I paid this company $600 for a detailed inspection on a used 1983 ***** k10. ***** ***** failed to mention the bad alternator, which failed ~50 miles into my 1200 mile trip back home.More importantly, ***** ***** and his team did not mention that the transmission was bad; when I first drove the truck (after having inspected by a professional) I noticed the automatic transmission was shifting late into the high rpms. The transmission ultimately failed and broke ~200 miles into my trip. This glaring issue was never mentioned to me on the phone or in his report. Now im stranded in **************, 1000 miles away from home. It appears ***** ***** belongs to the back pocket of the dealership I bought the truck from.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. At Allens Automotive Appraisal, we take all feedback seriously and strive to provide our clients with thorough, professional, and accurate inspections.

Regarding your complaint about the 1983 ***** K10:

Inspection Scope: Our inspection was conducted to evaluate the vehicle's condition at the time of inspection. As noted in our agreement and report, the appraisal process involves assessing visible and accessible components without disassembly or diagnostic testing. Additionally, the report details the findings based on the condition of the vehicle during the inspection period.

Alternator and Transmission: Mechanical issues such as alternator or transmission failure can be unpredictable and may not present themselves during a visual inspection or test drive, especially if the issue is intermittent. We provide a thorough inspection based on our professional expertise; however, mechanical failures occurring after the inspection are beyond our control.

Allegation of Bias: I want to assure you that our appraisal services are conducted with integrity and impartiality. We do not have any affiliation or partnership with the dealership from which you purchased the vehicle. Our goal is always to provide our clients with accurate information so they can make informed decisions.

Resolution: While we regret the unfortunate situation you are experiencing, we must reiterate that our inspection process is limited to a comprehensive visual and operational assessment, and it cannot predict future mechanical failures. If you would like to discuss this matter further or require additional clarification, please feel free to reach out to us directly at *****************************.

Thank you again for your feedback. We are committed to continually improving our services to better meet the needs of our clients.

    Sincerely,
    ***** *****
