Stay clear of ******* and this maintenance department. I started the oil campaign for my ***** **. I was buying oil like crazy. We did the tests. Then I did the combustion cleaning covered by warranty. I paid for cat and o2. After over 20 days and no rental car offered, I received my car back with no added oil. The oil was below the L mark on dip stick. So I went back. They topped the oil off. I continued the campaign. Had to drive another 1k miles. I called the day before to ensure I could get it checked and leave and bring it back when I was able to. So I brought it in. Was told I had to leave the car. I had no ride back. Was told about 2 weeks. After a meltdown because I needed a vehicle, you know work and kid. I was given a loaner. Tia was amazing. Right about 3-4 weeks my car is ready for pick up. I come back. Now my airbag light is stuck on. So I go right back in. I was told had nothing to do with the new engine. I told them it wasn't on when I left it. So back to shop it went. Got another rental. 3 weeks later, car is ready. Was told no charge in good faith of them because it wasnt their fault. I pick it up and screws are missing that connect the air filter, screw covers are missing also.
I'm currently waiting the GM to call. They are a lot of incompetent workers here. Failure of follow up.
There is no way this is a new engine. Its already ticking. I'm very dissatisfied. Stay away from *******.

Nighmare 5/9/25 customer service complaint. My 20** ***** ** broke down & had to bring to Warner Robins service department. My rep. is Eric which has not been a good experience. My car had to be towed in & Eric sent a text telling me that I owed about 2k, which I thought I should have received a phone call, which he said he did. However, we had conversion back & forth, which I don't have a issue with but the bill was alternator, battery & drive belt. I didn't and don't understand why I need a new belt or a battery which I had just purchase a battery and no it didn't come from Hyundai but I have a warrenty. So we moved pass that part. Then he text me Thur. and said your battery did not come in today. So it will be on tomorrow, So, texted asking if they could wash my car & no responds all day, So, I went up there Saturday to find out from another rep. that he took off Friday and would not be back until Monday. Great for him again no problem, but why wasn't my file passed on to someone else; because I was told I had to wait for him to return on Monday. So I ask the rep. did my battery come in and was told it would not arrive until Wednesday. I have been out of a car since Friday, which I have a platium warranty with car rental and I could have got a rental car but Eric has taken that from me as well. When I came into your office I tried to work with another person and he jump in to defend his self and took over the conversion. There not enough space to state how unhappy I am with your service and Eric. At this point I don't trust the work that is being done to my car and feel I am paying for stuff I really don't need meaning my battery because *** tested my battery and it measure 13 but all Eric can tell me that the tech said my battery didn't pass the test. I also know when techs change the alternator they also want to change the belt and the battery. I would like resolution to make me feel like my car will not have more issues once it leaves your shop.

My car has been at Five Star Hyundai over three months now awaiting a clutch bushing. I have call them on the telephone with no answer. When someone answers it's to be transferred and finally disconnected. While in their office inquiring; and there has been many, I am put off with reasons that parts have been ordered and waiting delivery. Seven days ago (12 December) doing an in-office visit, I was told that the part was received. This repair on the clutch was done one year ago. Since that first repair I have returned the car three times for the same issue. Each return time within one to three months period.
Finally, when the one-year so called warranty expired, I was quickly quoted a cost $240.00 to check the vehicle. I just like to know what’s going on. Thank-you!

I had my 20** Hyundai ***** towed to Five Star Hyundai Warner Robins 7-2-24. The service tech Griffin phoned me 7-9-24 to say a diagnostic had been done, and the shifter needed to be replaced at a cost of $2000+. I told Griffin that there is a ********* warranty to pay for repairs. He said he would phone ********* to initiate a claim. I phoned Griffin on/about July 12 & 16 to ask about the claim. He said he had been too busy to call to file the claim. I went to 5Star on/about July 18 to talk with Griffin about calling in the claim. He said he would phone ********* that evening. I called the next day and the receptionist said Griffin said he did not call. I phoned the Service Manager Lisa 3+ times and left my name/phone # during the last 2 weeks of July. She never returned not one call. I asked to speak to the general manager at least 3x's, but was told there was no general manager at this time. I phoned ********* on July 23 to ask them to phone 5Star about filing the claim. I went to 5Star the morning of July 25, Griffin said he had filed the claim on July 23. I immediately phoned ********* to confirm while still at 5Star. ********* said "NO CLAIM HAD BEEN FILED! ********* phoned Griffin back again on the afternoon of July 25. Griffin told ********* he would phone them back to start the claim. As of August 1, Griffin had not phoned them back. On August 1, I had my car towed to another repair shop. No "valid" reason was ever given for not filing the claim. Sales Manager Lisa rescinded the $200+ charge for the diagnostic. This service/behavior at 5Star W.R. was the most unprofessional disrespectful dishonest I have ever encountered. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, I rate them zero (0). They should change their service department name to "NO STAR HYUNDAI OF WARNER ROBINS." I would never recommend anyone for their services or go to "NO STAR HYUNDAI WR' services ever again.

