My experience with Southern Crescent Womens Health during my pregnancy was deeply disappointing and, at times, terrifying. While my routine monthly and weekly appointments with the other doctors went smoothly, my experience with Dr. ******** and the events surrounding my delivery were a ************ the pre-op appointment, Dr. ******** appeared unorganized and unfamiliar with my medical history. Rather than taking the time to understand my case, she began shifting blame onto others for her lack of preparation. She even asked me unrelated questions and behaved as though she didnt recognize that this was a critical pre-op meeting. I immediately got the impression that she was uninterested in me as a patient. Her words only reinforced that feeling she looked at me and said, Wow, look at you, youre huge! Thats not normal. She then ordered me to go to ****************************** for an evaluation, citing concerns about my size. While there, due to the stress of the situation, I began contracting and dilating earlier than expected. My scheduled C-section had to be moved up, and I was in an incredibly vulnerable state. The nightmare didnt end there. At my six-week postpartum appointment, I was horrified to learn that I tested positive for pregnancy. After further investigation and an ultrasound, it was discovered that placenta had been left in my uterus during the surgery a potentially life-threatening complication. The process of removing the retained placenta was traumatizing, and I am still shaken by how easily this oversight could have cost me my life.I would not recommend Southern Crescent Womens Health to anyone, as my experience left me feeling dehumanized, neglected, and unsafe. I am thankful to God that I survived to tell my story and that my baby is healthy, but I would never trust this clinic with my care again.
