I purchased a 2014 ***** Malibu from this dealership two weeks ago. Shortly after purchase, the car began jerking while driving, the air conditioning would delay turning on, and eventually the check engine light began flashing. Before I even made it to work, the vehicle broke down completely.I immediately reached out to the dealership via text and phone. I was told over the phone that they would work with me to get the vehicle back on the road a conversation I specifically asked to be confirmed in writing. They refused to do so. I agreed to get the vehicle towed to them at my own expense after they said it would be looked at.After the vehicle arrived, they became unprofessional and hostile over the phone when I asked for a timeframe for diagnosis. No written acknowledgment of the repair agreement or warranty terms was ever sent. Instead, the only follow-up text I received was about a $10 oil change, in which they did without approval. They are now refusing to honor the 30-day/*****-mile warranty because the car exceeded ***** miles, even though it is still within the 30-day period and the issues appeared well before the breakdown. I reminded them of our earlier conversation where they said they would still work with me even if mileage was exceeded, but they refused to acknowledge that or continue assisting me.This situation suggests the vehicle was sold with undisclosed issues, and the warranty was offered in bad faith. Their conduct became aggressive, dismissive, and manipulative once the sale was finalized and the vehicle failed.Desired Resolution:I am requesting that the dealership:Honor the original warranty as agreed (engine/transmission, 30 days),Or reimburse me for the cost of the vehicle due to failure within 2 weeks of purchase,And issue an apology for the poor treatment I received after reporting the issue in good faith.

Hello to whom it may concern I am reaching out because I recently purchased a car 2 1/2 almost three months ago and the engine has blown. Ive called Sterling autowhich is the company I purchased the vehicle from and let them know the issues that were going on. They advise me that this problem was on me because I did not go get a oil change within the timeframe ( ***** miles or 3 months whichever comes first) and I do take full responsibility for not paying attention to how many miles I have drove within this time however, I have not ever had this issue before with any vehicle. They sold me a car without any oil and like I stated, I do take full responsibility for not doublechecking on my end as far as doing an oil change I also just recently did more research on the vehicle and found out that it has a recall from the car company. I feel as if Sterling all knew this before my purchase and still sold it to me. I am asking for help from these crooks Ive been paying my note trying to pay in time but Ive been missing work due to this mater and they are refusing to help me out al they just harass me about making payments saying that after eight days of nonpayment, Ill go to collections and that there would be nothing that they can do about it however, both times I wanted to collections they took me out of collections. I believe that they are just getting over on me because they want my money, Even after I explained the problem that is going on with my engine, they pointed all the blame on me saying that it was my fault and I still had to pay. The car has sat for longer than Ive owned it, and I have not drove it whenever I ask for any details on what was done to the vehicle prior to me purchasing it and also any Carfax on the vehicle I am told they do not provide that information to me and they cannot provide that information to me. I am just asking for some help from someone please! Looking forward to hearing back soon.

They are selling us lemon cars and dont care I got my car October 28 and November 25 motor goes out and I had already reached out to them about the breaks going to the floor and transmission and motor they assured me that nothing was wrong with the car that it passed the emissions test and everything but the mechanic I had look at it tell me they put something in the motor to stop it from knocking and I just drove it long enough for the motor go ahead and go out and he also said the transmission is bad. They picked the car up maybe a week ago and I called them right before Thanksgiving on the 25th. Shes telling me I have to keep paying the payment in order for them to tell me whats going on with the car and after they told me I had a warranty on both transmission and motor now I have to pay 800 to pick the car up 141 for Tow. Remind you. I just paid a payment. I text this morning and asked what was going on with the car did they even start fixing the car and she told me she would have to check with her supervisor and call me back and let me know so what am I supposed to do? I feel like theyre taking advantage of people and Im sure Im not the only one something has to be done though because this is ridiculous. Seem like all they want is money they dont care about anything else and like I said I reached out to ********* and I reached out to *************** whatever his name is several times. ********* was supposed to set up something for them to come get the car a week after I call so they can check the transmission she didnt that after that I called back and told both of them that I heard knocking or like a squealing and they told me it was OK now the motor is out. I dont have a car Im out of $1100 plus the 300 and some dollar insurance I had to put down on the car plus the extra hundred they getting for what I dont know. I just feel like they need to be shut down and theyre not gonna do the right thing by that Customers because at this point is giving