Five Star Hyundai Warner Robins Service Department is a disservice to its customers, when you employ people who are not honest when communicating with customers about their vehicle. Amanda the service advisor clearly stated to me that the claim for my son's vehicle had been approved and the transmission had been delivered to the store. She went on to say it would be about three days for the process to be completed. I called the Hyundai Corporation to verify the information and was shocked that the information Amanda provided was false and the claim was still processing so why did she feel the need to lie. This is the second time the vehicle has been brought in for transmission issues within 3 months because the first incident the transmission was replaced by the service department allegedly, but that may be a lie. He has never been provided a loaner car to use and whenever he mentioned it they would say we added your name to the list. If I could give zero stars I would.

    ***. ******,
I am truly sorry for the misinformation. After inquiring about your son's vehicle, it appears that you were in fact given the wrong update. Your son's vehicle is still in the approval process and Hyundai is requiring additional information pertaining to the cause of failure with the vehicle. We are working closely with Hyundai to resolve the issue and hopefully get an approval for the repair to be covered under warranty. I also inquired about a loaner vehicle for your son and confirmed that he is on the waiting list for the next available loaner. We will continue to update you with information as we receive it.

We found the vehicle we wanted after searching other dealers, and purchased the vehicle on February 7, 2024. We thought we were dealing with a Five Star dealership, much to our surprise we were dealing with a one star dealership. Purchased all the warranties that we could get for our 2022 ***** **. We were given one fob only with the vehicle upon purchase. JT the financial officer when notified of the single fob issue, he instructed us to wait 30 days, call the warranty company, tell them that we had lost our only fob, and we would get a new one. We are a one car family and if we lost our only fob how would we get the vehicle to the dealership to have a replacement programmed. When vehicle was purchased it was in need of oil change and pre purchase maintenance. After 7 trips to and from the dealership, 3 loaner vehicles, and our vehicle was locked up in a holding lot for 7 days, the nightmare continues. Before it was all done our vehicle was at the dealership for 18 days, for 2 1/2 days work needed. We had recently installed towing wires underneath the vehicle. The day before towing wires were needed to come back home to ************ we found the wires missing. After multiple calls to Greg C**** GM he found the wires and tow chains on top of the service techs toolbox. THEY STOLE FROM US. We had to purchase another style of towing lights and new tow chains to be able to travel the next day. We only got reimbursed for the new tow lights and chains, never got parts returned and gave us nothing for time, troubles, mileage, and expense for this nightmare of the purchase of new used vehicle to our family. Five Star surely knows how to KILL the new car WOW FACTOR . Please rush over and purchase you a vehicle from these yahoo's so you can have a better experience then we did.

    **. ****,
I am sorry to hear your experience with our service staff was less than stellar. It is my understanding that the wiring installed after the purchase of your vehicle was unknown to the technician and the issue the vehicle was displaying was an electrical concern. This is the reason the technician removed the wiring. I am happy to hear you were compensated for the replacement of the items that were not returned to you however I understand the time and experience was dissatisfactory and for that I am truly sorry.

After returning home with my vehicle, I was contacted by Greg at Five Star Hyundai the next day. He indicated that he had reviewed my paperwork and confirmed that the updates had not been completed and he wanted to make things right. He was apologetic and assured me that this is not how they do business. Nevertheless, the updates have been completed along with a nice car wash for my troubles. I appreciate him going over and beyond to make it right! Great job Greg!

My original complaint with Five Star Response is below. Notice they did not address the $3,500 I paid for an extended warranty, or the fact my problem should be covered under Hyundai’s engine recall. I was originally told they would fix my car if I removed the negative review. I did…they didn’t. FIVE STAR CANNOT BE TRUSTED…AVOID THEM AT ALL COST.
When you purchase a new vehicle you will be treated like a king/queen. I know, I've purchased 10 from them. Just don't ever need them to step up and provide satisfaction when you have a problem with service (same goes for Hyundai). I paid $3,500 for an "extended warranty" that I was told would cover the powertrain, transmission, etc for as long as I own the vehicle (beyond the standard 10 yr/100,000 mile warranty). When I had a problem, they claim there is no such coverage, and have no record of the transaction. In addition, I have been told twice (by a service manager) that I needed bogus "repairs" that amounted to more than $1,200 and $1,800, neither of which was needed. You will do well to avoid all Five Star dealerships (and Hyundai in particular) like a plague. Buy from someone who can be trusted.
the $3,500 I paid for an extended warranty was wasted…DON’T BE TRICKED INTO PURCHASING. In fact, I have serious doubts now as to whether the warranty was ever secured from a third party. I don’t trust anyone, or anything, that has Five Star on it. I have not been able to drive my vehicle for more than 6 months due to engine wear that Hyundai is well aware, and Five Star refuses to help. AVOID ANYTHING FIVE STAR at all cost. Their offer to repair my vehicle “at a discounted rate” doesn’t impress me. I have taken my business for a new vehicle to Honda.

