While using the Perkspot portal from my job for the first timelooking for cancellation information, specifically trying to locate information about transferring a reservation to another location (my mistake) which I had called about moments before; I inadvertently cancelled the non-refundable booking after clicking a link on the page that provided NO WARNING that this was an irreversible, destructive actioninstantly cancelling my $768 booking (PerkSpot's mistake/poor UX). Other links to the left and right provided additional context or popped up a modal. The browse UI is no different or better than most other booking sites; however, once in the order management UI, it's sparselacking context, standard destructive action patterns for financial actions, and altogether not up to par. I called the help line IMMEDIATELY, and they essentially pointed fingers at the hotel. I then immediately called the hotel (which was hostile, as if I was trying to get over on them) and pointed back at PerkSpot, but was the first to inform me that my transaction was actually through Expedia, whom I would have NEVER used with full knowledge, and it was not disclosed prominentlyif at allduring my browse for accommodations. I then tried contacting Expedia, but my PerkSpot confirmation number was not accepted to retrieve information. I spent the next two days calling back and forth, trying to get exact information. The hotel was willing to reinstate, but they needed contact from who I booked through. PerkSpot would create a case, but they did not have an option for reinstatementonly refundand very tersely let me know that I would not be speaking to Expedia because I was PerkSpots customer. I gave ********************** agent the Asst ** to the hotel's phone number to speak directly, since their case never actually reached her. I was simply trying to book a staycation for my mom's 67th birthday so she could attend her first concert in nearly 40 years with her college best friend.Initial Complaint

Perkspot deactivated my account and is refusing to transfer my earned rewards points. Their reason for deactivating the account is 'security purposes'. They are intentionally doing this to avoid providing rewards points.Initial Complaint

Today, January 15th, as I was on a website a new tab popped up with Perkspot webpage in front of my website. I did not open a new tab or search this company. It appeared on its own on my chrome tab. The same with my husband earlier this morning. I have never heard of this company nor have I searched for it. How can someone have access to my computer?? This is hijacking.Business Response

We are very sorry for the confusion and concern experienced by the customer, which was caused by the unexpected pop-up tab from PerkSpot. PerkSpot is a discount program that provides members access to various offers, typically through their employer or membership organization. In this case, it does appear that the customer has an account which was created on their behalf by an organization they are associated with.
We understand that the unexpected appearance of a new tab can be concerning. However, our records indicate that the customer has received promotional emails from PerkSpot and has engaged with some of these communications in the past. This may have resulted in the customer seeing ******************************** content in their Chrome browser, which is a feature designed to notify PerkSpot members of available discounts while shopping, and they may have inadvertently clicked on this content. We take the privacy and security of our members very seriously and want to assure you that there has been no breach of personal information. If the customer wishes to deactivate their ********************** account or needs any further clarification, our customer support team is happy to help with this. I purchased tickets for ******** ******* Oct 7 th 2024 . For the amount of ****** I never received any tickets. They were never available. I tryed to contact Perk spot and I got no response!!I would like my money back!!I want to report this to so it want happened to anyone else! We take customer feedback seriously and strive to address any issues that may arise. To clarify, PerkSpot Live operates as a separate entity from PerkSpot. PerkSpot members have access to discounted event tickets through their discount portal via PerkSpot Live, but we do not directly handle ticket sales or fulfillment.We contacted PerkSpot Live on behalf of the customer to learn more details about what had occurred. In this case, we were informed that the customer reached out to ********************** Live requesting a price adjustment after the performer announced a discount for hurricane relief efforts. PerkSpot Live explained their policy at the time that they do not offer price adjustments on previously purchased tickets. Following this communication, the customer initiated a dispute with their bank, citing Product unsatisfactory. Upon investigation, PerkSpot Live confirmed that the customer had received the tickets via Ticketmaster links, which were made available to them. They also provided evidence supporting this, indicating that the tickets were delivered as promised.We understand that the customer may have been dissatisfied with the outcome regarding the price adjustment; however, we did confirm with PerkSpot Live that the tickets were provided as per the transaction agreement. PerkSpot (or PerkSpotlive) is a secondary ticket marketplace. I purchased tickets from them on 10/19/2024 for a concert expected to occur on 10/27/2024. When I purchased the tickets they only guaranteed they would attempt to get the tickets and this a refund would be issued if they could not guarantee the tickets I requested. The concert was postponed prior to me receiving the tickets. Therefore I have no guarantee of the tickets. I reached out and the company is refusing to refund my order, arguing that they have a no refund policy even though failure to deliver tickets falls under this policy. We made hotel reservations for May 23 -26 with this company. My employment offers this so we thought it would be reliable and legitimate. It clearly was not. We had a major problem at the hotel and the owners agreed to a full refund of the entire stay. This was Friday may 24. We were never told we needed to reach out to perk spot. The owner told us more than once it was handled. We contacted perk sport pm Tuesday may 28 to follow up and were told they needed to speak to the hotel. They were being rude and gave no other information. I called again the next day, Wednesday may 29 and was told I needed to have opened a case. For the last five days no one has given me that information and it was nowhere on their website. I was informed it would take five to seven days from that date to receive any type of refund. We are on day six since that conversation and still no refund..we were lied to from the beginning with this company and every employee was rude and refused to do more than the script required. I have made a reservation for the dates of 12/11-12/15 for the price of ****** at the ******************************** hotel. After given misleading information about the requirements to check in under the age of 21, i contacted the hotel to try to get a refund and they will not allow one. I needed this hotel for some important doctor ************* however if i couldnt check in to the hotel i was going to get a refund and go somewhere else to stay. To whom it may concern, My name is ***********************,I had the unfortunate experience of booking a last minute stay at Red Roof Inn *******************************************************. room 334 on October 23,2022 staying one night and checking out on October 24, 2022. This hotel was not up to par as we saw roaches in our room while there. The ceiling had patch work not sure if there was a leak or something and the bathroom was horrible. I did not feel safe there as the police was called at least two times while I was there. This place is infested with roaches and fleas because they also allow pets. The pets were not the problem but the roaches and fleas as well as rooms and hallways were looking really bad. I will say the people were really nice there and that was it. I need someone to contact me about a refund I could not sleep for fear they would crawl on me. Not sure how anyone could stay there as it is absolutely horrible and I was there with my kids. I see a lot of the reviews talking about how bad this particular hotel is, it's really disgusting. I booked this room through Perk Spot and my total was $144.94 and it was a total nightmare.Business Response

This hotel vendor is the company that processes all payments for hotel reservations and has records of customer reservations. All customers agree to abide by the terms and conditions and cancellation policies imposed with respect to any completed hotel reservation. When this customer was making their reservation, they checked a box agreeing to the hotels cancellation policy stating that the reservation is non-refundable. While neither PerkSpot nor the hotel discount vendor is responsible for the condition of any hotel, all hotel listings display previous customer reviews so that customers can make an informed decision prior to completing a reservation.
Having said that, PerkSpots customer support team, as well as the customer support team of the hotel vendor are always happy to review any issues that *** arise, including requests for refunds. We strive to ensure that all customers have a positive experience with any of the deals available to them as a PerkSpot user. However, the customer did not contact either company for assistance. If the customer had reached out, the matter could have been reviewed and information regarding potentially receiving a refund could have been provided at that time. We would love the opportunity to address the issues raised in the customers complaint.