      Ms, *****,

This is shocking and interesting to read your comments or complaint. You called us and stated that your vehicle was running hot, You were told not to drive your vehicle hot and have it towed. You continued to drive it.  Not only did you drive it hot but your NEVER changed your oil which you were told to change every 3k miles. You dove it over 4k without any oil change. We offer $10 for an oil change to avoid cost being an issue.

We are shocked you are trying to blame us after we sent a tow truck because you said you could not afford one.  Now you want us to give you a refund or put an engine that you are clearly not going to take care of at our expense.

We will be happy to check on the status of your car or repair and let you know what you need to do going forward.

      Thank you

Financed a vehicle back in march 2024. When purchasing the vehicle everything was fine until 2 days later when my check engine light came on and the code was for my catalytic converter. I reached out to the business and let them know what was going on with my car. Was advised to bring my vehicle in. Before I was able too 3 more things went wrong with my car. Not only that. There was a kill switch installed on my vehicle that I was never made aware of. I was behind 2 days in my car note and my car was shut off and thats when I learned that my vehicle had a kill switch. Fast forward my car is still messing up I then decide to bring it in to the dealership 5 days before my next due date was told it would take ********************************************************************************************************* to come get it because I was now late a day due to them holding my car for a week. I needed up paying it and getting my car. Fast forward again my car gets repossessed with all my belongings because at this time I am homeless. Was told to come and retrieve my belongings on Thursday July 18 2024. I reached out in the 17th to let them know Ill be there the next day to get my things I got no reply back. July 18 I get to the dealership go in the front and let them know Im here to get my things. **** at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about she asked if I seen my car I told her yes she got the keys from me and told me I can go to the car and get my things. Opening the door to the car all of my belongings are gone only thing left in the car was the emissions paper from when I got my emissions done. I go back inside to ask the lady at the front she has no idea where my things are. She called the lady who I was supposed to meet and she said she had no idea where my things were. My belongings was stolen out of my vehicle on their property. Not to mention the 17th they also blocked my my number so I had no way to reach them. I have more information

I bought a vehicle on 5/15. I signed a contract that had no seller signature on it. When I drove home , less than 45 minutes away from this place the vehicle made it to the destination. When I was starting the car back up to head to another destination vehicle would not start. I called sterlings and they advised they to bring back tomorrow. 5/16 a worker there advised me to attempt to bring vehicle in. I did and vehicle stopped again 10 minutes in the ride. I called sterling to tow vehicle and they did. They had vehicle for 2 days and advised they can put us in another vehicle because of the situation. I advised I dont want to go into another contract and want my money back. They are advising they cannot. If yall are able to start another contract yall should be able to give me my money back. They are bad business here . Please be CAREFULL

I purchased a vehicle on 2/23/24 from Sterling Auto Consultants. Soon after leaving the premises the check engine light came on, car stalling, wont accelerate over 60mph. I contacted Sterling Auto and was told they have to set me an appointment. It wasnt until the following week I would get an appointment. I went to autozone to have a read of the engine codes there are several. After taking my car in for the appointment on Thursday 2/29/24 they had the car until 3/5/24. Told me all engine code issues were resolved vendors changed yet car still has same issues. Car cannot pass emissions. Dealer refuse to let me exercise my rights to use me 30 day warranty which covers my engine and transmission. I have a broken vehicle and a warranty that they refuse to honor nor will they fix the issues the car has. They keep using the *** II machine to clear the engine light just long enough to get you out the lot. My travel from their location to my home in ********* is a long ride and the engine light comes back on before I can even make it home. I paid $1600 down with biweekly payments of $250. Im asking for a resolution of either a full refund or proper repair from a trusted source since I dont feel I can trust them to make the repairs due to their lying.
