      I am a student at ********** ** ******** ********
      Apartments opened up for leasing last week. Apartments go quickly.
      My roommates and I (****** ****, ******* *******, ******** ******) started our search immediately. We found a place. The online price was $775 person. At that time we did the online application. However, the confirmation price changed to $825. Three received a response that night. One application was accepted but it took an additional day.
      Applications were filed Wednesday night (Sept 27: 9:30pm). The application few was $52 per person.

      Once all applications were accepted, they we to the office in Friday Sept 29, in the morning, They told us there was nobody we could talk to. We came back in the afternoon. When finally talking with someone we were told our application expired. In small print and hidden it said they had 24 hours but it took longer than that for total approval.

      Apartments were not available. They would not honor the price on another apartment complex. They would not return the application fee. Apartment really were not available. There was now a 200 person wait list. The Academy of Campustown was collecting nonrefundable application fees for apartments that may not available.

      Unfortunately our current apartment is no longer available. We are struggling to find a place to live. It’s a lot of stress during a stressful time (Midterms)

      What we want
      • The return of the application fee to all of us
      • The Academy of Campustown to pay the difference for all of us to live in an equivalent apartment. That includes size, location and facilities (e.g. health club lounge). Academy of Campustown would pay any cancelation fees if we sign a lease before a BBB resolution.
      • Investigate the application fees for other students,
      • Investigate why price online and the actual price being charged (at the same time) is higher. Bait & switch
