$50 fee seemed high for a withdrawal, they actually took $150. Ridiculous. Plus the website is frustrating. You can't check your balance without first going through all their attempts to have to roll in other funds- every time you log in.

First time for a 401k and getting a direct rollover or any information out of this company makes me want to **** start a 12 gauge. They have hung up on me twice and have given 0 assistance in getting my money to where it is suppose to go. I have been fighting with them for 2 months on a direct rollover and I promise you that it would be a better use of your time to pull your teeth out. Absolutely avoid this company at all costs or you may just have your money in limbo while wire transfer fees run down your account. Thank ****** for the live chat team with **** Digital Investor helping me deal with this terrible group.

I received a letter saying I needed to direct my retirement with this company by end of Nov. I called on Nov 18 and spoke with representative of what I wanted to do. I wanted to convert the regular *** and merge it with my **** ***, then the ONE check sent to my Fidelity **** *** by mail. Supposedly the call was recorded and I verified that there was a 50 fee for the conversion and a 50 fee to mail a check to fidelity. I got a notice the pretax *** and the **** *** checks were sent to my Fidelity account. When I called to find out why when I clearly stated I wanted the pretax converted to the **** and have one check sent, they said they would look into it and review the phone call and give me a phone call. I got an email stating they needed more information and please call. I called and they stated they reviewed the phone call on the Nov 18 and they stated that was not what was said- LIARS. I remember the phone call clearly and it is obvious they are a very shady company with FRAUD. I agreed to pay 50 for the conversion and 50 to send ONE check to Fidelity. Please record all your calls with this company and remember they LIE .

Avoid this place. I dont get why the service is so terrible. Ive spent months calling and sending in documentation only for no one to assist me. Each person I talk to gives misinformation. Dont care about your situation. This company is here to hold money and they will hold it until you fight and scrap for every dollar. Just dont do it.

Takes money from employees/ employers, then doesn't disclose profit/ loss statement history report for all time history or edited date spans. Isn't the point of a retirement account to track your progress and elect different elections to try to maximize your returns? How are you supposed to do this if you can only review the past 2 years or by 92 days at a time? This is absolutely brutal, and quite honestly a deal breaker and I will be moving my accounts elsewhere not to have to deal with calling to get a paper copy of my statements sent to my house. Why do I feel those wont have the information I am seeking either? I mean isn't the most important part tracking account profitability??? If you can't, then why have the account? All I want to know is, is or is this not making more than 7%, otherwise I will put it elsewhere. For a company to be in retirement investment and not disclose the most relevant and important characteristic and metric for my money, they simply are hiding loses. I want to know which ones, how much, and why? If I'm losing money, it's LEGALLY their responsibility to disclose that information and by hiding it in my opinion they are breaking the law for an investment firm. Id give a zero if I could.

I recently switched jobs. I received notification from Principal about my options and opted for a cash out withdrawal, sending in the appropriate paperwork (there is no option to withdraw online). I received an email to call in and did so. I was put on hold for 43 minutes. I've worked in call centers for debt collection and health insurance claims and know that it is considered very bad protocol to put a customer on hold and not check back in with them at all for the better part of an hour. Eventually, not knowing what was going on with the connection, I hung up. I then immediately called back in and was immediately put in a call queue.I've done what was required of me and am still waiting on the money that I earned through my job. I'm dismayed that my former employer decided to have their retirement accounts managed by a bunch of thieves.

I actually had an argument with ******* over the phone 3 times as he disrespected me and refused to transfer to management, claiming he didn't know how to transfer calls. I continued calling him back every time he would eventually transfer me to voicemail and he would answer and insult me. The employees are out of control.

Trying to get a hardship withdrawal to build a house and it has been nothing but a headache. My husband has explained every document line for line yet they continue to have the same questions thats in black and white in front of them. Youre not allowed to talk to the document specialist only their customer service **** who make notes then never call you back. They cant seem to understand the documents such a waste of time to get access funds that should be relatively simple to gain access to.

Trying to get my account information is next to impossible. The webpage can't find my records and the call center cannot give me my account information because the security questions have to do with the prior company I worked for. The advice from Principal is to call my previous employer. Easier said then done!!! Previous employer is not great with communication, which is why I called Principal directly. Ask me other security questions or give me a way to access my account online. Horrible Experience

I've requested a distribution 3 separate times since June when the company I worked for went bankrupt. Principal has given me the "run-around", saying they are waiting for approval from a 3rd party administrator. After about a month or so of my distribution request under review, I have to resubmit the application online as if I never did. Again, this has happened 3 times now. I would not reccommend this investment company and I will be taking legal action.
