Scammers. No service provided but got charged response charge of 800 for a call that some unknown person made. Refused services and they are still billing.

As a ***************** worker living in a rural area, I would NOT recommend this ambulance service to any of my family or patients. I live in a rural area and Superior is the only ambulance to transport. I am deeply saddened to share a title within the healthcare community with this organization. In October 2021, I encounter a potentially life threatening emergency and my family called 9-1-1 for emergency services help. Superior Ambulance was dispatched to my home and transported me to my local hospital. The billing and communication with this company has been a nightmare. I was originally billed and informed by my insurance company that Superior Ambulance was out of network. I then filed an appeal with my insurance company who did an adjustment and offered in network adjustments which was denied by Superior. While awaiting correspondence from the appeal, I had began payments with Superior . At this same time, I was contacted by Wakefield and Associates and informed the claim was turned to collections. Payments were then initiated by me with Wakefield while still waiting for additional return contact from Superior(request was sent via chat after multiple failed attempts to speak with an individual) . Nearly one month passed before I received a return call and was informed they were behind. Each time I was transferred within Superior I have been given a different balance. I requested to speak to the billing supervisor and was transferred to the HR complaints supervisor, ********** who was extremely rude and only wanted her voice to be heard and was quick to use the phrase I will not tolerate you belittling me and my staff while provoking the conversation with her last minute digs before transferring to her boss at my request and her reluctance to do such or to provide CEO contact information. As a personal and patient advocate, I highly question the billing by this company and am disgusted with the professionalism, communication and decency.

It would be zero stars if that were an option. This company is beyond predatory and should not be allowed to be in business. I was charged in excess of $8,000 to be transported from one hospital to another - from **********, ** to *********, **. I went to the *** was admitted, and per doctor's ******* was transported to *********. Superior was literally the only company that could transport me that night so I was forced to use an out-of-network company. Still, my insurance company paid Superior at the in-network rate - which Superior will tell you they aren't obligated to accept as payment in full but they sure accepted that payment. Then, they claim to be exempt from federal legislation prohibiting balance billing because they "provided ground transportation." The representative that answered when I called Superior was rude, kept talking over me, and said that they had my signature on file agreeing to pay their costs. I went the the ** with a temp of almost 105 degrees - I certainly don't recall signing anything of that nature! When I attempted to dispute that claim, the rep continued to talk over me and hung up on me when I asked her who she was talking to that way. They are still trying to collect almost $6,000 from me, which I WILL NOT pay. I have already met my deductible and according to my insurance company, I only owe Superior $255 and some change - THAT is all they will see from me. Absolutely ludicrous that this company is allowed to stay in business. I'd rather drive myself to the hospital while bleeding from my jugular before using this company again!

The driver assigned to transport me from St. ***************** to my home, a three-mile trip, was very negligent: 1) She claimed she couldn't find the outpatient surgical center; 2) She neglected to bring a wheelchair to the center. She walked ahead of me down the corridor, and for some reason turned and observed me leaning against the wall because I was weak and dizzy; 3) After getting the wheelchair and positioning me in it, she shoved the wheelchair into the elevator; 4) She used the revolving door to exit the building; 5) She looked at her cellphone while driving in rush hour traffic on Lake Shore Drive; 6) When arriving at my home, she lowered the chair ramp and instructed me to get on it. When I asked her why she wanted me to do that, she replied, "How else are you going to get out?". The driver didn't wear a name tag, or wear the Superior uniform shirt.I made several attempts to register my complaint, to no avail. Every time I called a number in the Superior conglomerate, I was either disconnected or promised a return call. Only one call was returned. When I called the person and number left on my voicemail, I was told she was unavailable. I finally sent an email outlining my experience, and sent a $15 payment, equal to the cab fare and gratuity from my home to St. Joseph's.I received another invoice for $30 on July 20.

They charge outlandish rates for their service than say they are out of network for insurance. Leaving the customer with a very large ****
