      I honestly just don't trust this company when it comes to finances. There's no rational reason for there being so many billing issues: waste management not paid for three months, electricity bill constantly paid late, water and sewage company not paid for two months. And whenever you ask the owner about it, it's a lecture about "insurance risks" from non-board members looking up our bills. This entire year, and although our bylaws require quarterly meetings, the owners have never met anybody but the property manager. And that's just if we happen to be outside doing something completely separate and see a random stranger posting signs or walking by with a contractor. Urban Apple wants to be paid their monthly rate. After two months of complaining, their maintenance team will become timely. But they definitely have a "paid but not seen nor heard" vibe. And that wouldn't bother me one bit if the bills were paid. I'd trade every single solitary quarterly meeting and enjoy the tumbleweed, right along with $0 bill balances. But being quiet while we rack up late fees is NOT OK. I'm relieved that we have insurance and our heating bill is paid on time (now), but there are WAY too many questions about the state of our finances. And even after not paying bills as little as $400, they want to charge us $5K for deck repairs, which is not even on their website as a specialty. I wanted them to be the final property management company for us for the long haul and respected the opinion of a board member who was essential in hiring them, only for her to sell her place and move. With her gone, I'm growing more and more concerned that an INSURANCE CLAIM to make sure our money is being spent as it should be will be the end result.If you hire this company, make sure you have attentive board members who will monitor the bills. ALL OWNERS have a legal right to know how our condo assessments are being spent. The ***** board does not own our entire building.
