In March or 2024 I agreed to purchase a 2011 GMC Sierra ****** truck from Nissan of Lewiston of Lewiston, *****. I told them I did I did not want the extended warranty, and that I agreed to the purchase price of $14,000 and $17,000 trade in on my 2010 Chevrolet Silverado. I signed paperwork and later learned that they had included the extended warranty that I did not want. I wish to have the extended warranty removed.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/14/2024

************* has come back in to voice his concerns about the paperwork and warranty.  He was showed where he had signed multiple times with his concerns.  We also discussed how he came in, left and returned that afternoon to look at the pickup that he purchased.  He was informed that he does not have to purchase the extended warranty, they are optional.  We also asked why he never called us with his concerns.  We reminded him that he came back in on Monday morning to grab his snow tires and rims that we dismantled for him.  At that time, he had no complaints or concerns.  We did cancel his warranty and requested a refund from the Warranty company.  We informed him that the credit union will be receiving the cancellation in approximately 4-5 weeks.  I hope he understood, he was voicing that he is losing memory and is frustrated with multiple friends passing recently.  We tried to explain and solve this issue the best we could.

I received a flyer advertising for Nissan of Lewiston. Their event called win, big and save big monopoly game. On the flyer the very front of it has a monopoly area with three rolls of pulltabs. It says pulltabs. If you match three in a row on any one of these three lines, you win on the same piece of paper it shows the symbols, and what amounts are equal to the symbols if they are matched with a confirmation code and a phone number it clearly states to play lift tabs on card. If you match three symbols in a row you win and it says then proceed to Nissan of Lewiston during event times to claim your prize. I did the game on the flyer and I ended up in game two matching three red houses and the prize legend says three red houses equals $1000 I called in to the number provided with the confirmation number and it did say that yes I had one. It says confirmation code determines prize awarded on the flyer. If you match three symbols your guaranteed prize recipient bring your flyer to the event headquarters. to verify your prize. I did call and it did confirm that yes I had won a prize. Every time I tried to scan the ** code. Nothing came up, but the confirmation was by phone when I called in the phone number that was provided on the back and flyer it states that you have to bring it in to determine if you won ****** **** **** or thousand dollars cash or 3 $ 1 dollar ID scratch offs with a chance to win up to $**** as a consolation prize, then states odds of winning $****** cash are 1:20,000 $**** cash 1:20,000 $**** cash 1:20,000 and $1000 cash are 1:20,000 and it says $3 one dollar ID scratch offs $3 value are 19,996:20,000. my understanding that would be one winner for each one of those prizes. The front of the flyer to my understanding clearly shows three red houses = win and next to the prize. Legend, it shows three red houses and theres $1000 cash there. When I called to confirm at the dealership they claimed it was not that amount. False advertising & misleading.

Nissan is doing a "12 Days of Christmas" lottery type game. They mailed "lottery" tickets out to people all around. I received one. On 12/07/22 i opened my ticket and pulled the tabs to see if i won. It said I won $1000. In the fine print, it says that your winning ate not based on what the tabs say and are based on your activation code instead. I called Nissan and gave them my activation code. Their exact words to me were "Yes that activation code won a cash prize". And they told me to be in at a certain time to be compensated. I knew when i saw that I won, it wasnt likely. Which is why i called them directly to ask. They confirmed i won THE CASH PRIZE. When i got there, on 12/08/22 at 3:45pm, they took my information and tried to sell me a car. I declined. Then they took me over to be "compensated". Except they didnt give me the cash they had told me over the phone that i won. They had me pick an envelope from their christmas tree to then see what my prize will be. Instead of the $1000 they told me i was getting, i got 3 $1 coins. When i questioned them about this and told them what I was told on the phone, they said this is US currency. Its complete fraud and illegal. They took the ticket I was mailed so I am unable to provide pictures of it.
