Good Evening, I recently expressed my interest to WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE about acquiring a vehicle, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Vin #*****************, for my consumer benefit and usage. I informed WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE that I wanted to purchase the agreement for the truck using a sign and drive. I informed WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE through verbal communication on the phone and email correspondence that I specifically wanted a sign and drive and did not want to make a note investment by purchasing a car loan agreement. I also expressed that regardless of my credit score that it is against the law to deny me access to the use of my credit, as I am the beneficiary to this transaction. I was provided with a wonderful sales rep. named *********************, who provided me with a bill of exchange presentation sheet to be presented to my bank, the US Treasury, to demand payment for the purchase agreement of the truck for $87,963.00 by sign and drive. I filled out the bill of exchange presentation sheet authorizing the one time payment made payable on demand which was presented to the US Treasury, my bank, as a obligation of a debt of the US treasury which on demand and as requested by WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE using my endorsed and authorized presentation sheet bill of exchange, by filing a 1099 OID and sending a payment voucher to receive payment necessary to facilitate the purchase of Cadillac Escalade ESV, Vin #*****************. My bank, US Treasury, paid the debt obligation, within 3 days of receiving the demand for payment, accordingly as required by various laws, which I will not add at this moment due to space. The problem is that when it came time to complete the purchase agreement after funds were dispersed & in WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE possession for the purchase of the specific Cadillac truck for my consumer usage & benefit as I am the beneficiary for the use of my credit, WILLIS AUTO/*******************************, finance director, is refusing to complete the purchase order and provide me with the vehicle.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I am giving notice that WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE is hereby acting in dishonor. Furthermore, the purchase of the title of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV, VIN #***************** was a commercial purchase which adheres to the code(s) of law regarding the ****** (uniform commercial code), which every state adheres to for commerce/commercial transactions and I would also like to note that the the purchase/acquiring of the title for 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV, VIN#***************** was not a personal purchase. Moreover, a presentment was given to I, **************************************;********, the original creditor and lender, by you, WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE, borrower/debtor, and I gave written authorization for the purchase of the title to the vehicle, my identification, and then I tendered payment to you, by providing WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE an endorsed presentation sheet to be presented to the US TREASURY, in which that presentment sheet is to be utilized as a instrument to communicate that there is a debt obligation in the amount of $87,963.00, which the presentment sheet is made payable on demand to release the credit(s), to pay the debt that is currently an outstanding balance with your company for the purchase of the title of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV, VIN #*****************. Since you, WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE, claim to have first hand knowledge of there not being any funds/credit(s) available for the purchase of the title the vehicle and WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE does not want to conduct business with I, *************************** *****;********, for that very reason, please provide I, *************************** *****;********, with a certified notarial protest completed by a notary republic of IOWA (stamped and certified with notary stamp) that can attest to the actual dishonor of the instrument/presentation sheet/ bill of exchange that was presented to the US Treasury, which is in WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE possession, attesting that the instrument/ bill of exchange was actually presented to the US TREASURY and that funds were insufficient in regards to the purchase for acquiring the title of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV. I am in need of that for my receipt of proof for my records, for my documentation, and lastly for my verification for the reason that it is very significant information in regards to this matter. Once I receive the certified notarial protest completed by a IOWA notary republic, I will be more than happy to NOT conduct business with WILLIS AUTOMOTIVE.
Sincerely,
*****************************Initial Complaint

We purchased a vehicle from Willis in November 2022 in reliance on material misrepresentations about the vehicle, including but not limited to that it had been fully inspected and had no problems with its air conditioning or engine. The vehicle never had a properly working air condition system, has been in the shop for one problem or another every other month since we purchased it, and now the engine has failed. Willis authorized another shop? ***************** ******** to perform more than $4000 worth of work on the engine without our authorization. Willis told us the cost would be $1200 when the estimate from ******* was actually $4000. We didn't know this, and had we, we would've taken a different course. Even after that work was performed, the vehicle still doesn't drive.Business Response

We will not be taking any action with this. Willis Automotive has documentation of us sending the customer the entire estimate. The customer approved the work and therefore owe ***************** ******* the balance due.Customer Answer

Complaint: 21621639
I am rejecting this response because:We did not authorize Willis to approve ******* to make repairs in an amount greater than $1200. My wife and I each spoke on the phone with ***************, from Willis, who informed both of us that the repairs would cost approximately $1200. I spoke to ***, who asked me if I authorized ******* to proceed with repairs in the amount of approximately $1200. I said yes to that amount. I did not say yes to any other amount. I was not informed of any other possible amount.
I believe ******* will verify that Willis misrepresented the price of the repairs.
Willis did not have actual or apparent authority to perform repairs or authorize another to perform repairs on our vehicle in an amount greater than $1200.
I did not expect Willis to correct their misrepresentation, which we relied upon to our financial detriment, as it seems to be a pattern of practice with this company.
Sincerely,

In Approximately September of 2022. I purchased a pre-owned *** from the Willis campus. The vehicle came with problems, starting with a oil leak that was leaking on the belt. The vehicle was eventually put in the Willis Mechanic for repairs. Most was covered by warranty. Cost me $100 deductible. Also my hood latch needed replacement. No leaks, hood latch "fixed"A few months down the road my vehicle started to leak coolant. Was told it was reservoir and needed correcting for an oil leak (mind you, the oil leak was just repaired). Said oil leak repair would cost over 1k and coolant reservoir $400. I paid for the reservoir. My car came back leaking oil everywhere (it was not doing that when I dropped it off). Here we are 12.12.2023 and my hood latch that Willis repaired broke off.The problem is that I had all these repairs completed and within a few months they are back to square one. These repairs were patch work. My vehicle is leaking oil again, leaking coolant again and the same latch that was broken is broke again. When I've called to make an appointment, they have insisted that I be charged for a problem that's similar but new. Although it's obviously the same problems that they should have repaired. Even in one instance the oil leak only showing up after it was taken in for my coolant reservoir. It was "fixed".Not only did they sell me a shabby vehicle, they have milked me for repairs. That they never completely fixed. If it was fixed, I would not be looking at the same identical problems, I initially took the vehicle in for.Business Response

Purchased a 2011 ***** Equinox on 10/31/22. Unbeknownst to me the vehicle had a major class action lawsuit against GM for the engine problems. My vehicle is now operational. The engine has a major oil leak inside the engine, no compression, no timing gears. This major of a problem requires an entirely new engine. This vehicle should never have been sold with any type of problem like this, and any car dealership would have known about this lawsuit if the service department had done their service on the vehicle as they claim they do. I am out of a vehicle that I have only driven less than 3 months, and have an auto loan for, and no way of repairing the vehicle. The car dealership stated that out of the goodness of their heart they will give me $6,000, and I give them the vehicle, however, $4,500 remains on the auto loan to be paid off. The vehicle had to be towed to ********* who has not charged me any diagnostic fees as of yet. They have done their diagnosis on the vehicle without digging into it yet, because of the history of the 2011 ***** Equinox. It is sitting on their lot awaiting it to be towed off.Business Response
