That is DISCRIMINATION! There are 2 questions you can ask and that's it! Now if my dog is out of control or using the restroom inside then you can make him leave but as long as I have control of him, just because your employees or you didn't like how he looked or even another customer... you can not make us leave!

And as far as the pallet of tile... you did not end the auction early and relist it! IMMEDIATELY when the auction was ending and closing, when it should have went in to my "won" items bucket it did not. It IMMEDIATELY rolled over and added 6 days AND the new starting bid was what my winning bid should have been!!! I sent you an email 3 minutes after the auction ended showing you what it did and the new listing so you KNOW YOU WERE WRONG!! But instead of doing the right thing and ending the auction and letting me have it like you should have you left the listing and let it go for more money because you are GREEDY! Now let's address your so called "return policy with restocking fee" That is also a LIE! You may NOT RETURN IT you may ONLY DECLINE IT WHILE YOU ARE THERE picking it up! So the 2 king size mattresses that I didn't find out were kings until I got home, I couldn't just turn right around and bring back! Plus,  I live 3 hours round trip to your place. It's not like it is one or two things y'all mess up on, it's almost EVERYTHING truth be told. You mislead people and do not take ownership of anything you do wrong. I hear customers in there all the time complaining. The problem is that they do not all get together and complain like they should! But hopefully once people start speaking up the more you will be exposed. Because you may have money but not everyone does and when you are scamming people and swindling people out of their money that is honestly not good business. You know what you are doing and if you can live with being a discriminating ***** then so be it, but I feel truly winged in soooooo many ways by YOU and YOUR COMPANY. I really believe something should be done for all that I've dealt with! ****, I've even tried to help y'all... over and over again!

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

This DOESNT show the actual refund to my account, as for the invoices CANNOT view it (wouldnt open). This sounds let another excuse to prolong this issue. It shouldnt take this long.

I purchased a refrigerator from Deal Badger last week. The item was listed as open box. No defects were listed. I paid more than $800 for the item. I then paid a moving and installation crew another $480 to move the refrigerator into my home. I plugged in the refrigerator and left it to cool overnight. It didn't cool, but would turn on. I thought it may be a problem with not turning it on properly. I eventually called a refrigerator repair person who told me that the refrigerator is leaking refrigerant. I believe Deal Badger knew 100% that they were selling a broken item, but did not disclose it to me. My refrigerator repair man is telling me that the refrigerator can't even be fixed! This is absolutely insane and unethical. I will be spreading the word everywhere I can. I want another working refrigerator or my money back! Preferably my money back and no further dealings with this company!

      Hello,

Thank you for reaching out through our BBB website.  Can you please email all of this information to ******************************* and our ************* team will look into it?

      Thank you.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 01/19/2024

      Complaint: 21136406

I am rejecting this response because I received an email letting me know that the refrigerator I purchased was incorrectly labeled as an open box when it should have been labeled as a scratch and dent item. I didnt receive this information until Wednesday January 17th. The scratch and dent warranty from Deal Badger states that items can be returned within 14 days for a full refund with no questions asked. The 14 days is from the date purchased. This is completely unacceptable as I did not have this information on the day I realized the item was a lemon.

Further, I had a representative from GE appliances come to my daycare center to look at the refrigerator. They confirmed that the item could not be repaired as it had a cut line that was leaking refrigerant. There is no way Deal Badger did not know this when agreeing to sale the item. You all have a duty to test items if you are selling to the public. Because of your negligence I am out nearly $1500. In addition to the purchase price of more than $830 I paid $160 twice to have the item moved and another $340 to have the item serviced. This is unacceptable and I do plan to seek compensatory action to recover all funds paid. I would like a full refund plus damages or a new working refrigerator equal to the total damages due to Deal Badger negligence.

      Sincerely,
