I hired this company to do work in my back yard. What I asked for wasn't done and was talked out of what I really wanted completed. The original price was ****** to complete this small job. After ****** decided to talk me into adding a slope, he didn't tell me it was an additional ***** dollars. The slope was also a huge drop-off which wasn't packed down or done right. The whole back yard was supposed to be in a slight angle from high point down to nothing with all sod but what I received was more upkeep. This bid also included adding a small retaining wall which took weeks to have done. This small retaining wall was built crooked, and a huge amount of dirt left over for me to deal with. There was a lot of damage done to my concrete entering my gate, also he ran over the corner of another section of concrete around my garage door, damaged my fence, hit my deck when I was on it, and built a crooked retaining wall. When I asked if he was going to fix all the damages, he blamed it on air pockets under the concrete. When I asked about the dirt from the wall, he wanted to charge me another $350 more to move it. I will not go in details of what he did to my 80-year-old neighbor's yard or how he cursed him out. No silk fence was put down, no plywood put down to protect my concrete, mismatch sod in my front yard, and now I am dealing with a huge washout on the hill I originally didn't want which he will not respond too. What was originally ****** now became *********. That's ******** more and now I have to pay someone to fix all the issues he left me with. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. From the other bad BBB review this company does not have insurance or either certified to do this work. It's sad I had to write a bad review on a friend I've known for a very long time, but friends do not do friends this way. ALC & Contracting got their money, and good luck trying to get them to repair what they have broken or fix what they didn't complete right.
