    New roof was installed back in 02/2024. & job has not been finished. Cutters were placed incorrectly, siding of the house was not placed back correctly and is falling off the house. Chimney was also suppose to be finished and was not. I was advised to purchase items to finish chimney, which I did, and they will return to finish but never did. I've called multiple times and was told they were coming out and never did.

    Windy City stated they will go fix repairs on Saturday 01/18 & they never showed.
    I called them again and they reported they will come out Friday, 01/24.

    On *********************************** a check for my windstorm loss. The check wasn't paid, because the adjuster of Windy City wasn't longer working with them. They sent another adjuster on March 2023. We sign a contract with a specific note I won't pay any money out of my pocket because of the delay in my ******** this time the roof was really damage and we had animals coming in.The insurance sent the check again, They got the check, I had to called multiple times and I received the same answers It's too hot It's too cold We don't have people available right now.The worker is hurt.On September 2024 I spoke with ***** she clarified that I had two options to paid $1,000 dls of deductible or paid 35% of the $4,676.83 (the amount of the claim).I paid the $1,000.Same excuses to start the job.On September , All state informed me that my insurance will be terminated because I hadn't acted on their recommendations.I called Windy City Same answers.On October 11 I went to Windy city in person with the letter, I had a video of ***** refusing to sign the copy of the non renewal. But she left a voicemail.On October 16 the roofer finished the job , the job itself was unacceptable. The excuse was the money wasn't enough. I just want to let know everyone who needs a roof repair, don't work with Windy City.

    Allstate canceled my insurance. 

    This job was honestly unacceptable. 

    I need this to be fix as soon as posible or refund my money to get it done.

    I can't believe the cost of this was almost $6,000.00 dls 

    I want to alert people don't work with them they are a very dishonest company

    Windy City Construction is a scam. Our insurance company (QBE) paid for our roof repair in August 2023, and we selected our shingles, we paid our deductible in November 2023, to date we cannot get a date on when the job will begin. Windy City is holding us hostage, if we cancel the contract, we will lose 30%, Windy City (MAFIA TACTICS) is now claiming they don't have the funding from the insurance company to complete the job leaving us with a damaged roof as they try to strong arm the insurance company, initial cost for was right at 10k, they later raised the cost of repair to 24k, insurance refused to pay leaving us being held hostage by Windy City. I have supporting documents as proof. I'm sure others in the area have complained about these tactics, we're not the only customers who have been scammed, held hostage to a bogus contract. We shouldn't have to hire an attorney to get the work done or a full refund. After QBE paid Windy City, they tried to get an additional 17k from QBE, insurance refused to pay, Windy City won't honor the agreement, do any repairs and REFUSE TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT THEY CAN'T/WON'T HONOR, we need the work done, damage is getting worse over time. PLEASE INTERVENE AND HELP US GET A REFUND.

    Contract for job construction(roof), .they told me ,now not doing inside.they will not give me a release letter.so insurance can deal with me not roofers

    Hi Good Evening 

    Based on what Travels and the scope of work the insurance company only covered Her Roof Replacement. Our company completed work last year and the claim was paid and closed. The insurance stated the siding was an Maintenace issue and the insurance needs to keep up with wear and tear. Thank you!

    I signed a contract with Windy City Construction Group to replace my roof. Windy city stated the insurance check for ******** was not enough to replace my roof. After a discussion we disagreed, and they state that they will send be a check less 30% of the check that signed over to them. They put a check in my mailbox for 4,,333.49, which is more than 30% of 8478.49. 30% of that amount is 2543,58.

    Our accounting is very accurate The total amount that Windy City settled with the insurance was $13,816.01 We cut ***************************** a check right away for $4,333.49 the reason why that amount is low is because his insurance company gave him a bad policy which included NON-RECOVERY money once job is completed of -$2.698.36 & Deductible of -$2,640.00 witch, we can't replace roof with half of the payments from the insurance we would be short $5,338.36 This can be frustrating for homeowners our firm had great results just bad policy which should be taken up with the insurance agent that give ***** this policy. We can waive our fee if homeowner would like to finance the difference that's being taken out of the scope of work. Please reach out to our Team with any further questions.

    No transaction ever made. Storm June, 13, 2022 looked up company online. Windy City Construction. My husband spoke to a man by the name of *********. ** came to my home around June 14th (i believe) his add said FREE Roof Inspections. That was literally the last time we spoke to or hear from the company. We'll he pops up on August 1st telling me that he is coming to start working on my property and tarping my house. It literally rained in my house on June 15th because of the storm and its August and he's just now coming no sir. ** disrespted me, on the phone told me he wasn't going to speak to me. ** was doing work anyway plus I don't make any decisions my husband does. I told him my husband isn't the owner I am so I didn't authorize anyone to do work. I got home call him back he told us he was working on our house since June and all the time between he was too busy to contact us. But I stressed to him that you can't do work if you aren't authorized and we already have a company that is doing the work. ** balled us out and told us that we will be working with his company doesn't matter what we say. Either he leaves us alone or I will be filing a lawsuit against him and the company. I never authorized the company to do anything because I was at work. I had to leave work today 8/9/22 because I wanted to make sure that no one was doing anything underhanded to my home or family. This is a very scary situation and I wanted it resolved immediately. It's causing to much emotional stress on me.

    Mac Our Public adjuster manager went out to meet this homower that had storm damage to property. We Filed the claim on behalf of the insured. We took photos and even went inside the home. The homeowner claimed she never met us. We have all the docs and contracts that were signed by the homeowner. We are entitled to 30% percent unless we do the work. Windy City has never received any payments from insurance on this claim. We wrote estimates and met with insurance adjusters and never compensated. We have not pursued this matter with our attorneys yet.
