      I had surgery on 5/9/23. On the surgery date I was insured with ******************** I had a different primary insurance that expired on 4/30/23. I notified the front desk at my pre op appt on 5/1/23 that ******** would be my only insurance for the surgery. I've had Amerigroup ******** for approximately 5 years at the time of surgery, so the information was already on file. I received a bill for $3000 in 2023 and did a 3-way call with Amerigroup on the line telling the practice that they billed incorrectly, and they need to resubmit and not charge me. It is now 2024 and I am still receiving a bill for $3000 and I again had a 3-way call with Amerigroup and the practice and they were told again that they cannot bill me as a ******** patient and that they did not submit the claim properly but they keep sending me bills. They are now past the point of timely filing and they want me to pay for their error. I should not be responsible for a bill per the insurance comapny and I notified them of what insurance to bill. Had they verified my insurance for the surgery date they would have had the same information I stated.

      I (*********************************) had a scheduled appointment with Southern Crescent Women's Healthcare in the ****** office on 2/8/2023 at 10:15 AM. Prior to my appointment date there Southern Crescent Womens Healthcare will send you an open invitation to their Patient Portal to complete your Health History forms, Follow Up forms, and also Pay Your Bill. On this feature that **** offer I noticed that bill was not accurate. I spoke with ******* (outstanding customer service) whom corrected the issue before my appointment. Upon my arrival the receptionist in the waiting area whose customer service was good. Another young lady with a (short cut *** hairstyle, approximately 55, caucasian customer service indefinitely horrible). I gave here my card; attempted to explain the billing issue and credit from insurance provider ********. She continued to say that my copayment was $55, tossed my healthcare card back throw the *****COVID plastic barrier. I asked her for a print out. She stated that there was no why to print anything to give me, and she did not see a credit. *******, (outstanding customer service, extremely knowledgeable of her job) assisted by correcting her that the information I was providing was indeed correct. I asked her what was her name she stated that she does not work in this area and had no knowledge of what she was doing. Never the less I did see **************** (a great doctor). I addressed the issue that I had with ******* (absolutely great person) she stated that she would email **************** and ***** who was in a all day meeting. I never heard from anyone even till this day. I spoke with ****** a scheduler that stated I could not go to another OBGYN (*****************************) without approval. This went on for a few days with the same scheduler. Until I finally spoke with another scheduler whom stated that that information was incorrect that ***** provided. I feel hoodwinked, bamboozled, intimidated, lied to, the list goes on. One person can truly spoil the whole vine.

      I was required to pay $429.06 for a surgery procedure before I had even fully decided if I was going to have the procedure. I was advised that if I were to decide not to have the surgery, the charge would be voided and the amount refunded to my credit card. I chose not to have the surgery and after multiple attempts of phone calls and voicemails, I have not been able to get anyone on the line nor have I received any call back in order to get this resolved. ******** was told was the person overseeing this.
