My name is ********************************* and I wish to file a complaint against Kendall Hunt Publishing Company for misleading me into a e-publication book deal. The book is called "Simple Approach" Bottom Line. I completed writing June 2023. On last week, I meet with GW, in a zoom meeting; to my dis*** I learned that my e-book would not be published unless there was a guaranteed number of books for any class I teach. First, I don't run a college and I cannot make them do anything. I am no longer teaching for ********************* and even at that time I was told the same thing that I am hearing from my current employer. Their policy is that ************************ has a full-time staff that does book adoption. I am an adjunct (part-time) and that would be a conflict of interest with ************************ any way. I would like to go back to the beginning, I was approached to write the e-text. Since I don't have access to the portal at ***, please forgive me if the name is incorrect. I believe her name was ********, but I am sure you can look that up because she got a promotion and moved on. She NEVER EXPLAINED, that when I finish the book it would have to be adopted by the school for which I am employed. Had a known that, I WOULD HAVE NEVER SPENT A YEAR ON THIS. This is nothing by a scam. I will never do this again. What can be done to rectify this situation so that at least what I have done won't be in vain? GW indicated there was a smaller publishing company that *** be able to get my book out there. Who is the person? I would like to talk to them. It is not fair to take my knowledge used to write this book and just drop it off in the sunset. There is nothing this institution can say to me right now. Sorry does not cut it. This is unprofessional and unconscionable that a publishing company would do this. The only memory I have is an e-book cover that was mailed to my home and a wooden flash drive. I would appreciate it if you make this right. I am extremely upset and in tears. The *** RW is unreachable. My emails keep bouncing back.

We have been in touch with ******* and have a call scheduled to get this resolved directly with her.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to as far as meeting is concerned. Since we have not discussed anything yet, I cannot agree this should be closed yet because I don't know what the resolution is going to be until we talk on Friday of this week.

      Sincerely,
