The Osteostrong business closed its doors in January 2024. I previously reported an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account for $1,142.76 on February 9, 2024. This was resolved on March 13 after I reported this to my bank and they filed an Unauthorized Debit Form. I thought I was done with Osteostrong when, surprise!, another withdrawal was made on April 9, 2024, inexplicably for fifteen more dollars than the previous unauthorized withdrawal.I made it clear in correspondence with the business owner that I did not want this to happen again and here we are. There are many older, vulnerable people who were using this service who might not notice their money being siphoned from their credit cards or checking accounts. I want this to stop and am more than frustrated at this point.

OsteoStrong is a franchised facility which uses specific equipment to strengthen bones. One of the primary target groups is elderly people with osteopenia/osteoporosis. Many of them live on fixed incomes and are vulnerable for a variety of reasons including dementia.I went for my regular weekly appointment in January, 2024 to discover the doors locked and the lights out with no explanation. Apparently some, but not all, people had been informed. The business phone has been "temporarily disconnected" for months. On February 8, an automatic withdrawal of $1,142 was made from my checking account. I cannot be the only person affected by this but I may be one of a small group that is capable of filing an electronic complaint. I have contacted my bank and will proceed as necessary per their instructions, but I worry for all of the other elderly people who may be in the same situation. Some people have received notification that the owner is looking for a new franchisee after the brand refused to take over the location and run it. They do not respond to emails and the phone is still disconnected. I am not sure of the total number of people affected but it could be over 100.. This is no way to run a business and I consider the February 8 withdrawal of $1,142 to be fraud. The owner's name is ******** but I have never met them and do not even know their first name. I always dealt with the business manager, ******.

I am rejecting this response because:
The money was withdrawn from my checking account on February 8, 2024 after the business was closed. I received a refund to my account on March 13 because I went to my bank and they filed an unauthorized withdrawal form. While the business owner was forced to comply with my request and I consider the matter to be financially resolved, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will try to avoid doing business with this individual in the future.
    Sincerely,