Mr. Salter, unfortunately we were unable to cover your repairs as the warranty on the vehicle has expired. With that said, we would be more than happy to assist with the repairs at a discounted rate for your satisfaction

Mr. Salter, it is unfortunate that your vehicles warranty has expired, and the repairs are no longer covered. The fact that there are 144,000 miles on the vehicle the engine will not be covered. I understand your frustration with this matter, and I would love to assist you as much as possible with helping out with the cost of your vehicle repairs. I would be willing to perform the repairs at or below our employee cost. I hope this helps as we value you as a customer. I hope you have a great day, and I look forward to assisting with this matter.

We have been a customer for service work for some years. Getting an oil change there was convenient. Five Star is the only service dealership in my area. We had a paint bubble on the hood showing signs of rust. Looks like it is happening from under the paint. Had taken to Five Star Hyundai about 3 yrs ago and they looked at it and took pictures of it and said they would submit to Hyundai and get back to us in a couple of weeks. Well, did not here from them for a month or so, so called them and the service person who took the picture was not in. Well, now is is time for our next oil change and went in and talked to the service guy and asked him what is up. Again, the service person who deals in submitting the claims was not in, but the guy who was there insure me that he would get him to call me. We played this game for awhile and I had enough and went to the Five Star Collision shop and explained to them what the issue was. They could not believe the situation and they took a photo and said they would get with Five Star Hyundai and get back in touch with me. Well, nearly 5 months later same story with the collision center. They have not called me back and after several attempts calling Five Star Hyundai and getting no answer, we reached out to Hyundai. I don't know how much faster this will be, but I pretty much told them that, even as we are HUGE fans of Hyundai, because we can't get the service needed here locally, we have no choice then to find another vehicle manufacture so we can go to a different dealership service. Five Star Hyundai should be closed, not renovating.

Update. I have Hyundai calling the Dealership and having a hard time talking with the Manager. They have succeeded a couple of times. The manager called me and asked for information. I immediately sent it to him and did not respond back. It was his cell phone. Weeks later he called back and said he would like to help and will try to work me in and asked if I stopped by yet for them to look at the vehicle. He obviously forgot our conversation and why am I trying to be worked in? They have everything the need to move forward as well as Five Star Collision. They have all my info including pictures. Been there 3 times and they assured me they would contact me. Can you hear the crickets. All I can say that Hyundai service at Five Star is extremely poor. I guess their remodeling is more important than customers. I love Hyundai, but even the manufacture is going slow on this. Maybe they want to prolong this beyond their warranty?

Final Update to this issue. Read below. This is the result of 3 years working this issue with Five Star Hyundai in Warner Robins, GA. They have the pictures, suppose to have filed the claim and now they don't have time for me. After speaking to the Manager (John) and said they would work me in, which I don't understand, they are not painting my vehicle, just submit the claim. Don't waist your time with Five Star.

    Dear Felix,

Hope this email finds you well,

I just want to let you know that I spoke with Liza back at Five Star Hyundai of Warner Robins and she told me that they are not taking paint concerns at the moment. She told me that you can go to Volume Hyundai or Five Star Hyundai.

I purchased a truck July 27 from Hyundai five star. The day I drove it off the lot I had to bring it back that first day. They kept it for about a week fixing 3000 worth of work on it. Then about a week later they had to come tow the truck off my property. To replace a whole new battery and no telling what else. After driving it a few more time. I had to take it back up to the shop. So I was out with a car for three weeks or almost a whole month. They basically had to take the whole engine out to fix so much stuff that was worth $6000. After that not even probably about two or three days after getting the truck back had to take it right back. Because the fan is staying on when truck turn off and no telling what else is going on with that truck. So I do not have a ride to get to work and a ride to go to my appointment. A ride to get my one year old to places. I’m a single mother that had to update a **** ***** to something bigger because I needed space for being tall and with a car seat and with a second child on the way as well. This experience been really horrible with this 2014 Chevrolet truck. Won’t even get me out of the truck. Would had to paid 11,000 for that truck plus a whole new car cost. Wanted my payments to go up to 600! When I can’t afford that and needed something that I thought was in great condition by paper work I saw. But I got scammed with this car dealership.
