    My wife and I recently attended a presentation at the Kaanapali ********** during our 30th anniversary trip. Upon arrival and before checking into our room, we were approached by a representative who invited us to a 45-minute presentation, which we believed would provide information about the resort and the island. Instead, it turned out to be a high-pressure sales pitch for a timeshare.During the presentation, we were offered multiple incentives, including three restaurant gift cards, the first year's maintenance fee covered, and a complimentary 5-day cruise. Despite our initial reluctance, we were persuaded to sign a contract under the promise of these benefits and the assurance that we could finance the purchase with a low-interest loan.The sales representative facilitated the creation of Diamond Resort credit cards for the down payment without fully disclosing the financial implications. We later discovered that the financing carried a 20% interest rate, contrary to the representative's assurances of an alternative financing option with a much lower rate. Upon further inquiry, we were advised to contact First ************* for a loan, only to find that the maximum loan amount offered was insufficient to cover our timeshare debt.Due to these misleading and deceptive practices, we have been unable to secure the promised financing and have since been burdened with unmanageable debt. The stress and financial strain caused by this situation have been significant.We request the immediate termination of our timeshare contract and a full refund of all payments made. The high-pressure sales tactics, misrepresentation of financing options, and lack of transparency in the terms of the contract have caused us considerable distress and financial hardship.We hope to resolve this matter amicably and promptly. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue.

    Date of transaction: 9/29/2022 Amount: ****** What the business committed to: Offering a beachfront hotel steps away from the beach with a beach walk and cabana setup.Nature of dispute: I made a reservation at the hotel with the impression I was going to have a beachfront condo with beach access in less than a minute with beach amenities. There is a video on the hotel's landing page and content that are misleading to what the hotel looks like and amenities. Around 9/25 portions of the beachwalk and trees fell into the ocean in front of Kaanapali Alii Resort. Guests must walk 15 minutes to access the beach, the beachwalk is compromised, the beach area is an eye soar and there is no access to some of the hotel amenities. The hotel's video and website content has not been modified nor was there any notification of the limitations. I learned of the limitations from a ****** review. When I called to see if things would change by the time I arrived I was told it's unknown, to ****** to see the damage and there are no exceptions to the refund policy. I cancelled my reservation and have not received a refund for the deposit. I would not have reserved the condo if the recent events were known upfront.
