      Worst bank ever!
I had a checking account with them, as did my adult daughter (legal adult). Eventually we moved out of state and began finding a new bank (veridian is not in our new state of residence). after a short time of our accounts sitting dormant and low on funds, some silly charge (like netflix or something) billed to my daughters account (an oversight on her getting everything transferred). Veridian contacted her via mail for her to contact them about a bunce of fees she owed. She contacted them only to learn that a small charge had gone through and Veridian tacked a bunch of charges on immediately, then more in a couple days....
My daughter informed their personnel that she could drive over there on her next payday and clear the balance but they were not impressed. A few days later i logged in to my online banking to find that Veridian had Emptied the balance in My Account (towards her debt) and closed my account without even notifying me. The bank has since Reported the debt on My Credit and my credit score has tanked because of this. Stark Collections is the agency who is handling the Fraudulent claim against me and my credit. Their only response is "Pay your daughters debt and we'll remove it"..........

Dear *****,Thank you for providing your feedback about the situation with your charged off account. We take your concerns seriously and have completed a thorough review of the situation. We can confirm you were a joint owner on the account that was charged off. Section 3(c) of Veridians Membership and Account Agreement states that if a joint account is overdrawn, the owners, jointly and severally, are liable to us for any returned item, overdraft, or unpaid amount and for any related fees and charges, regardless of who initiated or benefited from the transaction. Because you were a joint owner of the account when it was overdrawn and charged off, you are both responsible for repayment. You are correct that when the account was charged off, your accounts were closed and the $6.41 remaining in your accounts was applied to the charged off balance. When an account is charged off, you are no longer allowed to hold accounts with Veridian. Several notices were sent in the mail to alert you of the negative balance and account closing. We will send you a more detailed explanation as well as supporting documents in the mail to further outline what occurred.Sincerely,Compliance Department Veridian Credit Union

Veridian is a complete joke, they dont send a way to mail payments, thier online payments if you follow thier instructions do not work and they just only say follow the instructions even though you tell them it does not work. Then heres the scam, the only way they leave you to make a car payment is to do a phone pay at $15 a month. Im so frustrated Im seriously considering buy a brand new car and then filing bankruptcy to be rid of veridian. Ill definately be warning people that dealer uses veridian and they should go elsewhere for thier car.

      Dear Harold,
Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. We are sorry to hear you were having trouble initiating a payment on Veridian’s Online Banking platform and that you were not aware of the option to mail a payment. We have reviewed this situation thoroughly and the results of our review will be mailed to you directly. We have also outlined some of our findings in this response.
On 02-22-2023, an “Auto Loan Payment Options Notice” was mailed to you. This notice included your first loan coupon, which contained the address and instructions to mail payments. There is no charge to mail a payment. The notice stated the rest of your loan coupons would be mailed soon. We confirmed with our third-party vendor that mails loan coupons that your coupons were mailed on 02-27-2023. This notice also provided detailed instructions on how to enroll in Online Banking and set up automatic payments from your financial institution.
We reviewed calls and secured messages from you. On 03-06-2023, you contacted Veridian to inform us you were having trouble enrolling in Online Banking. During that call, we discovered the email address provided to Veridian by the dealership was incorrect. The email address was updated, and you were able to successfully enroll in Online Banking.
When setting up your external account, there are two options. One is an “account aggregation” which is a view only option used to monitor your accounts at another financial institution. The other is to link your financial institution information to initiate an ACH transfer. You selected “account aggregation”, which will not allow you to initiate a funds transfer to move money. You sent a secured message to Veridian, and an employee provided information on how to set up an ACH transfer. As of the date of this response, the payment has posted to your loan.
On 04-03-2023, a Team Leader reached out to you by phone to ensure your concerns were heard and make sure you did not have any remaining questions about making your loan payments. She mailed you new loan coupons in case you did not receive the first set sent to you and is also resending the “Auto Loan Payment Options Notice” so you have documentation of all payment options going forward. We hope these actions address your concerns, and please feel free to reach out at any time if you have additional questions.
      Sincerely,
      Compliance Department

Your fraud department is horrible. Wells Fargo does much better and this is saying something. Our cards were stolen and you guys are like to bad. We reported them as soon as we find out. I currently have 9 accounts with your company. You would rather lose me as a client than try to help us work this out.

      Dear Riki,

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with the experience you had when filing a fraud dispute with Veridian. While we could not locate a dispute under your name, we did locate one under the name of the primary account owner. We have reviewed the situation and found the majority of the dispute is resolved. For the two charges that are still in a dispute status, we have escalated your concerns with our dispute team and the account owner should receive a response shortly. The Dispute Coordinator is monitoring the progress of the remaining dispute as well. Thank you for providing your feedback.

      Sincerely,

      Compliance Department
