    Trying to get a refund from Precision of New Hampton has been a nightmare. I ordered a torque converter for my 1969 Mustang on May 20, 2024, but my transmission specialist immediately identified it as the wrong partwithout ever installing or using it. It shouldnt have been a problem, receiving wrong parts happens and usually isnt an issue just return the part and have the correct one sent out or have a full refund issued right?When I contacted Precision on July 15 to return it, their **** ******, falsely accused me of contaminating the part just by removing it from the box. They then devalued it by more than half, offering only a $300 refund on my $680 purchasean apparent tactic to avoid full refunds.I found out there are some other dissatisfied customers that have shared similar experiences, claiming Precision fabricates issues during their reinspections of returns to deny refunds or only issue partial refunds. To protect myself, I secured a signed affidavit from a transmission specialist confirming the part was never damaged or installed. After eight months of back-and-forth with Precision of New Hampton, I still have no resolution, no return label, and no refund beyond their unfair ******** an organizer of a few large cars and coffee events, Ive been warning my community about this company since June of 2024 leading some local shops to stop sourcing from them after hearing about my awful experience and reading my email exchange with representatives of the company. Now, a Detroit news station is considering covering my story, and I plan to involve an attorney after it airs to litigate the issue.
