On 9/12/22 I went to Affordable Dentures for a consultation on an upper partial. After meeting with the dentist, he told me the cost of the metal partial and explained that it would have to be ordered and paid for in advance. I paid $1229 and was given a receipt. After not hearing anything from the office in almost 2 months, I contacted them in early November to check the status of the partial. The person who answered said they had been trying to contact me and the partial was in. I asked her what number had she been calling because I didn’t have any missed calls or voicemails from their office. She dismissed my question and asked was I trying to make the appointment or not. We made an appointment for 11/23/22 @ 8:30AM. She explained that it would be an all day process. On 11/23/22, I showed up to find their office closed. Nobody called or left a voicemail to reschedule. I even received an email the day prior confirming my appointment. I then contacted ******** ****** with their costumer solutions department and explained to her what happened. She said she would leave a message for them to contact me. On 11/28/22 after not hearing anything I called and again was told we tried calling you and left a voicemail. After hearing this and not receiving any calls, I no longer wanted to do business with this practice. I asked about a refund and was told I needed to speak with ****** the office manager. After not receiving any return calls from ******, I called back 12/1/22 and was able to speak with her. She said it would be a $300 charge for them to issue a refund. She couldn’t explain what the $300 was for and what I would receive for paying $300. The cancelled appointment cost me a full day of work that I estimate cost me approximately $320. At no time did they attempt to contact my work number or my emergency contact number that I gave them during the initial visit. I also had my phone checked by my provider and they found it to be in normal working condition.
