On 9/28/24 my husband and I paid $1408.60 for repairs to our 2013 Dodge Ram at ************ Center at ***************************************************************** We were told we needed a new water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and starter and this was all done. We got 12 miles down the road and our engine overheated. We were left stranded in an unsafe area with three children two hours from our home and were told there is nothing that can be done except have the vehicle towed back to them. They are now trying to charge us $375 more for something else that also did not address the problem and we are now being told our engine is essentially dead. They are claiming it is our fault the engine overheated when we were told this problem had been addressed by them and our receipt says we should be 100% satisfied or they will repair our vehicle again. We shouldnt have to pay for repairs that were not made, as the problem was never fixed. We are very burdened by the fact that we are out of so much money for a problem that was not fixed. If they consider the engine dead, we should have been told that from the beginning instead of throwing this money away.

Vehicle was towed in with an overheating problem. The water pump
had failed internally and come apart and had to be replaced. The location
replaced the water pump, serpentine belt, and thermostat. They block tested the
engine and it passed the block test after the repairs. A block test on an engine is a chemical test that checks for combustion leaks in an internal combustion engine with a radiator to try and determine if there are internal engine problems.  It's not full-proof but aside from an engine tear down it's the best course of action.  When a vehicle has been overheated you must first repair any items that are a known failure, in this case a bad water pump and thermostat.

Technician took it out for a test drive and when they tried to start the
vehicle it wouldn't start because the starter was bad. They called the customer
to notify them about the starter and the customer acknowledged that they had
been having problems with the starter previously and approved replacing the
      starter.

Customer picked the vehicle up and had another problem with the
vehicle overheating. They had it towed back to the location. The location
replaced the fan clutch, temperature sensor, and another thermostat. They block
tested it numerous times again and it passed the block test again. A misfire
code was generated for cylinder #3 and the technicians deduced that there must be internal engine damage which is causing it to
overheat. Once the vehicle reaches 220 degrees the engine overheats quickly at
that point.  Any additional charges beyond the original repairs are waived

On 12/12/23 I called AAA to aso for a refund of my membership services because I received poor customer service from their towing company. They processed the refund in the amount of $163.00 however I have yet to receive this money. Everytime I call them to check on the status they tell me to wait it has been over 15 business days.

April 13, 2023 I visited ************ 054 Toco Toco Hills *******, ** ***** ************ I agreed to have a oil change, buy a battery if needed and to have a problem with vibration in my steering wheel when braking diagnosed for repair if agreed to. I left my car overnight, received a call the next day saying I needed brakes, resurfacing brake rotors, and a battery. I agreed to the work. my car was ready that evening, I paid $959.52 for the work and 10 minutes in the trip home my car started making this grinding noise, the next morning I went for a drive and did not hear the noise until about 10 minutes into the drive. At this point I am sure I left AAA car care center with a new problem.I took my car back I believe that Monday morning and complained, asking aaa to figure out what went wrong and to please correct it. The next day I got a call saying my car was ready, I picked my car up, 10 minutes into the trip home this loud grinding noise began. Im upset at this point and returned a couple days later, picked my car up again after a test drive around the block. 10 minutes driving home the loud grinding noise began. Then I realized their test drive route is 2 minutes around the block. I returned, requested a tech ride with me as soon as I got there after driving 10 minutes, the tech heard the loud noise and the cycle noise when braking. I left my car again, got a call a couple days later saying I needed hub wheel bearing, brakes, rotors and related parts for $3400.00. I agreed to have the rear work done for $1,790.68 if aaa would put all my used parts in my trunk. After that work the problem is still there, my old parts look good. I wrote a review, the manager called wanting me to bring my car back. I complained showing my parts to manager. I got call 2 days later to replace control arms, front wheel bearings at no labor charge for $1,300. AAA was deceptive selling non needed parts & labor. ************** # is wrong. Twice I have had car trouble and have called triple A. The last time I had car trouble, the technician never showed up. The only thing AAA would do is to remove that date of service so that I would have another service call. Now today, my car is down and again no on is showing up. I cannot get a real person on the line on the 800 number. There is no service from this agency. I can't even find out who the technician was supposed to be so that I can contact directly. I want a credit for my worthless membership.Membership ******************

This complaint appears to be about a tow truck not showing up to tow a vehicle.  This should be lodged elsewhere as I am over auto repair, nothing to do with towing.

There is a customer service number you should call.  *************

My 2012 Dodge Charger was initially towed to the ************ Center at ************************ *******, ** for a non-start issue on 2/3/23. ******** advised that the fuel pump was the issue and fixed it for $1345. I picked up the vehicle on 2/9/23 and was able to drive home but while driving the next day, started to stall out in traffic. Was able to guide vehicle into nearby parking lot and call a tow truck. Vehicle was towed back to the same AAA ******** Center 2/10/23. Technician explained that work done on fuel pump was done incorrectly. Vehicle was fixed free of additional charges and picked up again on 2/13/23. Vehicle was towed back to the same shop, for the third time, on 3/3/23. A diagnostic was done and came back with 5 codes, all of which, I was told by technician could have been brought on by a bad oil pressure sensor. Mechanic replaced oil pressure sensor for $378 and cleared codes. It was suggested that the Air temp sensor and O2 sensors be replaced eventually but was told it would not be a pressing issue for the immediate future. Vehicle picked up from the shop 3/7/23. Was able to get the vehicle home with no issues. Drove the vehicle to work 3/8/23, when I tried to move it the same no start issue persisted that initially caused me to put it in the shop. I called the technician and let them know the problem. Also, I requested a tow truck on 3/8/23,after speaking with the technician, but apparently had reached the max ****** of free tows as a AAA Member and wouldve had to pay a $90 deposit and the additional $5/mile. I canceled/declined the tow services later in favor of a better option. The $90 transaction still went through but is in the process of being disputed by my bank. I dont believe a proper diagnostic was done prior to the initial work on the fuel pump. It seems like the mechanic/technician are just guessing what the true issue is and hoping that fixes it and trying to do the service first, that would be the most costly to the customer.

They lied to me, talked me into an unnecessary repair and then overcharged me for it. They told me my car would not run without this repair, this was untrue. I was told I'd be refunded the overcharge, but never sent the check.

I will need a copy of the repair invoice from the consumer.  I do not show having a customer by the name ******************* in any of our locations.  Without more specific information we will not be able to assist the consumer.
