Flex Moving Company moved my furniture from **********, ** to **********,** on June 21, 2023. Once my furniture was delivered I had several pieces of ***** broken and my dining room table chipped as well as an end table. My brand new washer and dryer was scratched during the move. A glass shelf in my China cabinet was broken and i had to pay $82.00 to have it repaired. I filed a claim that totalled $200 but they refuse to only pay the $82 for the shelf. They charged me $12,000 to move which was outrageous and I didn't find out until days before the move. I've contacted the owner on my payment and they still haven't paid me. I've been trying to contact the company but they claim now that my call can't be completed. I've been going through this since September of 2023 and haven't been able to reach anyone from this company.Initial Complaint

Contract FX6010465 dated 7/13/23 arranged by ************** Interiors on behalf of our client *****************************. Scheduled Pickup: 7/19-7/20/2023 Actual Pickup: 7/21/2023 Delivery: 8/18/2023 Amount Paid: $2155.02 Business Commitment: to provide expert advice and guidance throughout the moving process from a dedicated Move Manager.Mission Stated on Website: to provide exceptional moving services that exceed our customers expectations and ensure a stress-free transition. With a commitment to professionalism, efficiency, and utmost care, we aim to deliver reliable and tailored moving solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. and leaving you with a positive and memorable experience Nature of Dispute: Extensive damage to shipped items, late delivery, and lack of communication Pickup was a day late and no moving paperwork was left; no record of carrier DOT# was provided. Numerous attempts to contact mover and locate furniture went unanswered. We, NOT Flex, located the furniture and arranged delivery. Delivered 8/18, a week later than contracted. All but two items damaged on receipt. Clearly the items were mishandled and abused in transit and storage. None was received in same condition or packaging as it when it left. The 12x15 rug was folded in half causing unrepairable stretching damage. Cost to repair and replace furniture and lamps exceeds $1,500. Cost to replace damaged rug is over $10,000.Flex has been unresponsive to all attempts to contact both during and after the moving process. Our certified letter to the principal, ********************, was returned. We have filed a claim, which wont begin to cover the damage to the items. We honestly dont believe we got the service we paid for and believe our client is *********** more than the $.60 per pound insurance given the shoddy treatment of the furniture and expect full restitution for the damages. We paid this company 6,511$ to deliver our stuff from ****, ** to ******* **. They said it'll take 7 to 14 days to arrive. The transaction was made in 8/19/23. Today is 9/8/23 and we still don't have our stuff. They still expect me to pay a additional 2000$. We still don't have an update. We contacted them by text, email, phone number. Nothing. This company is a total scam. It feels like my belongings are being held hostage. Including all my military equipment. At this point I just want my stuff back. Please do not trust this company at any circumstances. They are not flexible.Initial Complaint

Flex moving picked up my furniture in the ******* area on July ************************************ ******** ******** with a promise that we would receive our furniture in *********** within **** business days. Its august 7 and still no date for pickup from storage or delivery. Flex Moving charged more than double the estimate when they picked up our furniture and has held our furniture hostage in a storage area even though I paid the extra amount. The business does not answer their phones. Calls go directly to relocation nation. We are trying to make arrangements to get a reputable company to pick up our furniture from storage which will cost us terribly HELP!!!!!Initial Complaint

On 6/26 this company came to pick up our things in ******** to be transported to ********. Upon pickup the man who seemed to be in charge of the move had told us we needed to get to ******** fast to make sure we were there to get our things as it would be shipped out the very next day. We made it to our destination 2 days later and I had even made arrangements for a member of my family to be there to receive my items. We heard nothing so we called a week later. The man who was in charge of the move told us we could call him at any point in the move with questions. We have called him several times with no response. We call the company number and it says all reps are busy and to leave a message calls are not returned. The official time to receive my things on the contract said **** business days. We are now on the 14th business day and I have not heard anything and am unable to get any info from the company. I fear I have been scammed not only for the money I've already spent on the move (roughly $1200) but also to not get my belongings. There are many priceless things we wished to move that are irreplaceable. I was told up to 14 business days from my first available delivery date of 7/02. It is now 7/21 and have heard nothing. This is very concerning and if I don't hear something soon I will be forced to file a police report as well as contact my credit card company for a refund. Not to mention that when the movers came to ***************** one of them used my restroom to p*** and asked if we had any extra marijuana after they had already completed moving all my things into the truck which was a uhaul truck by the way. Very unprofessional. This is my first time ever moving across country so I didn't know what to expect but Im Very much hoping I have not been scammed.Initial Complaint

This company was hired through a Broker EXTRA SPACE MOVING AND STORAGE) On 6/7/2023 the verification of day move day was set by Flex for 6/11/2023 . This was the start of issues: NO CALL NO SHOW! The next day a UHaul showed up, I was told an 18 ******* was to be used in Contract. . There were no moving blankets whatsoever, there were 6 kitchen boxes, shrink and tape and some sheets of paper. My supplies of boxes and paper on a roll were used . I paid for packing of remainder of kitchen, and some items in the garage basement .I ended up doing most of the packing myself. At one point the helper was using sheets of paper towels between antique dishes. The ******* arrived and told me he was doing the job as a favor, and basically was not wanting to be there. He stated this several times. He asked me for cash less than 5 minutes of arrival to pay some individual that pulled up in the yard, proceeded to ask for a phone charger . The entire time during the move was filled with nonprofessional conduct. Asking for specific drinks, saying he was hungry and feeling faint and complaining of knee pain from a recent surgery. The furniture was not even shrink wrapped on most pieces and what was done was not acceptable by any standards. Especially a job of over $11,000.00 A dresser was dropped and completely destroyed. It was not even covered whatsoever. I was kept busy running with this ******* non stop from having to go through house to ask about what goes and what does not. I had paper signs on most items. . . I contacted the broker and told them the issues as well as the fact that the materials I paid for were not there . Next day,some materials ( paper blankets arrived) they did not use them to ******************* just a mirror, grandfather clock and curio. They did not follow protocol in storage units **** cu ft and **** cu ft in property . Contacted several times refused to rectify situation of storage units and unwrapped disassembled items. Flex moving inc out of ****** ******** packed are household belongs on June 2 2023 from ******* ** to deliver to ********** **** and we have not heard from them estimate delivery says June 5. contact us this company has not tried to contact us. We reached out to them several times each time they say theres nobody to take their working on it. Ive already paid this company 600 plus I paid 800 to United pro van line. Ive already paid $1400. I think these two companies are scamming me and I need help nobody will give me a direct answer. Neither company will call me back. I called the companies over 70 times in the last 2 1/2 weeks, I need my daughter stuff ASAP. Flex moving income says its out of *************** but then I have another phone number for *******. I will send a picture of the truck that loaded my daughters furniture in The Invoice can somebody please help us I think were getting the runaround and I cant afford to lose my daughters belongings and be out $1400 , they said I have to wait 30 days Im not waiting 30 days my daughter sleeping on the floor with nothing for 2 1/2 weeks now if you can please call me back at ****** Point As ********.
