Be aware! I bought 2 First Class Tickets from *****, ***** to *********, ** (***). They cost ~$2200. We boarded. Mechanical difficulties prevented the jet from departure. Hawaiian Airlines redirected us to an Alaska Airlines flight already boarding. We were seated separately in unsold economy seats and sent to ****** in **, where we deplaned and just made the final boarding call for another Alaskan Airlines flight to ***. Total time was 10 hours, 12 hours with time zones. NO dinner, no services. Filed a claim on **'s website for refund. Ignored. Had an attorney try to determine the correct procedure and contact, and the HA Agent just hung up during the call. Requested that **** reverse the payment. **** did so and contacted HA. HA responded tyo **** that they provided the "flights and services" purchased, so **** reinstated the charges. HA will not even communicate concerning a partial refund. Zero. To date, we still haven't actually flown on a HA jet, but I'm out $2200. I would give this business a zero star rating if it was possible!

Reservation and **************** Lack of Training! WORST EVER SEEN! Lack of Commonsense! RIDICULOUS!I booked a round trip with first class seats for my wife and my daughter from ONT to HNL departing on 2/8 and return on 2/14. On 1/28, I called customer representative service to see if I could change the return flight ONLY! from *** to ONT from 2/14 to 2/13, whether seats are available and wanted to know the price difference as well. I was looking for an EVEN change for my return flight ONLY. Made it very clear. The customer agent I spoke to said there were only several dollars difference, so I said go ahead to make the change. But things turned out as the tickets for BOTH departing and return flights for my wife's and daughter's reservation were reissued as economy seats!!! I questioned the agent why you changed both tickets and downgraded the seats for both departure and return flights? This is lack of commonsense! Would a normal person consider changing a date for one flight equivalent to being willing to accept downgrade to economy class???The agent apologized for this and she spent ***** min talking to some sort of support team while I was waiting on the phone. Finally, she got back to me saying that first she apologized for what happened and then second, all they can do is to refund the miles I originally paid for first class seats and it may take up to 7 business days to show up in my account. Now 6 days passed as of today 2/2, nothing showed up. My original itinerary was to depart on 2/8, there is only 5-6 days away!!! There is only 1 flight on each day from ONT to HNL. Everything becomes pending, no refund, no reissuance of the tickets! I was only supposed to inquire about seat availability and price adjustment difference for the return flight only, but ended up with tickets were cancelled and refund of miles still not showing up in my account, could not be able to fly on 2/8 from ONT. This is the most ridiculous customer service experience I ever had!

I was lied ***** flight was originally supposed to depart at 2:30PM, but was delayed to 5PM due to mechanical issues with the plane bathroom. The spokesperson for our flight then stated that we were okay to board and that we would be HEADING TO *************. However, after boarding, when the ******* (Captain Puni?) was greeting us before take off, they must have slipped up because they said Welcome to your flight to ********. None of us were informed about anything regarding ******** so we assumed that was a mistake on their part. Surprise, 10 minutes later we get another announcement stating that we were going to have to be dropped off at **************** instead due to issues with cabin pressure, MID FLIGHT. Reminder, this is AFTER it was declared that we were okay to board and would be heading to ***. Its pretty clear that this flight was destined to end up at ******** due to the mechanical issues, but no one wanted to be the bad guy so we were tricked into being pawned off to the bigger airport in ********. Instead of being informed properly and getting another flight from OGG you know, the airport we were supposed to be departing from? We were transferred to ****** and obviously we had to **** the boarding/bag check process again. No compensation, only a refund for the check fee for original HA flight, but we still had to pay for the check fee at United. Im in need of knee replacement and my sister has health issues. The boarding process at *** was hard enough on us. I literally have family in **** so we could have just went home, rested, and got another flight back to ***. How is it okay for HA to withhold information causing us to board a flight they KNEW they were sending to HNL, all to save face. Super messed up of them to omit information just so they dont have to deal with a gate full of people with canceled flights. They should have just taken the loss, instead they bring us to a whole other island? The unprofessionalism is shocking.

