      This practice stopped taking my insurance, so I opted to see my physician and pay cash. I was told the visit would be $202.00 prior to the visit. After the visit, in which I had trouble connecting the tele visit sound for the first 5 to 7 minutes, I was charged $285.00. When I called to inquire, I was told that the visit was time stamped in which I am sure I was billed for the time in which the physician and I were trying to work around the new platform and obtain sound so the visit could continue. This is not how you bill for visits or for the insurance companies for sure. I work in the field and this in my opinion could be insurance fraud. I am currently in talks with **** to see if there is a way to dispute this bill. So sad that healthcare has come to this. In the practice I work in, we would give our patients a discount for cash, and never charge them more than what was told to the patient.

      I am currently a patient of an Advocate Healthcare doctor ****** ********* ************ who I like a great deal. Never having missed an appointment with doctor ********* I called his office many times leaving several messages with his staff I was going out of town for my appointment in July and would not be able to make it never receiving a call back from anyone. I called doctor *********** office again recently and was told he had an available appointment all of a sudden 05-27-2025 which I accepted. My mind has been ***** since a fall I suffered 12-25-2022 and forgot my appointment yesterday with doctor ********* never having missed an appointment previously with his office. I also recently had an appointment in the same office as doctor ********* with doctor ****** ******** having called and left voice messages I would not be at my appointment ************ which I was told 'they did not receive my messages.' I received message to my email from doctor *********** office I had 'missed' my appointments with doctor ********* which I did in fact but as well with doctor ******** which I did not calling and leaving messages I was unable to make my appointment with doctor ******** the following day. In the email I received from Advocate Health I was told I missed three other appointments with physical therapists at Condell Medical Center which I did not at all addressing this both with Condell Hospital and one of the physical therapists **** *******. It is still showing missed physical therapy appointments which I did not factually along with a missed appointment with doctor ******** I did not as well. As a result of simply mentioning to physical therapist ******* ******* I was addressing antisemitic issues on Instagram while being treated I was then followed by hospital staff security and watched every time I entered the facility which I also addressed. I would like someone to contact me about these matters as I missed no appointments other than doctor *********.

      Provider mailed my notices of payment to the incorrect address, and admitted they mailed the notice to the incorrect address, yet assigned the debt to the debt collector and refuses to take the debt back because they did not get a return to sender. Now the collector is also mailing everything to the wrong address, but there is no way for me to stop the harassing phone calls. I am fully able to pay what I owe, but I simply forgot after looking at the online statement way back in January then not seeing or hearing anything for months. I did not receive any of the mailed notices for four months, and Im still not receiving any debt collection notices. I promise I will immediately pay it if they take it back from collections. Its not worth all this! Also, Advocate assigned the full billed charges of services as the debt, rather than the amount I owed after insurance, meaning Advocate immediately sold the debt to the collector prior to billing my insurance company at all. That is not correct, because I did not owe Advocate full billed charges at any point.

      12/27/2024 I went to my doctor and was ordered a sleep study. He took 2 days to search for a hospital that my insurance covers. Then when I make the appointment 2 weeks later I get a letter saying I don't have insurance. I give my insurance then on the day of the sleep study they again said they didn't have my insurance. They then made me sign a document saying I'm responsible for the bill. I asked this isn't what was agreed upon for payment and the doctor said because your insurance wasn't on file we have to have you sign this and then you'll pay the deductible of your insurance once it gets processed. After this I get told my insurance wasn't covered and I have to pay the full amount. Nobody before said my insurance wasn't covered. Not the Doctor *** referred me, nor the Doctor *** gave me the service. Nor the people on the phone I gave my insurance to. They simply keep saying you signed this form that you'll pay it when I asked will I pay this full amount and the Doctor said no. This wasn't even a life threatening procedure, I did not need it. I did not benefit from it. I did it from recommendation from my Doctor *** didn't even check my insurance properly. I feel as though I have been lied to and mistreated in the billing process. I keep asking for assistance for this bill however they just say you signed this form that we lied to you about so you can't get assistance. This is grossly incompetent from the Doctor's part where she lied about the form.

      ADVOCATE MEDICAL GROUP, ****************************************. IN ADDITION, I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE 2023/2024. THE SERVICE IS A MESS. FRONT DESK STAFF AND PHONE HAVE HORRIBLE ATTITUDES OVER THERE. MY DOCTOR IS CORTEAU *. *******. IN ADDITION, HE HAS BEEN MY PRIMARY SINCE 2023/2024 YET HAS NOT CONTACTED ME UNTIL 2025. I GOT UPSET OVER THERE, AND I HAD A PHYSICAL EXAM, AND HERE IT IS GOING ON TWO YEARS, AND THIS DOCTOR, IN ADDITION, HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ME. THE MANAGER WAS THERE TODAY, MAY 5, 2025, AND THEY LIED AND SAID SHE WASN'T. COMING TO THE POINT, I DON'T LIKE THAT OFFICE, AND MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, AND THAT IS BECAUSE I GOT UPSET. IN ADDITION, HOW WAS THE MANAGER THERE YET REFUSED TO SPEAK TO ME? I WAS THERE FOR BLOOD WORK AND A PAP TEST. AT THIS POINT, WITH THAT TERRIBLE STAFF WHO NEEDS SERIOUS MEDICAL TRAINING, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GO BACK.

      I went to Christ for routine gynecological exam. ******** said the exam was coded incorrectly. They recorded it, but they still left the exam coded or listed as a preventative exam. It shouldve been yearly routine exam. Christ refused to change it, and ******** said it was not coded the correct way. it to be a duplicate to ********. Christ said it is correct and to contact ********. ******** said I have to contact Christ. Christ is still charging me $352 for this visit and ******** has already paid their portion.

      Back on March 24th 2025 I began to reach out to Advocate Health Care regarding my lieutenant pros eye drops and why the prescription was never filled or put through from my doctor. After multiple messages and multiple times with me reaching out finally on April 24th after no answer from them at all they told me I had to figure it out on my own. I figured it out on my own no thanks to them and I asked them to Simply put in my prescription for ******************. Instead of the 180 tablets that I've been getting prescribed for years somehow the doctor or advocate only put in for 90 tablets. Just my luck to Pharmacy said I can't return what I already picked up so now the quantity is split up and I have to pay more money because of advocates further failing of simple procedure. This is a poor example of healthcare because clearly they have no care at all for me. To add insult to injury after a month of not having my eye drops and probably going blind, they got my ****************** prescription wrong and now I have to pay more because the prescriptions are split up.

      I was given a bill, 2 months after all other bills. This one is for ******* cents. Unlike the other bills this one is not Itemized so I called their hotline, **************. While trying to get ahold of someone instead of getting a person I was given a constant menu loop. Which would not get me to a person...I'm not paying this bill until it's itemized.

      I was billed for an emergency room visit to Advocate Christ Hospital. The bill is over $900.I tried to setup a payment plan over the phone and was told I had to make an $80 monthly payment.I explained to the representative that I could not afford $80 but I can afford $50. I was told that $50 was not acceptable , it had to be $80, or I would not be put on a payment plan.I emailed the CEO of Advocate ****** ***** (11/5/2024) and explained the situation. A few days later the billing system accepted the $50. I continued to make payments. After the 3rd payment, the account disappeared and now the ********************* collection company is contacting me. I reached out to ****** ***** again (1/28/2025) and the email was rejected.
