01/28/2025 for the amount of $2500.Went through State Farm to have my vehicle (which did not start) towed a block away to Meinekes in crestwood,Il . After it got towed to the facility the manager **** called me and gave me a verbal estimate of $7,000 to fix my car. Upon arriving to facility before closing time he never asked for my ID or any type of information all he kept doing was giving me quotes. Mind you this shop does not have any labor prices posted so Im just going based on what hes telling me. Someway he got my quote down to $2500, never send me anything, never showed me anything and never gave me anything as far as quotes go before I left. I told him I cannot afford that and he had me apply for some financing through their own computer in which I couldve have done on my phone with a QR code. I let him know that I would make a decision Monday since they are closed Sunday. I call Meineke at 7:30am Monday morning and got transfered to customer service **********************, I let the lady ****** know that I did not want my car being worked on and she stated it should not be a problem since the shop does not open til 8am but still insisted I call shop at 8am and let them know not to do anything to my vehicle. 8am comes and I talk to **** the manager and he tells me that my car is in pieces and the job had been started already. I was irate and let him know I would not be paying that much for that job. He said he would call me back in half hour after speaking to someone higher up. An hour and half goes by and I receive a text invoice that does not have match my name, address, email address. I left work to rush to the shop to figure out what was going on and it was just lie after lie. I asked why was he using different names on the invoice and he stated that was what the towing company gave him. I let him know I talked to the towing company and they said all they give is the name of the owner of vehicle that ********** gives them. Then **** the manager switched up the

On 1-28-25 we had a customers car towed in to our shop.  After receiving the car from the tow truck driver I asked him if he had any information who owned the car and he gave me the info. After loging the information in we found several item that needed to be adressed.  We called the customer after the inspection to inform him what needed to be done the total came to ******* to fix everything. Customer came into the store to go over the estimate.  He said to after applying for credit with our company to get it done.  He called back after closing and talked with the after hour phone personnel to say if we did not start on car to wait.  We started the work as soon as he gave us the go ahead. He came in the next business day with a mechanic of his own and said he wanted to change some items on his bill I assume things they could do them selfs the total bill came out to ******* We did everything we could to make this customer happy even after enduring the nasty comments

I am rejecting this response because:
never did I give consent to fix my vehicle and never was I even told my exhaust was going to be taken a part amongst many other things. This is unprofessional and disgusting on how I got scammed into a quote that made no sense. Refund would be nice even though that still wont fix the damage they added to my vehicle.

They put new brakes and pads on my car front and back. Now it is making a lot of noise on the front passenger side. I took the car back to them and they didnt correct the noise. They were out to scam me for $3,800 more dollars which I refused to pay that kind of money. They put the brakes on it and they should had been working fine. So I asking for them to reimburse me.

I was recently a general manager for Beacon auto repair at a ******* location ********************************* Meineke. While employed, I was authorized by the ** to install parts on my personal vehicle purchased through the company credit account at wholesale cost with no labor or markup added and was given no mandated day that I was to pay for the repair since I was an employee. It was approved. A few weeks ago, Beacon auto repair illegally withdrew $463 from my personal paycheck without notice to myself or any authorization from myself whatsoever. I was also adamantly refused a formal receipt for my payment by the second highest person in the company, **** *******. After informing **** of his illegal action he still refused to give a receipt. I am uncertain of the transaction date due to refusal of receipt, but Meineke corporate mandated warranty is 12months/ 12K miles and this was within 2 months ago. The ** CV axle (halfshaft) was installed improperly and has led to excessive damage to my vehicle. It has worked its way out of the side of the transmission causing severe and potentially deadly damage (was driving 70 mph on highway when my brake pedal went to the floor with complete and potentially catastrophic brake failure) to my front suspension and entire front braking system. Since it worked its way out of the left side of the transmission it has distorted the entire front left knuckle which in turn distorted the entire brake system on the left front side as well, causing severe grinding of the caliper actually touching the rotor. When the caliper and knuckle distorted it caused a bending of the metal that in turn allows my brake pedal to hit the floor with no braking power whatsoever. The brake light, ABS light, and traction control light have all illuminated on the dash. An extremely loud noise is present and no braking power. This is EXTREMELY dangerous. I have since left the company and they have refused to honor their contractual warranty as a Meineke franchisee.