I decided to wait for Zone 4 to board ahead of me. Wasn't in a rush to get in the line of people. Upon entering the plane on Maui as I was looking for my assigned seat I originally paid for, I saw that another person was already in my assigned seat. I asked him what his seat number and letter was. He replied and said that the attendant moved him there. The attendant did not wait for me to sit or even ask if I was willing to move. Another attendant told me she was gonna move my bag to the overhead compartment above me. She smashed it in the corner in a small narrow space. When I turned around, I seen that she moved it cause she wanted to accommodate a employees luggage so he could take the other half of the overhead space. I felt that the service at Hawaiian Airlines on this plane was unacceptable. Please be aware and always observe how people treat you on Hawaiian Airlines. This is where I live and I still got bad service!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not work with you when they block your credit card. I'm travelling, which I told them about before I left and they blocked my card. I try to get it unblocked and they say they can send text or I can FAX over a bunch of sensitive info. I Send passport photo, Bank acct info, utility bills, Social Security Card and now 2 weeks later, still no F%&%^ing unblocked card. They refuse to handle it on the phone, just tell me to keep waiting, ask to speak to a supervisor and I will get a call back? Yeah right, I'm in another country, the whole time they say, I understand, but they do not, clearly. They are HORRIBLE. I am ripping up this card and never using it or flying Hawaiian again. You should choose to avoid barclays ad Hawaiian Airlines as well.

Just thought Id write a PSA for anyone considering taking a flight on Hawaiian Airlines. I suggest you dont if at all possible if you dont want to be potentially ripped off several hundred dollars. The night before my flight back in June of last year, I get an email saying my flight got cancelled and that Ill be sent another email with my revised flight. Of course, I didnt have much time to wait so I called them at 3am. The guy taking my call says that my only option was a flight to LA 3pm-12am. I will admit here that while I knew it wouldnt take me all the way to my destination: I felt pressured by both the time constraint and the call center. Also he didnt mention that there wouldnt be any possible refund or credit after the changes otherwise I wouldve thought twice. So I was blindsided when I later found something that was better and went on those flights instead then called for a credit for the flight that was not taken. I was told that it wasnt possible unless I cancel the whole flight going back. Soon after the trip, I sent out an email to voice my complaint but it was completely ignored. Even called a month later to check in on why there was no reply back(email replies state a month eta) and was told they would deal with mines soon. (They didnt) In October, I asked someone at the desk about my dilemma. She said that I should still have credit for the flight I didnt end up taking. However when I called Hawaiian again in April to ask about applying it, they were unable to find records of it since it was past a year. Totally unfair since the forced flight change was made at the end of June, but apparently counts it towards when I booked the flight which was in March. As someone whos lived in ****** my whole life, I have never been so poorly serviced in my life that this is the very first time that I feel compelled to write this out to warn people about this scam of a business.

I am older so I have been through things. Hawaii Airlines is the worst human group, business I have ever experienced. They are cold blooded. They say they are sorry but they are not. If they are sorry they will try to find a solution for the customer. I purchased tickets for 4 people. 3 of us are still traveling as the original itinerary. The 4th person has already left country. I requested credit or refund 3 weeks before the departure date. There are still plenty of time to sell an isle seat to ****** in the middle of summer. Hawaii airline rejected because all tickets are non-refundable and none transferrable. I understand the policy but my 4th passenger has left the country and she is not coming back in a year. I have sent the proof of her ticket of leaving. This is an absolute loss. The policy only works when the person is still in the country and eligible to travel. I paid the tickets and I am asking the credit is back to my own use, not the 4th passenger because she didn't pay it. I did. I am the customer here.

Hawaiian Airlines appears to be tracking my booking as Im trying to make reservations. When I find a flight that fits the cost or mileage I want to expend, I log out to discuss my choice with a companion flyer. When log back in within the next 10 minutes, I find the price/mileage has increased. When this happened after selecting another flight at the lower cost/mileage, I decided to log out and log back in with several alternate flights to fool it. I was able to find a flight at the lower price/mileage and purchased it. But when I checked the receipt it was for the higher cost/mileage. I complained to Hawaiian but they responded saying the altered price/mileage depended on demand. How is it possible for a price/mileage to change within a second of the purchase? I have photos of the confirmed purchase at the lower price/mileage and the receipt at the higher price/mileage. HA is using a system to track our IP address and manipulate our choices. Foul play!

My seat was changed without notice. I explained to them, I have ptsd and I picked my original seats so I don't get trigger. I was told, next time book a private jet.
