My experience with Freestyle Vinyl was nearly perfect until it wasn't. I had a very specific concept that I wanted to create and I needed it to be a double record. I could have picked from other companies (some that I know have great reviews) but I chose Freestyle Vinyl only because they offered a 2-record gatefold set (other companies would need to create records with separate packaging). In the future, I will be choosing one of the other companies instead. The records sound good but I feel like that was mainly because I did some audio mixing of my song choices to make sure I was giving them the best possible starting point. Others complain of audio quality. I made custom jackets and everything and it all arrived in high print quality and I was very pleased. The problem was that at a certain point, the audio just randomly switched from stereo to mono mid song and never went back to stereo. I tested several of my records on my player and it wasn't an issue so I know it was from their record. Also, an entire song was missing from one of the records. I told them and they sent a shipping label and I sent it back. They were able to verify their mistake and they created a new set of records and sent them back. On the replacement record a new problem was that one of the songs at the end of the side cuts out with about 20 seconds left. This problem didn't exist on the first set of records that they sent so I know it wasn't an issue with running over the 22 minute limit. They just messed up the spacing of the tracks. I emailed them back hoping they would rectify it a second time and they just ignored me. They were very responsive up to this point always answering my questions about designing the jacket or how to make sure audio quality was the best. I had 30 emails back and forth over a month period before I submitted my files. Then they just dropped off. The initial problems (1 star removed), the song cutting out and the lack of a response is the reason for 2 starsFreestyle Vinyl Llc

Hi **** - We've responded to every single one of your messages; perhaps a reply went to spam?We do not cut off tracks, so the most likely explanation is that your turntable has an auto-stop feature. This company has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a custom vinyl record cover for my wedding guest book and it came out beautifully, aside from one TINY smudge in the top left corner. It was small, I get that, but for a wedding I expected it to be pristine. I personally would not ship something that wasnt absolutely perfect. I reached out to the company to see if theyd be willing to replace it- I didnt expect that they would, given it was customized, but figured Id ask. What I didnt expect was the snarky, rude reply I received. They said As respectfully as possible. That is not anywhere close to a defect that we would replace a jacket for. I responded and said I understand that, its just disappointing because its clearly a printing smudge and its for our wedding, and was told You have to zoom in and enhance contrast like crazy just to see anything! In the image you had to zoom, yes, but that doesnt mean its not there and clearly visible in person. Also, a simple no would have been fine. Ive never been treated like that as a consumer. It was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. It felt like something you would text a friend, not a paying customer. I will never be purchasing from them again.Freestyle Vinyl Llc

Horrible record quality and no communication. They sent a record that was unlistenable, said they would inspect the record and send me a new one if necessary, but they sent back the exact same vinyl. No communication since then - very clear that they do not care about their customers and they understand that the quality of work they make is below standard. Filed for a refund with my credit card company, hoping that it will work.Freestyle Vinyl Llc

Cant not recommend this company enough. I ordered a custom gatefold for a vinyl. It arrived defective in 4 areas, with defects ranging between 2 and 5 inches. Their customer service was horrendous. Rude, condescending, didnt care I received a defective product, and refused to replace it. They then blocked me from communicating with them further. Avoid like the plague. Ah yes. Seeing a rating of F is all I need to know. My vinyl was great except one song was not entirely correct. Reached out to David from Freestyle. To summarize, I said “thank you for the record it’s great! but i need help with this issue I didn’t expect, I'm bummed, how can we go about this?” and was grossed out with the response. No apology, not a “hello, thanks for your order.” No professionalism. I was told “this is how we do things, the customer needs to be specific. Enjoy!” (the song version i got wasn’t the original studio recording. it was a secondary LIVE audience version.) I wasn’t even asking for a refund. I Just expected a little class which is the least a company can do for its customers who are confused/unsatisfied. But I was blamed & given no respect. I responded passive aggressively calling out his etiquette & said I will raise this with my cc company out of anger as i don’t stand for rude actions in life, no matter how big or small. He replied with sarcasm. I found the company’s social media and was sarcastic back in a few comments. I did delete these and apologized despite being wronged in my order and his responses. I got blocked which i expected but that’s okay, i was being a nuisance on IG. So I sent an apology, (while my anger was justified- I should have kept more collected.) In the email I stated he works hard, I appreciate his business, & requested for him to be a little more considerate and kind rather than allowing his personality to get in the way of his business. I wished him and his company a merry Christmas - despite his disrespect because he is human too. I received a short, ingenuous sarcastic reply. No surprise. This review is 100% accurate, & I left no detail out for arguing. Never order here. The worst type of businesses are the ones where the person behind ruins the product. I had planned to purchase my own vinyl as the one I got was a gift. Obviously I won’t do that with Freestyle. David, if I can be better- so can you.Freestyle Vinyl Llc