Hello my name is ***********************,I came into Meineke ******** Center in Crestwood, ( ******************************************************************************** *****) on 3/15/2024 to get my driver side heater fixed. I spoke to the staff member ******************************* who has to be the Service Manager. I told him that my heater on the driver side had stopped working and that the passenger side is working fine. He replied by letting me know that they would have to run a diagnostic test to see what was going on with the car. I said okay. When they ran the test he told me that my HVAC Blend Door Actuator needs to be fixed. And also I need Brake Pads and Rotors in the front. A cabin Air filter And Air filter. ******************************* told me it will be $1350.00 to get it fix and that I would have to put $500.00 down so that they can get started. I asked why so much he replied and said that the model and the year of the vehicle the parts be high, and i have to remember that they have to charge me for labor too. I shrug my shoulders and said ok. I asked ******************************* can I have receipt of me paying the down payment and the remaining balance. He respond ok. Picked the car up on 3/16/24 ******************************* said my remaining balance is ********. I respond and said how, the receipt that he gave me my remaining balance says$850.00. He told me that was wrong and that they had to put a HVAC Mode Door Actuator. I respond and said nobody called me about that. he said because no need you needed that part. I responded and said your policy is to call the customers to let them know whats going. ( He charge me with that part) he did take it off, but said *** $878.20 because they still had to put the part on there. So 4 months later my heater on the driver side stop working again. I took it back to the shop cause I had a warranty. ******************************* told me that that's not the case that I had other issues within the heater going out. So I took it to another Meineke in ************* and paid them $97.83 and they told me its the same problem. Help

On April 27, 2023; I took my 2008 ****** Titan truck to Meineke for an inspection because I was hearing noise on the front of the truck. They found a crack on the strut to the right passenger side. They removed and replaced the front suspension strut on both sides, by using a suspension strut and coil spring assembly part. They also removed and replaced the exhaust muffler, by using a quiet flow SS exhaust tail pipe part. The total cost was $1,388.40. The invoice number is RO #*******. About 3-4 weeks after the repair my ABS sensor light on the dashboard came on intermittently. I took the truck to *********************, **************************************************************** on 6/13/23 for a diagnostic test and they found damage to the sensor wire due to rubbing on wheel because it was not properly secured, bolt for bracket was broken and found right hand side front sensor was zip tied and bolt not all the way in; will require left ABS sensor with broken bolt repair and right side bilt. ****** installed sensor ASSY-anti skid front replaced left side sensor, drilled broken bolt out, installed new bolts and repaired right side bolt. I returned to Meineke after the findings at ****** to speak to the individual (******************) who repaired my vehicle and was told by his co-worker that he was terminated. My complaint against Meineke is because they were the only mechanics underneath my truck, performing front end repair work, prior to me taking the truck to ****** and ****** finding bracket broken, nuts broken and front sensor hanging, and zip tied together. I begin to correspond with the Meineke's manager after the repair work was completed by ******. I also sent the Meineke manager (*********************) via email (*************************************) a copy of ******'s invoice and pictures of ******'s findings. I have emailed him numerous times to confirm receipt of the invoice and pictures and have yet to hear from him.

I brought my truck in back in August and had to bring it back 5 times because the problem was not fixed, I just picked it up last week 11/10/2022 they agreed to let me take it to another shop and pay the diagnostic and refund someone my money for problems with truck, once I called them with the issues of my truck they told me bring it back to there shop. I'm out of **** and my car still not fixed and it been there and back 5 times. Once I talked with owner ************************* he confessed they didn't specialized in my type of vehicle and I should have took it somewhere else. I wasn't aware of that until now.AT THIS POINT I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO HAVE MY CAR THERE 5 TIMES AND NOT FIX AND WILL LIKE ALEAST SOME OF MY MONEY BACK TO GET MY VEHICLE FIX PROPERLY.
