    On December 27, 2023 I called Atlantic Waste to cancel my service and paid my bill in full. I was very specific when speaking with the employee that I wanted to know the entire total that would be owed to completely close out the account; no mention was ever made of a termination fee at the time. In addition, the can was picked up early(multiple days) instead of at the end of the paid service time. I just received this invoice on 3-25-2024 and have received no other communication regarding this fee or I would have called immediately as no mention was ever made of a termination fee and there was no contract.

    This was not a "termination fee" this was a "cart removal fee." We do charge cart delivery fees and cart removal fees. This is standard practice in the garbage industry. As per the customer's request we removed the can on 12/28/2023 because the customer stated she did not want to be responsible for another quarterly bill. In order for that to take place we needed to remove the can on 12/28. The customer was not charged after 12/28 other than the cart removal fee.

    We ordered a trash cart from Atlantic Waste due to our growing household. We never received the trash cart. Since this is billed on the City water utility bill I have been contacting them since April of 2023 to remove the charge from my account. I called every month about these charges. I spoke to someone in the water department in February of 2024, and she said I need to call the Atlantic Waste company about it. They waited almost a year to tell me this. I called someone at Atlantic Waste, and she assured me they would return my phone call about crediting me for being billed for a trash cart I never received. I called on March 5th, 2024, and she said oh we can't do anything about it..so you have to speak with ************** city utilities department. She tries and send me back to the same people who wouldn't resolve the issue in the first place. All these companies do is give customers the runaround. They know they are in the wrong for charging us $10.57 a month for a trash cart we never received. They charged us for a year. Therefore, they owe us at least $126.84. I want my money refunded, and they owe me even more for inconveniencing me.

    I am rejecting this response because: I contacted the ************** utilities about this matter first, and they referred me to Atlantic Waste a year later as my letter of complaint stated. The ************** utility department said it was nothing they could do because the trash carts are through Atlantic Waste. If my funds are not refunded, I will file a letter of complaint to the ************** city officials.

    I canceled services at the end of December. I have left several messages with billing and emailed them. I have not received a refund nor has the trash can I paid the pick up fee back at the end of December been picked up. I spoke to upper management a few weeks ago and was assured my can would be picked up and check mailed for the refund. This has not occurred and when I just called ******* said she had no notes on her end about my issue. In have screen shots where I paid the 15 dollar pick up fee if needed. I just am unsure where to turn to get someone to refund my money and pick up their trashcan.

    Business is billing for a three month period that was already paid. Payment was made July 2022 but late charges were continually added up until present date. Business has been contacted and proof of payment provided.

    I have attached the invoices from April 2022 to December of 2022.  *** ***** paid for April (Q2) and October (Q4) but she skipped the July (Q3) invoice.  We received payment on April 6th and October 12th. The payment received on October 13th was applied to her July (Q3) invoice.  She cancelled service December 31st of 2022 and she never received another invoice.  She is still responsible for the missed quarterly bill of $104.77. We have made several attempts to resolve this issue with *** *****, but we have been unable to do so.  Last attempt was a phone call this morning on 11/2/2023 at 11:26AM.  Please let me know if there is any additional information you need.  We feel this complaint with BBB should be closed as we have made every effort to resolve the issue.  Thank you.

    Please forgive the delay in my response. I have been under the weather this week.  Accordingly, please do not close this case. 
    I am attaching both the July and October 2022 proof of payment to Atlantic Waste. I sent the same documents to their accounts payable department and the assistant manager at my bank, Synovus, also called the company to confirm proof of both the July and October 2022 payments

    Additionally, I did not cancel my account with Atlantic Waste. One of their representatives removed my trash bin without any prior notification 

    I do not owe them any balance

    We are in receipt of your rejection response and we had hoped our last response and multiple attempts to close this matter would have closed this case.  AWS is not disputing the fact that we received payment, we are disputing the fact that you still have an open invoice for a missed payment for a quarterly bill.  I attached the invoices in my last response and I don't feel the need to do it again.  You are still responsible for the skipped quarterly invoice.  Please don't hesitate to call the office at ************ and ask for ****** if you have any additional questions.  Thanks,