I purchased a custom record from Free Style Vinyl August 2024. Due to an error on my part, I failed to notify the vendor to ensure the record, a 45rpm 7" vinyl, was to have the normal US 1 1/2" center hole vs the England European style small hole as used on 12" LP's. When I contacted the company they basically told me there was nothing they could do and I would have to reorder a new record, which I was willing to do. However, since they had the digital file of the recording I attempted to get the record reproduced by ordering it over the phone to get it expedited. Employee "*****" was not willing to help and ended the communication. Subsequently the record I originally purchased has a "Hum" tone to it when playing. I wrote a review stating the aforementioned and also sent an email describing the hum tone. I received a sarcastic email from "*****" regarding my inability to read their website. This communication again was from "*****", whom at this point I believe to be a part time adolescent. I experienced poor quality and poor communication. You would seem to think a company would do their best to assist a customer in resolving an issue. This business should be flagged for their disregard for the customer and their poor customer service policies. ZERO stars I say!Freestyle Vinyl Llc

5 starsTHE BEST present I've ever given. I ordered my record in November and it arrived about a week before Christmas. My dad was blown away at the quality and couldn't believe it wasn't a mass-pressed record. My siblings and I compiled 12 tracks from his old tapes and CDs he had created back in the day, created our own custom jacket to go along with it, and created something he had only dreamed could be possible.Thank you ***** and Freestyle Vinyl team!Review fromMichael S

Freestyle Vinyl's website states that "7 inch records can hold 6 minutes per side." The MP3 recording which I submitted runs about 5 minutes 35 seconds. When I placed my order I specifically stated that I wanted a 45 rpm to play on a jukebox. The record which they sent me will only play in its entirety on a 100% manual turntable -- i.e. the user manually lifts the tonearm and places it on the platter, and then manually removes it when the recording ends. On any common auto-change 45 player, including jukeboxes, the this particular record will eject 30 seconds before the end of the song. A quick visual inspection revealed that the recording grooves begin about 1/3" from the edge of the record, which is about three times what it should be. When I contacted ***** at Freestyle Vinyl all I got was a snarky too-bad-so-sad-you-should-have-known-better response. (Entirely consistent with virtually every BBB complaint ***** has answered.) Apparently Freestyle Vinyl's motto is "the customer is always wrong." I recently checked their website and noted there is now a small disclaimer that these records may not work on jukeboxes. Lastly, the audio quality was (almost) adequate for my purposes, but certainly nothing to crow about. Buyer beware.Freestyle Vinyl Llc

Hi ******* - I'm sorry you're unsatisfied, but as noted on our product page, we cannot guarantee a custom lathe-cut record will align perfectly to the automated functions of a jukebox built for mass-pressed records. No lathe-cut record producer can make that guarantee! I also don't think it's fair to say we had a snarky / custom-is-wrong attitude, as we tried to explain the issue from our perspective and showed where that disclaimer is on the product page you purchased from!Review fromAlice N
