      In September 2022 I applied for factoring with their company. They were unable to offer factoring due to the fact that the company who referred me to them owed them money. This did not make any sense to me because my company was new and had never done business with them before. Despite this I said no problem I will find another company who can factor for my business. One month later I attempted to sign up with a new factoring company however was stopped because *** filed a *** on my company for the other companies debt. I contacted them many times via phone and email to inform them that this was a fraudulent filing as the other company only referred us and was not the same as our company. After several phone calls and emails they have refused to remove the *** or offer a *** removal letter so that I can seek factoring somewhere else. Again I emphasize that I never worked with the company and had never factored one load. Also the referring company had no association with my company. The companies have two different sets of owners and simply told us to use OTR because they have been good overall. The new factoring company I am working with reported that this is a usual tactic for OTR, if you want to change companies at any time they refuse to give a *** release as they figure you will just give up and start to factor again with their company. This is very unethical practice.
