I have no complaint about the results of my bathroom remodel. The room finished just as I envisioned once it was completed. The kitchen countertop looks very nice, again, once it was completed.
If I had to do it over again I would ask for Itemization and I would insist on separate contracts for each project rather than lumping everything into one with one final total.
The initial quote and contract included a complete removal of plaster which, in the end, was not required. I did not receive a reduction in the final bill. If I would have had an Itemization then that would have been advantageous for me to ask for that reduction.
Negotiate! Scott's supplier is ******* for the bulk of his products. If ******* is offering their 11% Rebate Program then ask for that money to be subtracted from the materials quoted price.
No follow-up unless you call and ask. If there are any loose ends, takes weeks to get finished. Do not pay In Full until every detail is complete 100%.
Scott subcontracts his jobs and if that subcontractor is busy with his own projects then lead times can be very long.
Scott is verbally abrasive if you question him or if there is a issue so be prepared! This is my first home purchase without my deceased spouse and so I wonder if Scott would have treated me differently?
I learned so much from this home remodel. I will absolutely shop around next time.
