1 starMade appt with an IBJ facility 3 week wait When I arrived to check in with my ID and Ins card i was sent away because I did not have a credit card. Since pain in my knee was bad went back home got card came back and waited an hour. I received a statement and paid for my July appt as stated on the check. Before any other statement I got a charge on card for the July visit Called and they said the check went for the Aug visit and Card for July visit. However, those visits had a different amount charged. Unlawfully used one payment for another and insisted, or LIED, that each visit was same price, my ins eob stated otherwise. This outfit is a rip off lie, back stabbing business. Still waiting for my refund. I will never go to another Illinois ****************************** Inst ever. Hope nobody else does either.Review fromAnne B

I went for a left shoulder injury after a golf cart rollover accident and was seen (after Physicians immediate care with anti-pain and myorelaxant) by Dr. ***** ******* at IBJI ********************* 12 days after the accident . He cheered me up and was very conservative in terms of injury assessment and follow-up care. Ordered an MRI since X-ray was inconclusive, and did not recommend PT immediately after discovering on MRI a small fracture that will heal by itself. I highly recommend Dr. ********Illinois Bone and Joint Institute

Doctor was fine, but billing was a mess. We originally chose *** from all the multiple options we had, because of their willingness to bill 3rd party insurance for a car accident. They were given the car accident insurance information, and unbeknownst to me, they didn't pay because they were not found responsible, it was a *********************** that was responsible. We tried to give *** the corrected info and they wouldn't take it. We tried to do our final follow up appointment and they refused to allow us to see the doctor because the bill wasn't paid. They refused to take the insurance info. Attorneys got involved and they still wouldn't budge, not understanding a release from the doctor is what we needed to settle the car accident. Unreasonable, illogical policies, and they went against their original word that they work with car accident insurance all the time, apparently they don't but will tell you anything to get you in the door.Illinois Bone and Joint Institute

**** promotion of their Ortho Access is an attempt to pull patients from hospital emergency rooms. I made an appointment Monday morning and was not told same-day appointments were treated as walk-in cases. After 2 hours of waiting and seeing 50 others in waiting room also waiting, I drove to hospital ER, was seen in 15 minutes, had xrays & tests for broken wrist. Excellent & attentive care from hospital doctors, definitely worth having fall-related injury treated by emergency room. I'll never go back to IBJI Ortho Access - they may have good doctors but their appointment policy is terrible.Illinois Bone and Joint Institute

MRI staff completely incompetent and no oversight. Currently being treated by an IBJI Doctor *** ordered an MRI of my elbow and upper arm. I visited the ******************* on November ****************************************************** *********** on December 4th; I booked the appointment. On the morning of December 3rd, I get a phone call from the ****************** location, stating that an error was made, and that Des Plaines is unable to do the **** but they had an opening that same evening at 6:30; I rescheduled my work schedule and accepted that appointment. Later in the day, I logged onto the patient app to complete the early check-in, and noticed that they scheduled just the upper arm scan for the 3rd, but that I would still need to go to *********** on the 4th for the elbow scan; but now I am already rescheduled to work on the 4th. I asked to speak to a manager, was told they would message one to call me, and never got a call back. When I arrived, I was told that the desk spoke to a manager and that I could email a complaint if I wanted. Stay away from this place they do not know what they're doing.Illinois Bone and Joint Institute

1 starI went to the Illinois ***************************** Institute for shin ********************. I saw a PA, ****** ****** who never even examined my leg. She claims she did a ******** test and said my test was negative. She never did this exam on my leg so she falsified my records. She also claims she did a Lachmans exam with negative results. This exam also was never performed on me. My brother is a witness as he was in the exam room with me. Falsifying my medical records is illegal. I then saw a Dr. ******* at the **** on 9/27/24 who did perform the Mc ****** test on my right leg/knee for a possible meniscus tear. During the exam, he put way too much pressure on my knee when flexing it and I screamed out in excruciating pain and that NEV** should have happened. My brother was in the room and witnessed what he did and heard me scream. He diagnosed me as having osteoarthritis and gave me a cortisone shot. At the beginning of my appointment with Dr. ******** I was trying to explain to him what I had been through with my leg pain and that I had spent 7 hours in the ** at ************************* in *********** ** on 9/24/24 where several X-rays and a Doppler test were done for DVT. Dr. ******* said I was combative and he basically told me to sit down, shut my mouth or he would not treat me. No doctor should ever speak to a patient like this! He was extremely rude & unprofessional. He showed no empathy whatsoever and he seemed very angry and upset towards me. Someone wrote a review that this Dr. ******* is arrogant and has a hot temper. I was finally able to get an MRI done on my right knee on 10/24/24 where it was discovered that I have a fracture of my medial tibia plateau measuring 2.1 x 0.9cm! My medial and lateral meniscus are also damaged which will now require surgery. I never had any kind or medial knee pain until after I saw Dr. ******* on 9-27-24. I do believe, in my opinion, that he hurt my knee intentionally and is guilty of negligence and malpractice.Review fromJanet R

1 starThis place is the worse. **************** was awful and they wanted me to get a X-ray when I had an MRI with me..how does that make sense? I waited an hour and 15 mins for a ten minute appointment with Dr. ** which was not only bad at what she does but doesnt know how to say hello or goodbye. Again, stay away from this place. All they want is your money.Review fromJoseph G

1 starIve had 3 surgeries at **** and had to have revision surgery on two of them. I should have reported my knee surgeon, ******************, for refusing to listen to me and give me drugs I specifically told him I was allergic to. Woke up during that surgery with him and the anesthesiologist having a verbal altercation. Subsequent surgeries with other surgeons were failures and had to have revision surgeries at other facilities. Recently I received very dangerous advice from another one of their surgeons. These other surgeons did not have the knowledge and expertise to correctly do the surgeries. Very dangerous place to go
